I'm not sure if I'm getting band 12 on my new Nexus 6p - T Mobile. Is there a way to check this? I am running PureNexus. Not sure if there is a better modem I can install.

Can you have Sim Toolkit working on Paranoid Android (Nexus 4 6.0.1)?
I love Paranoid Android but I can't use banking apps for payment etc. without Sim Toolkit working.
Is there a reason it is not included with PA? Can I get it working?
As in title I am currently on Nexus 4 using the 6.0.1 version.

Should I try to save my black screen nexus 4?
Hello people.
I need help to decide if I should try to save my nexus 4 or not. It has been dismantled for the past half a year and i recently got it to show signs of life after battling the steady red ring of death. (Was simple by the way, just used a wireless charger for a couple of minutes) But if I turn it on, it vibrates, the screen lights up and that is just about it. So i have no idea if the phone itself is functional. Some of you might tell me not to bother with such an old phone, hell, they aren't even sold anymore. But this phone has stuck by me through thick and thin, and has a sentimental value. I nearly jumped of joy when it showed signs of life after such a long time. I am not a rich man, so i need to manage my finances. Screen replacement would cost me 25 pounds, back housing would be another 10, but what if the phone is still not functional? Is there any way I can find out if I should take the gamble?
Some info -
I am not entirely sure if there is an OS currently installed on the device, as I was experimenting quite a bit before the battery run its coure.
I am also missing one of the connector things that are circled (there is one and a broken spot where another one should be) but i have no idea what it connects to. The little peg itself is safe and sound in my possession, if it can be welded back. It connects to whatever is under the power button on the back housing.
The screen is cracked in three places, but was working the last time I remember. But there have been many (and I mean many) dis and re assemblies since then.
I probably love this phone more than my friends and family. Just want my favourite piece of tech to be my companion again.

Nexus 5 CPU is extremely hot
Hey all,
As of about a month ago, my beloved Nexus 5 has been getting extremely hot to the touch. As a result of that, the device is uncomfortable to handle and is dying quite quickly. As this was a factory refurbished I got from eBay, I had no warranty on it. I read a thread on here awhile ago that Thermal Paste could help with heat on the CPU, so I decided to try that as I didn't have a warranty to void. That did help with the temperature on the CPU, but because Thermal Paste is a conductor, all the heat dissipated into the screen, essentially making the screen a mini stove. I then heard that Thermal Pads might work better, so I ordered some off of Amazon and applied them to my CPU. This helped with idle temperatures, but as soon as I touched the screen they raised back up again. I've tried everything, CyanogenMod 12.1, CyanogenMod 13, CAF ROMs, and I even flashed it back to stock. Nothing works.
Now for the odd thing: Idle Temperatures are normal, at around 38°C. Load Temperatures are fine, it reaches around 65°C under AnTuTu's Stress Test. However, under normal use such as browsing Chrome or watching YouTube, the Temperature IMMEDIATELY goes from Idle up to about 58 °C, and stays there. The phone loses battery rapidly, and it burns my hand using it. I've checked for CPU hogging apps, there were none. I made sure I was on the correct CPU Governor, and I was. Even on the Conservative Governor the Temperature was still going up to 58° C.
I have no idea what is going on. I might have an idea, but I don't know if it's even how the phone would work. My battery has been acting up lately, even before the phone started heating up. Some of the times when I've taken the phone apart, I noticed that the Battery's Ribbon Cable sparked a bit. With this and the fact the the battery has been acting up, it leads me to believe the the battery might be unstable. Could the battery be delivering too much power/voltage to the CPU, causing it to heat up? Just a wild guess :P
Help would be extremely appreciated

Two damaged Google Nexus 4 to give away (to developers)
I have two used and damaged Google Nexus 4 to give away and I'd like to give them to a developer. In both cases the phone fell down, in one case the display broke (I already threw it away, the back case also), the other display has areas which won't work any more even if it's not broken.
If you are a developer and publish your code under a free software license I'll send you the phones and pay for shipping. Please just send me a private message.

What can't FlashFire flash from Nexus 5X factory images?
I want to have a rooted stock Android Nexus 5X with stock recovery. I also want to keep my boot loader locked. But I've read that automatic OTA updates don't work on a rooted phone. Then I found out about FlashFire.
But I also read that FlashFire doesn't allow flashing of the radio and boot loader. Chainfire himself said "FlashFire can flash both bootloaders and modems on most Nexus devices. However, I would only flash the modem and not the bootloaders, to be on the safe side. Or, use the full size OTAs available from Google rather than the Fastboot package, and circumvent the issue (those flash both bootloader and modem if necessary, with less risk when doing the bootloaders)."
So I've got 2 questions:
1. Is it possible to flash everything, including the radio and boot loader on the 5X?
2. If the boot loader is flashable, what are the potential drawbacks of flashing it with Flashfire instead of fastboot?
Thanks

Nexus 6p nougat bootloader
I have a major problem, I need to know if it will be possible to flash a custom rom on a nexus 6p. It seems that it will be hard because of that new bootloader.
How to I install custom ROMs on the Nexus 5X?
Like I remember reading something about flashing factory images first them installing the ROM, I'm getting confused coming from an LG G3. On G3 it was just root, flash TWRP, then flash ROM of choice. But with Nexus 5X it's a lot more complicated. Can someone give me a detailed way of properly flashing a custom ROM?
"need any help for my NEXUS 5X please" !!!
-my nexus 5X stuck in boot loop
-i tried wipe data and cahe from recovery but still have boot loop :crying:
-i have downloaded all needed files on my pc drivers , factory image ............... etc
-but when i try to flash factory image it asks to unlock boot-loader
-when i try to open bootloader it need to enable oem unlock in developer options in normal system
Now my question is ' How can i unlock boot-loader without enable oem unlock in developer options ???
please help ihave looked for that alot but i didn't find any answer . And thank you.

Nexus 5 Hard Brick situation
My Nexus 5 was drained off battery and was not taking charging suddenly. I entered the hard reset mode( power+volume down button) and accidently did a "restart bootloader". Since then my phone has been hard bricked! I cannot enter into recovery mode as well( power + volume down button). But I am sure that if I can get the bootloader running somehow, my phone will be back. I am sure it does not have any grave hardware issues as such. But the maintenance (service) center says , they will need to replace the motherboard, which is too costly for me.
Can anyone give me any pointers of how can I get my phone working again?

Nexus 4 versions?
What exactly is the difference between the e960 and the d821 versions? Are the ROMS compatible for both? I have a chance to get an e960 for and want to know what the differences are before I buy.

Android OS and Android System eating battery on Nexus 6P
Hi everyone!:)It's my first time posting here. I have a problem where everyday I have been getting both Android OS and Android System at the top of my battery stats.
I am running the Android N Dev 5 and getting less that 3 hours of SOT. The phone is only 4 months old.
I have tried to clear the cache and only did a factory reset only once. The reset helps a little but then creeps back. The cache clearing doesn't make a difference.. Something is eating up the battery and I have yet to try to place it on safe mode and hunt for the apps which I find such a time consuming process.
I attached a screen shot of my battery stats. I unplugged it at 11 and connected to wifi, fell asleep and woke up with 85%. Left for work and that's when I started using Data. I see that there are dots at the awake even when was asleep. It's odd and frustrating as I expected to have good battery life on the 6P but was bellow average on 6.0.1 and with N was better but not great.
Its a new phone of just 4 months and am just so tempted to have it checked out.
Any suggestions on the software side of how to fix this battery drain ?
Thanks :fingers-crossed:

What is so special about pure nexus?
I tried pure nexus resurrection remix aicp and maybe briefly some other rom with the stock kernels and then with elementalx and elite kernel and i found out that all roms i tried except the pure nexus and both kernels (on pure nexus too) make my 6p heat up to insane temperatures almost instantly when running light things such as a web browser (no games or video) and by insane temperatures i mean the upper part of the glass gets nearly too hot to hold and the whole body gets less hot but still very hot. For some reason this does not happen on pure nexus with the stock kernel and it can stay between cool and slightly warm while doing the same things that make other setups nearly melt a hole in the phone. I know all about how the snap 810 runs hotter than other chips but this just cant be normal and on top of that it works flawlessly with the stock purenexus kernel. So, does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? I assume its going to be a rare or maybe even a one off issue, since i don't see much in the way of similar issues from other users but i really have no idea what could cause it. (BTW, each rom was flashed after wiping everything and each kernel with a wipe of both cache options in twrp so i doubt that any issues could be caused by that)

Thinking about switching from Nexus 5, few questions
- Does the 1080p resolution result in visible pixels? How well will the phone do with a VR headset due to the low resoution for a 5.5 inch display?
- Battery life of my N5 never was good, after 3 years of use it's really bad. How much of an improvement can I expect?
- How much more power in real life experience can I expect from the Snapdragon 820 compared to the N5's 800?
- Do you think the switch is generally worth it? I was thinking about waiting for the new Nexus devices, but the pricing of the N6P makes me think I won't get as much bang for the buck as I do when buying the Oneplus 3.
How to flash pure Nexus from on Nexus 6 p stuck on Google image!!
