[Q] Making a custom boot animation

Hello,

i have been looking for instructions on how to actually create my own boot animation.

The only things I found here was a guide on how to place boot animations, how to create one from a video file and a tool on how to make your own boot animation....

however:
there is actually no instructions or I have not seen them how to actually make the boot file, I want to something similar to evervolv boot animation with my own text. the tool seems the way to go but it says that I need part files, how to make them what do I actually need to do? a pointer would be really helpful and appreciated.

I want to start making a custom recoveries and/or custom roms but need help

So I want to get into android developing really heavily and want to make things from complete scratch.things such as custom recoveries and custom roms. I want to know where to start.

G4 Making Unlock Sound Play Full Length

Hello,
One thing I always play with while rooted are system ui sounds, especially lock/unlock sounds. I have been wondering for the longest time if there is some way to make the unlock sound play it's full length, rather than only about a second. (i.e. circlemosaic_unlock, hulahoops_unlock) The thing is, the locking sound (i.e. hulahoops_lock) plays for as long as the sound file is.. or at least multiple seconds longer than the unlock sound.
I have never had a "touchdown" sound longer than a second, so I'm not sure how long that one plays, but any insight/help would be so much appreciated.
(I would finally be able to let the engine roar in my Jaguar F-Type lockscreen pack!) :p

Making an Android ROM from scratch

I was thinking of making an Android ROM for my final year project (we are a group of 4).How much time does it take to develop a ROM from scratch?! I am a newbie to ROM. Please assist me.

Error 255 in TWRP when making a Nandroid Backup

Hello friends !

So to install CM13 on my tab (GT-P5110) i need to make a Nandroid Backup.
Unfortunately, when at 75 % of the backup, the log of TWRP says me : E : createTarFork process ended with error=255
Any clues to resolve this issue ?

Making a CM13 based custom ROM?

Hello Everyone!

I was wondering if it would be possible to create a CyanogenMod based ROM for these headunits. I currently have an Eonon GA5163F. I don't have any experience with developing on the Android platform, but I am willing to put in the effort if someone would be able to help me get started on the project, if it is possible, of course.

Power button is making locksreen sound twice

When I try to lock the mobile using power button, locksreen aound is coming twice sometimes.
When I lock the device using power button , it is first locking the screen and immediately unlocking automatically and vice versa is happening.
Tried restore of mobile.still no luck.
Does anyone faced these problem?

I like to Streamlining my android system usage with least input required

Is there any apk or script that allow me to automatically making calls all my contact numbers without tediously always manually doing it what takes so much time, I would like option allowing it able to call each groups etc.
SO i can just pick up 40 contacts and It will keep calling each 40 numbers in linear order one by one, so it will make able to start another call from every time previous call is finished or not picked. and there is way to stop it of course then too.

I just like to call my friends and keep up with them, without constantly needing to manually select another contact and use my hands.

Making Stock Rom faster without root?

Hello, I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000 with Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread. 2 years ago, I made a factory settings on both internal storage and internal SD card, and only installed one app which is WhatsApp just for communication. I didn't load my Google account into it as I know Google Service will make the phone even more laggy. However the new WhatsApp updates make the phone lag to death. Now when I click into WhatsApp it takes 10seconds for the phone to respond. When I click into someone's chat it will show a black screen for almost a minute. I guess WhatsApp developers doesn't expect people using a single-core phone with such low Android version nowadays. Is there anyway to make the phone faster? It would be better if no root or custom ROM is required. Thank you :)
