No signal after installing 4G LTE switch app

Hi everyone,
Yesterday i tried to download and install this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...switcher&hl=it 4G LTE Switch because i wanted to lock my network in 4G.
It worked, then, when i set back GSM Only, my signl stopped. No service. I tried a factory reset, then i re-flashed my firmware with Odin (could it be something with the modem?)
No service bars at all, between the WIFI, and the battery percentage is a 'prohibited sign'? a circle with a line straight through it, top left to bottom right
Please someone help me, i don't wanna send AGAIN my Phone to Sammy...........

PS. phone is Galaxy S6Edge Official, running last firmware available.

Can't switch back to 3G or LTE. Left with only 2G connection.

Facts:
- OnePlus 2 (European Edition, Germany)
- CM13 (13.0-20160721-NIGHTLY-oneplus2)
- Provider: Telekom (Congstar)

My OPT refused to switch to anything more then EDGE (2G) a few days ago. First I though the network was down but after a few days I checked with other phones and only mine wont switch to 3G or LTE.

When I tried to cheange the "prefered network" toggle, I switched it to 2G and now I can't switch it back to 3G or LTE. The options are still there but when I select them they instantly switch back to 2G. Even in the Advanced menu that you can enter by dialing *#*#4636#*#* I can't the setting is fixed to "GSM only" and I can't change it.

When I search for network I can only find 2G networks. In the Results are only Vodafone 2G and Congstar 2G which is my provider.

I would love to get this fixed without completely reflashing my device. Does any one else have a similar problem and maybe a solution?

Problem with Panasonic Eluga Switch software and Download Mode

Hello, i have an Alcatel Idol 3 5,5 (6045) and i decided to root it, so installed all that i needed (drivers, adb ..). But the problem is that i need to unlock the OEM thing, so i need to flash my smartphone to its original stock ROM, so i downloaded the Panasonic Eluga Switch one (which is a rebranded idol 3) and launched it, but the problem it seem that my device CAN'T load in download mode, i tried anything :

Uninstalling/Reinstalling all drivers
Executing the software as administrator
Executing the software with Windows XP compatibility mode
The volume + and - and USB method
The ADB method, it worked for anything else (rebooting in fastboot and recovery mode) but it won't work for the download one, it just reboot normally, i don't know why all is exactly correct, i tested with MTP and PTP usb modes, and in two differents windows, and nothing worked at all. :)

Please, is someone have the solution to boot my stupid idol 3 on download mode i would be grateful to him. Cordially.

Current Cricket customer, want to switch to MetroPCS unlimited data plan tethering?

I'm currently with Cricket Wireless. MetroPCS is advertising great speeds and with their unlimited plan, I was thinking about tethering my phone to my PC and using it's data plan and speeds for my PC. This way, it's cheaper than getting new Internet Service and I get to use my phone as well. Is it truly unlimited data and is there any limitations when it comes to tethering to PC? Do I need an add-on pack for that? Is it easy to do with any phone or would a certain phone be easier? I haven't purchased a phone yet so I will need to know which is best and if it will work! Thanks guys.

Decided it was not worth the wait for the Note. I like it so far. Same exact setup as my M8. Gotta find a better keyboard though.

Lg l90 startup problem after trying to switch from KingRoot to SuperSU

Hi xda,
i currently have an lg g 90 (pretty old model) that is rooted with either kingroot or super su, im not sure. I originally had kingroot but used super su me to try to switch to super su. It said it was completed but kingroot was still there. I then restarted my device and it got stuck on the load up screen with the t-mobile logo. I tried restarting it many times. I then found a tutorial to factory reset my phone but now in the setup, it wont let me go past wifi. It wont even let me type in a password. I'll click next and it will take me to a blank page and back to the wifi setup. Also once this problem is resolved, would it be able to install twerp and cm13 on it? Thank You!

Can not switch of bad OIS

Hi guys! I have read the whole thread about bad OIS but for some reason neither Cinema 4K, nor Proshot in case of any resolution do not switch off OIS ( or they do, but terrible jelly when the camera is mounted to a bike remains unaltered ). Has anyone experienced such issue? What might be the reason? I have the latest stock firmware update, the phone is not rooted. Hope, that someone will help me out.

Switch adoptable storage

I currently have a 128GB SSD I'm using as adoptable storage. With the prices of larger SSD's dropping I can see buying a larger one sometime. If I buy a larger one and plug it into usb and select it to be adoptable will all the files on the smaller SSD be copied over?

[Guide] Smart Switch & Your Samsung Phone

Hello Everyone!

Today I bring you this guide on how to back up & restore your phone* via Samsung's Smart Switch

*Supports Samsung phones only, may support other Android phones

What is "Smart Switch?"
Smart Switch is Samsung's PC/Mac and Android/iOS data transferring software, which allows you to switch between phones (ex: iPhone 6 to a Galaxy S7,) while keeping all your important files, pictures, and videos. Smart Switch also allows you to backup your files (Not including the operating system) to your computer, which you can restore your phone to. You can download Smart Switch HERE!
Backing Up Via Smart Switch

Backing Up is easy with Smart Switch. Simply connect your phone/tablet to your PC, open Smart Switch, and click backup. This will backup all your Apps, Photos, Videos, Music, Contacts, Call Logs, Memos, Documents, Home Screen Prefs, and Settings. This will take a while due to how much stuff Smart Switch has to backup, unless your phone is bare bones already. You can also review previous backups, and delete them. Backups are located in your Documents folder.
Getting Aquainted & Preparing for Software Recovery
Not only can you backup your files, but you can also restore your phone* back to factory! (*Samsung phones only)
Located next to the "minimize window" button, lies a button called "More." Upon clicking it reveals a drop-down menu with some options, we are going to mainly focus on one button in particular for this portion of the guide, that button being the "Emergency Software Recovery & Device Initialization." Upon clicking it, a window will pop-up, this is where you can restore your phone from a botched flash or soft brick. If a software update OTA went wrong, stay on the "Emergency Software Recovery" tab, otherwise, click on the "Device Initalization" tab. Make sure you have the appropriate cables to connect your phone to the PC, and make sure they fit correctly, and do not have any issues. I recommend you use the cable that came with your phone, but any third-party data transfer cables work too. Turn off your phone, and reboot it into Odin/Download mode (Usually Vol Down, Power, and Home Button.)

Actual Software Recovery
This is the part where you have to enter everything correctly. In the "Device Initalization" tab, enter the model number of the phone, which will then prompt you to enter the S/N (Serial Number) of the device you have.
  • For the S6/S7 the S/N sticker is located on the back of the phone, hopefully you didn't tear that sticker off...

  • For phones with rear covers that can be taken off (Like the Galaxy Core Prime, etc) your S/N will be on the battery or battery compartment

  • If your phone doesn't have a S/N sticker (If it never came with one) use Samsung Kies instead.

  • If you tore off the S/N sticker, you're going to have to hunt down a stock ROM for your phone...sorry man.

It is then, while your device is still in Odin/Download more, should you connect your phone to your PC.
After CAREFULLY entering the Model Name/Number, and the Serial Number, Smart Switch will automatically download the Stock ROM, Bootloader, Kernel, etc for that device. After it downloads everything, Smart Switch will automatically flash the files to your device, so sit there and monitor both Smart Switch & your phone. If everything is successful, Smart Switch will say so, and ask you to unplug, and re plug your phone to the computer. Your phone will reboot by itself, and may take a while to get to the "Welcome" android setup screen. If this doesn't happen, try a reboot. If the device will not go past a certain screen (ex: T-Mobile, or Samsung) make sure you typed in the correct information, and try again. If you backed up via Smart Switch, now's the time to restore.

Restoring Backups Via Smart Switch

After a successful device initialization, or a complete wipe of the phone, Smart Switch comes in handy. If you have done a backup via Smart Switch, restoring is easy. Simply click on the "Restore" button. If you have multiple backups of the same device, you can choose which one to restore to, by default, Smart Switch will select the newest backup. Smart Switch will then proceed to restore your personal items, and may take a while. This will restore all your Apps, Photos, Videos, Music, Contacts, Call Logs, Memos, Documents, Home Screen Prefs, and Settings (albeit you still have to change some settings to your pleasing.)
(Note: Smart Switch will slow down while restoring Apps, due to the fact that there are so many, so DON'T exit or quit Smart Switch
)

And this ends this guide, from me Matt. Hopefully I've saved you from hunting down a stock ROM from a suspicious website. Got any questions? PM me or, write down in the comments below, as I & some fellow XDA Dev's may be able to help you,

[Tutorial] Switch to last Stock Rom (with gaps) from a Retailer Rom

Dear All,

Please find my first tutorial for this phone that I received today.
I took information from different site and from discussion of this forum.
The goal is to help new user and get them quicker to the result.
The idea is no to root in order to keep OTA update from leeco
I will explain how to :
  • Install last stock rom (in order to get future OTA update)

  • Install Google play store and others google apps

  • Make google contacts appears in "phone" menu

  • Install Morelocale 2 to switch in other languages than English

So Let's begin,
  • Install last stock rom (in order to get future OTA update)

First of all, download here the last rom :
http://bbs.le.com//zt/eui/le_max2.html
While create a leeco account following these instructions :
http://in.lemall.com/in/help/help-pid-5-id-375.html
You might find your activation link into your spams.
When the download is finished, rename the file in update.zip
Put it at the root of the phone
shut down the phone.
press the power button + volume up key to enter the upgrade interface, according to the following specific operating procedures.
Select "Use update.zip Update System" -> "Update" and "clear cache", reboot into the system
  • Install Google play store and others google apps

Google play is avalaible form the LeStore, you need to download from there. Type google in the search bar of leStore and you will find it :
Attachment 3810024
After you have google play, you can install gmail, calender, maps, youtube...
  • Make google contacts appears in "phone" menu

I had the same issue than others, with the google contact inside the phone.
To make work, download and install this APK :
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-...-apk-download/
After that, go to settings, App management, look for "Google contacts Sync", Permissions, and "tick" Contacts
Now it should work.
  • Install Morelocale 2 to switch in other languages than English

If you want other language than English, you can download morelocale from play store.
To make it your without root :
switch into developper mode :
settings, about the phone, click severals time on build number
Install Adb drivers on your computer from there : http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2317790
connect your phone in usb debug mode.
into the command line C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot\ send this adb shell pm grant jp.co.c_lis.ccl.morelocale android.permission.CHANGE_CONFIGURATION
You will be able to change to you language.
  • Tips

If you need to read some chinese, use Google translate app from your previous phone, you can take picture to translate some chinese.

I hope it will help some guys.

Wifi Near profile doesn't switch off vibrate mode

I have a WiFi Near profile which activates if the CELLA variable is equal 1 and my home wifi is near.
It turns on the wifi which is working fine and there is a command Silent mode OFF which is not working for some unknown reason. I have also tried to replace this command with the Ringer volume set to 5 command but this also doesn't work.
I can feel one vibration if this profile becomes active so I think this maybe working but after that it is immediately turns in to vibrate mode.

What could be the problem?
