Automatically enable Power Saving Mode
I have Galaxy S2 Classic (SM-R732) with software version R732XXU2CPC5. Is there a way to automatically enable Power Saving Mode when battery power gets below a certain percentage like I can with my S6? I have noticed a prompt to enable power saving when the battery gets to 15%, but if miss the prompt and I don't hit the checkmark, it stays on normal power and dies.
Also, do Samsung reps monitor this forum? If there is no way to do it automatically, can this feature be added in a future update?

Power button problem
Hi all,
I have accident on sea where one wave splashed a bag where my phone was. After small problems with "laggy" buttons everything went fine and my phone worked correctly except power button. It doesn't react. I couldn't even restart the phone. And when my battery was used I coudnt turn it on. I tried to press volume up + power button million times, or all 4 buttons, and somehow I manage to turn it on again while still I was on vacation. Few times I have entered Android recovery screen, and Power button worked perfectly there (I managed to press power button and select reboot device). And after the phone turn on power button would usually works few minutes and then it would died again.
I have installed software for simulation of power button and it worked ok. This morning somehow I decided to turn off my phone, and I couldn't even imagine what kind of problems I will have to turn it on again. Whole day I am trying to turn it on, but it doesn't react. When I pull in charger then it shows regularly battery status (70%). I am desperate :crying:
I am trying to google or find any solution how to bring it ON again without power button, but without success :(
Is there any way how could I turn Samsung galaxy S6 Edge Plus without power button?
Many thanks in advance.

[TECH DISCUSSION] Is it possible to have a Dash Charge power bank?
So I'm in my junior year of electrical engineering and seeing the incredible things done with smartphones is something I really would like to be a part of one day. I wanted to discuss, considering the limits of current technology, if it would be possible to create a safe Dash Charging power bank for this device? For those who don't know how dash charging works I'll post a few links and my understanding of how it works and if I'm wrong at any point feel free to correct me.
Dash Charging - The Technology
The way dash charging works, as I understand it, is that the USB-C cable wires are made wider in diameter to accommodate a larger amount of current being passed through to the battery. The charger plugged into the wall takes on the burden of the extra voltage pushing the current through the wire and keeping it away from the phone's internal battery (which is brilliant). That means that the charger takes on the extra heat which isn't a problem because passive components are often more tolerant of heat than batteries are.

http://www.phonearena.com/news/How-i...Plus-3_id82646
http://www.trustedreviews.com/opinio...arge-oneplus-3
The Issues
A dash power bank could be charged up exactly like the phone; with the dash charger it could fill extremely fast. However, using the battery pack to charge the phone means that the internal Li-Ion batteries of that charger will be taking on the extra heat from within the case which could:
a) shorten the power bank's life span
b) Possibly lead to unsafe power banks if it got too hot
I also see there being limitations with the power bank's ability to maintain a full speed charge similar to wall charging along with what types of batteries would be needed to provide the power output similar to the dash charger.
The Solutions
So in my limited knowledge I think that the biggest enemy here is heat generated in the power bank. I feel like the rest could be overcome with a fairly large bank of 18650 batteries. It is possible to have a passive cooling system built into the power bank for heat dissipation but that might make the battery bank difficult for users to hold on their Pokemon Go outings. Also, reducing Dash Charging specifications just a little, decreasing the speed at which it could charge the device, would alleviate some of the concern. So while you might not get 60% in 30 minutes from the wall, perhaps aiming for 45-50% charge in that amount of time would increase the power bank lifespan and total amount of charges.
What do you all think? I'll readily admit I don't understand completely how current battery bank internals work to limit over-current and over-voltage scenarios as I've never taken one apart. If anyone wants to educate me and say whether they think Dash Charging is possible I'd love to hear about it. This is the kind of stuff I imagine the OnePlus engineers are sitting around working on every week.

Bootlop / cannot enter TWRP from Bootloader Menu / Power button stuck
Hi guys,
I currently have some issues with my beloved N5. I try to be as specific as I can (therefore the text will be a bit longer) :D
First things first: My device is experiencing the well known "stuck power button problem".
But I also do have problems which are not related to that one (at least thats what I believe).
Overview:
CM 13.1
ElementalX Kernel
TWRP on 3.0.20
Main issue: I can not start my phone regularly. When not plugged in, it just does not respond at all.
If it is plugged in I can get into the bootloader with only pressing Volume down (because the power button is stuck inside). Weird fact #1: in bootloader the power button should work to confirm a specific task like Start, or boot into recovery but it doesnt. Also: the phone is steady in the bootloader and does not keep rebooting.
Therefore I wanted to perform a backup (nandroid or at least all media) and reflash my ROM to see whether it is more of a software issue. I tried booting into TRWP which is not working (device shuts down after Google logo (might be because of the power button issue?).
I know that I can flash the recovery again through adb or the Nexus ToolKit but obviously I want to save my data first.
As far as I know there is no option as adb pull or through the recovery to save those only being in bootloader mode, am I right?
Question: Can I dirty flash without losing data? If thats not the cure, what else could help?
Other facts to know: while running
I get that the
but then:
(same in Nexus Toolkit).
If I continue with
it says: no devices / emulators found. Altough the nexus toolkit (and fastboot devices) say:
If you made it until here thank you for reading :good: and I would be even more pleased if someone could help. ;)
Best,
McRacoon

Power button responsive in bootloader and recovery
My phone powers on and off fine. However I can't boot into recovery or bootloader by using the volume+power buttons. the phone just starts normally. I can get into recovery using adb command and the volume button can cycle through the selections but the power button is unresponsive so I can't select anything. Not a hardware issue but I don't know why it isn't working. Can anyone help please?

N6 power button stopped working, now I can't turn phone on
My power button stopped working a couple days ago but I was still able to wake device with volume buttons. I was worried that if my phone were to shut off I wouldn't be able to turn it back on so I booted into bootloader and was going to try and flash "oem off-mode-charge 0" (which should then make the phone power on when plugged into charger). At the time I couldn't detect the device using fastboot and as I was searching around on my computer the screen on the phone turned off (was in bootloader at the time). I'm not sure at this point if my phone was on and that both the power and volume buttons were not waking device or if the phone turned itself off. I have tried the hold the volume down and plug the charger in trick to try and get back into bootloader but nothing happens. When I plug phone into my computer it takes about 20 seconds but I get the little windows ding that something has been connected but phone is still not responsive. I'm starting to think I'm a little screwed here but welcome any input.

Power bank issue
Hi,
Recently bought a oneplus power bank, and the charging speed is quite low, it goes down to 450 mA, and highest around 900. Not doing something hardcore while charging, Web and music, so phone is not hot. I get a lot better with the original charger.
Does someone know what the problem may be? Using the cable that came with the power bank.
Thanks. Attachment 3825358

Power Nap Alarm Issue
So I've been using Power Nap Xposed Module for a while and I've noticed that that when Alarm goes off, then screen doesn't turn on (i.e I can hear the Alarm sound) but the screen remains dark. I've to reboot the phone to get it working. Is there an app to be white listed under Power Nap. Also, I've also disabled the Google Play Services wakelock under Privacy. I'm sorry if this post has been created before. I couldn't find it even after searching.

Problem with Marshmallow App Power Saving (Doze) that stopped working
Hello,
I have the app power saving feature enabled and most of my apps I have them with the "Auto save power" option. Everything was working fine. Once in a while I would receive a notification that a new app was saving battery because it had not been used after 3 days. The saving power apps used to show a number of apps on saving mode. However, it suddenly changed to 0 apps saving power and the auto save power doesn't seem to be enabling any new apps even after 3 days.
Anyone else having this issue? or anyone knows what can I do to solve it? I haven't been able to find something useful in my searches.
thank you.

Abnormal Power Issues
I'm having this wierd issues with my N900T and cant seem to figure what the problem could be. I got the device from a previous user and was on a CM ROM at that time, rooted and Custom Recovery installed. Then the powering on, getting into Download/Recovery had no issues. I got on a TW S7 Ported ROM and ran it for weeks but noticed these (issues)
- When the device is on, power button works perfectly fine on a single click. Sleeps and Wakes device good.
- When device is off, pusing the power button doesnt turn the device on. If i plug in a charger and the charging is on, then i pwer on, it works. Same as Recovery and Download mode.
I'm pretty sure my power key is ok cos it works well when the device is on and running. It also was working well when i got it from the previous user running a CM Rom. The issue was after i got on the TW Based Ported ROM!
I have tried ODIN the stock Firmware. Still getting the issue.
Any experience and solution please?

Problem with battery drain and Green Power
Hi there.
My wife has been using her Redmi 1S for quite a while now and she is more than happy with it. Not being the adventurous type (and being as far as a geek as one could possibly imagine) she doesn't care about upgrading from V5 or any other stuff. Problem is battery drain, she's become quite a power user having to do a lot of work related stuff from her phone. This can mean that many days her phone can run out of juice in half a day.
I installed Green Power for her, in my phone (Xperia SP) has always worked great. The problem is that in her phone the app always shuts itself off. I open it, everything seems ok, next time I check, the app is off and I have to re-start it again. This, basically, means the app cannot do its job. I have tried locking it in memory but it doesn't matter, whenever I switch on the screen the app is off. edit: Ok, this is a bit extreme, If I check shortly after opening the app it will be there, but if I forget about it and check a few hours later then it is gone.
Is there anything I can do about it? Many thanks!
