Can only boot into TWRP after SuperSU Update

Hey Team, was hoping I could get some assistance. I updated SuperSU (was prompted to) and now I can only boot the phone into TWRP. If I tell TWRP to reboot system it still only boots into TWRP. I think this is probably something simple, but I don't have a clue.

Thanks ahead of time.

Replace Superuser with Supersu

Hey everyone! :)

I need your help!
Anyone know how to replace SuperUser ( Kingo Root) to SuperSU ? :(
Thanks for your help ! :D

Stuck in bootloop after flashing to CM13 / SuperSU

I was trying to root my OPO by flashing SuperSU Beta_V2.52 but after each flash my OPO goes into a boot loop, flashed several builds of SuperSU (inc; beta's) and all of them result in a bootloop. To be on the safe side i did fresh installs of CM13 via bootloader, no result.

Pulling my hair what the solution will be. Dev's from "Cyanogenmod-team" are aware of this problem but find its not there problem to solve...:

It needs to be said that this issue with SU is something that is outside the scope of official support. We neither recommend or support SuperSU installs, as it opens the device up security wise in ways that most users (not all, some do the homework to understand what's going on) either ignore or are ignorant of. So if there's a bootloop happening, you are going to need to diagnose it on your own, or with others help here. You can also check XDA as well.

Phone won't boot after updating SuperSU

I need help immediately cause I am paniking. So I rooted my phone using the KingRoot application, and after the root was succesful used SuperSu-Me to remove KingRoot. SuperSu-Me installed SuperSU on my device which in turn had to install an update, so I let it do its thing. After the update was installed SuperSU prompted me to reboot my phone so i did. Problem is the phone has been stuck for about half an hour in the shifting shapes screen, fastboot doesn't work. I have tried hard reseting it but the problem persists.

Problems to install SuperSU

Hey xda,

i have some huge problems to install SuperSU.
My original goal was to install xposed and if i'm correct, i need super su for it.

To give you some basic informations.
I have an Firephone with 4.6.6.1 on it and tried the following thing:
  1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/fire...persu-t3105546

  2. http://forum.xda-developers.com/fire...ework-t3392804

  3. http://www.w0lfdroid.com/2015/05/How...h-SuperSU.html

At point 1, i failed at Step 7.
For Point 2, Super SuMe starts but this was all, no progress.
Point 3 installed SuperSu but it won't work at all.

So i'm little bit depressed and have no idea what to do now.
I would like to keep stock firmware, but would have no problems to flash TWRP or anything like this and flash SuperSU, if It's possible.

Maybe some of you have an idea or the same problems with a solution.

OnePlus 2 BootLoop while flashing SuperSU using TWRP

Hello there, I was trying to root my OnePlus 2 (Oxygen OS 3.0.2) using TWRP & SuperSU method.
After Successfully replacing stock recovery with the TWRP in my phone, I take a backup in of my whole system in TWRP.
After that I installed SuperSU.zip from TWRP, clear Dalvik Cache and reboot the phone. Phone was not starting. It was showing to boot animation for 15-20 min, I restarted my phone for 3-4 times but still the same thing. In technical term, after I install SuperSU from TWRP my device ran into BootLoop issue.
After I recover my backup, everything is fine, again I tried with a different version of SuperSU and encountered the same problem.

Tried SuperSU Version: 2.76 & 2.67
OS: Android Marhmallow
Oxigen OS: 3.0.2

Any help how can I root my phone successfully would be a great help! Thank you! :crying:

Lg l90 startup problem after trying to switch from KingRoot to SuperSU

Hi xda,
i currently have an lg g 90 (pretty old model) that is rooted with either kingroot or super su, im not sure. I originally had kingroot but used super su me to try to switch to super su. It said it was completed but kingroot was still there. I then restarted my device and it got stuck on the load up screen with the t-mobile logo. I tried restarting it many times. I then found a tutorial to factory reset my phone but now in the setup, it wont let me go past wifi. It wont even let me type in a password. I'll click next and it will take me to a blank page and back to the wifi setup. Also once this problem is resolved, would it be able to install twerp and cm13 on it? Thank You!

[Problem] Device freezes after SuperSU installing (brick?)

Hello,

i used the following guide to root my Sony:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xper...weaks-t3298224

As i have written there in the last comment i just used "unlock bootloader" and "flash recovery". That was working good but after trying to root the device by installing SuperSU i can no longer start it.

I only geht the first screen with white background and "Sony" and nothing more happens. But I can turn it off (using sound and power buttons) and go to recovery mode of TWRP.

My question is now: Can i rescue my phone? How about a factory reset to get everything back to life? (and how to do so?)
For me it is most important to get the phone work again.

Thanks for helping,

Supersu stops working on 6.0 marshmallow samsung grand duos

I installed marshmallow 6.0 and it works perfectly but it says supersu stopped working! and root checker shows no proper root access... i tried supersu 1.6,2.16 and 2.37 versions but none of them work or appear in the menu the rest is working good

OnePlus One - ROM without SuperSU

Hi all,

suddenly the Temasek retire developing ROM for OnePlus One, which means quite bad news for me... due to company application limitation I can use only ROM which does not contain SuperSU, nor eXposed.

The application works only on the CM developer root ROMs. The app works on the clean CM, but I am missing a lot of features there, the @temasek ROM was awesome :good:
I started learning how to build ROM, but suddenly I do not have enough time to develop my own ROM :(

I would like to ask if somebody has an list of ROM which does contain only the CM developer root. I tried in past to take ROM with SuperSU and remove it inTWRP, but the app still does not work... which means once SuperSU is added to the ROM it add something somewhere, which is found by app and it refuse to work (security reasons as per app developers ).

I would like to avoid testing like 20 different ROMs ... if possible.
Thank you very much in advance.

SuperSU uninstall problem

After uninstalling SuperSU, some files and the superuser folder(root) are still present.
Is it necessary to delete them or could i leave them there?
Furthermore after deleting the supersu folder, it still appears after a reboot.

I'm running CM13 with the LLama Sweet Kernel.

Reboots between the installation of SuperSU, custom kernel, Xposed...

I am actually using this order to reinstall all the system each time a new security revision is out for my Nexus 6P.

Quote:

Flash Factory image
Reboot
Flash TWRP
Flash SuperSU
Reboot
Flash custom kernel (ElementalX)
Reboot
Flash Xposed
Install Busybox

Unfortunately, the "Android is upgrading... Optimizing app x of 193" lasts a loooooong time, and it needs to be made two times: one after I install the factory image (with no data erase), and another time when Xposed is installed.

In order to get a correct setup, I heard that, after SuperSU is installed, it needs to enter the system to do some things. And if I don't recall correctly, the kernel too. Do you think it may be possible to supress some reboot in my list, without affect something, so I can avoid the two long cache creations?

Thank you very much and kind regards.

Stuck in boot loop after flashing superSU (Marshmallow)

Hi all, I am playing around with an HTC m8 to decide if I should use it as replacement of my Nexus 4 (so far, too big and heavy ;)).

But well, I unlocked the phone and installed TWRP. All worked fine, but then I flashed supersu and I'm stucked in a boot loop. I am reading a lot of things but I am unsure about what to do now and how to actually root the phone and start installing a different ROM as I don't know what´s the phone model. It says M8_UL in fastboot...

I´m looking at this but not sure if this phone is gpe.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
