Add LTE Band 7 to OP3?

Hi guys, so after a bit of research I found that you can add/enable bands on the OP1 as shown here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/onep...lcomm-t2877031
and Here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=455

My question is can I add LTE band 3 to my OP3 A3000?

Mine currently supports:
North America model(A3000)
FDD-LTE: Bands 1/2/4/5/7/12/17/30

The other models support:

Europe / Asia model
FDD-LTE: Bands 1/3/5/7/8/20
TDD-LTE: Bands 38/40

China model
FDD-LTE : Bands 1/3/7
TDD-LTE: Bands 38/39/40/41

If anyone has done this or attempted to do this please let me know

Nexus 6p - is Band 12 working for me? how to check?

I'm not sure if I'm getting band 12 on my new Nexus 6p - T Mobile. Is there a way to check this? I am running PureNexus. Not sure if there is a better modem I can install.

Band unlock or access ?

Morning all,
Im looking at a SD 650 version of the Note3 but living in Australia would like the phone to have access to 700, 900, 1800 and 2100 MHz frequencies.
There is a lot of conflicting information regarding this phone and the versions that support different networks.
Searching here doesnt seem to provide me with an answer...
From what i read the 700MHz is the key (band 28?).
Can anyone confirm if they have a rom working for these frequencies? Happy to get either the Chinese or International version of the phone (the mysterious Taiwan versions that do appear seem to be the SD 616 version).

Thanks XDA hope someone can help with the answer,

Unlocking LTE band 20

Hi,

I've bought the Chinese version which lacks some bands, but it seems that I'm more dependent on the 800 MHz/band 20 than first imagined.

I've seen that there has been some success in unlocking "hidden" bands on the 1/2. Would this be possible for the oneplus 3?

Regards,

Enable 3G AWS band, possible?

Hi guys,

Sorry if this was answered in another place, but I was unsure.

I was looking info about unlocking 3G bands and I ended up with this:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...ds-to-t2886059

OP says that it may work with other phones so why not?

I did most steps, the only "issue" that I had was that I didn't have a diag mode item in Device Manager on Windows., only "LGE Phone Serial bla bla bla"

So, I added a new port in QPST Configuration using the COM3 (the one that was using the Serial LGE item) and I could read info from the phone but this is the weird part: Everything in UMTS system is checked, but if that were the case I wouldn't have the need to enable AWS on 3G.

Anyone did have success enablign 3G bands on VS980? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

lte band 12 unlocking

Hi,
I read any threads and even one called unlock all LTE bands. however i can not get band 12 to work on my zenfone 2 (z00ad)
does this phone have the physical capability to connect to band 12?

if it does, if i were to install a custom rom such as cyanogenmod13, will it automatically search and connect to band 12?

can i also user VOLTE with a custom rom?

is there another better way to get band 12 on this phone? i am trying to get t-mobiles extended range lte, as in my house i got very bad signal! my friend has a band 12 phone and he gets perfect signal in my house!! huge difference!

Thank you in advance
Ben

Any way Nexus 6p to have band 12 the default?

I'm in an area that has band 12 hot, and in most times it's a stronger signal then band 4. I'm using LTE discovery to search the signal. I can reset the radio with discovery and it comes back connected to band 12 but within a min it switches back to band 4. Is there any way to make band 12 the default band or force band 12 only? I'm thinking not but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

Xiaomi Mi Band Review

Xiaomi Mi Band
USD .99

Overall 9/10 :
The Xiaomi Mi Band is a fitness band that is comparable to the Fitbit Flex. The band is made by the popular Chinese company Xiaomi renowned for making affordable good quality tech and the Mi Band is no exception, It is comfortable to wear and I often forget that I am wearing it. The band is available from various sources across the internet but I chose Dx.com as they frequently have them on sale ( at the time of writing this) and they ship internationally free. The band is of exceptional quality the only area where it is lacking is the tracker sometimes pops out of Band when doing something that required me to more my wrists a lot (Sailing). The Band officially supports IOS and Android with the Mi fit app but there is a more locked down 3rd party app available for the windows phone.

The Band is full of features for such a low price point, as well as being your standard pedometer it track your sleep, Vibrate for alarms and can vibrate and light up when you are getting a call. A massive strong point for the band as the battery life, They say that it can go 30 days on a charge but I charged it up for an hour and a half when I brought it (32 days ago) and it’s still going with 40% remaining. Another good point of the band is that it automatically detects when you are sleeping and starts counting unlike the fitbit where the sleep tracking has to be imported manually. A useless of the band is the leds on the top, They are white only as opposed to the rgb on the previous model and don't turn on unless there is a notification and it vibrates, it would become a lot more useful if you could press the top down and get a rough idea of how many steps you have taken towards your goal as opposed to just lighting up whenever it feels like it.

Pros:
Great Battery life
Silent Alarms (Through Vibration)
Accurate sleep and step tracking (Tested with a Microsoft smart band 2, with the two bands off each other by a difference of 12 steps)
You Can get Notifications from most apps
Came with a replacement band

Cons:
Can only get notifications from 5 apps at a time and you have to have your Bluetooth on for this to happen draining phone's battery life
Device sometimes pops out of the band
Only white LEDS

S7 Edge shutting down when on LTE band

My Samsung S7 Edge is shutting down when the network band is set to "Automatic" or "LTE" (4G LTE network). When it shuts down, it doesn't turn back on even if I do a hard reboot. The only way it turns back on is if I plug in the charger and then power it on. Once I switch the network band (*#2263#) back to "GSM" which puts it into Edge mode, the phone works fine. The phone also works fine with no sim card in it as well.

This is a SM-G935FD international version and the only way for me to get warranty is to go in person to Singapore since that is the country manufacturer for this phone (which I think is a bit ridiculous, I'm in the US). This issue has made it clear how convenient Apple return policies/warranty service has been, you can literally walk into any Apple store and have it serviced but you can't do the same for Samsung.

Anyways, does anyone know if this is hardware or software? I have done a full factory reset three times now and still nothing.

Rerii Silicon band

This looks to be similar DZT1968. Got it from Amazon for .99 with prime shipping.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Comes with 2 extra quick release pins which is great as I can use them for the leather straps I wan't to get that did not come with them. Just gotta make a few modification. The material is very soft and comfortable. I can barely tell that the watch is on me. I love the grey color and it makes the watch look more sporty. In some pictures it looks dark grey but the 2 pictures with the watch on me are more representative of the actual color. The strap retainer has a tab inside like the DZT so it can lock in to place and won't move around. Loving it so far.

Wifi band problem

Hi

I have a s6 edge running 6.0.1
The phone can't find any 2,4 ghz network only 5 ghz and they work as normal.

On my nexus i can find a toggle in advanced wifi settings to choose between 2,4 and 5 or automatic.
I can't find this option on the stock s6.
Can it be the 2,4 antenna hardware fail?
I have tried to reset the phone.

Thanks
Robert

Mi band 1s vibrates with no reasons

Hello there. I have a problem with my mi band. A long time ago I set up an alarm, I've used it for a few days, then I deleted it, but the band is still vibrating at that time and I still couldn't have stopped nor understand why it happens. There is no alarm set up and there are no notifications when it vibrates. Did anyone else have my same issue ? Is there anyway to solve it or I can throw the band to garbage bin ?

Asus Laser ZE551KL (Z00T) - add LTE Band 12

In order to make this good phone great it needed two things:
1. VoLTE - that was added by the MM update
2. For US, T-Mobile needs also the LTE band 12. This is VERY close to B17 (both 700MHz bands, blocks "a,b" for 12 and "b" for 17), so enabling it in the radio might work (analog side allowing the extra band).

What I did for now. I downloaded a package from around here that contains the Qualcom diag software QPST and QXDM Pro. Search for them.
1. Enable USB Debugging on the phone. Plug in the phone and the diag drivers will install (I'm on Windows 10 here, I have installed previously the drivers from Asus). Now the diag mode can be enabled in ADB:
ADB shell (should connect to the phone)
setprop sys.usb.config diag,adb
2. After drivers install automatically (Windows 10), the QPST server recognize the phone on COM4
3. Now the QXDM Pro can read the NV values. I am interested in LTE part - add B12. I recalculated the values for existing ones against the published specs and they matched, so the software that calculate the values seemed to work correctly. For LTE bands 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,17,20 the NV 06828 value is 590047. IMO nothing else need to change in the other sections of NV.
4. Calculated the new value with the band 12 added. New value that resulted is 592095. Insert the value in the field, pressed "Write". Then pressed "Read" and the value was there. Cool, now is time to reboot the phone, to activate the new value.
5. Phone rebooted, nothing different. Read again the NV 06828 and... it's back to the original value! Seems that at reboot the firmware rewrites that value. Not cool!!!

Now I am not sure if the drivers prevent the actual write to the chip or if the firmware re-writes at boot time the OE values.
Luk1337 stated that "/system/bin/rmt_storage overwrites the settings".

Maybe someone can patch that?

[Q] D6653 but can't work with LTE band 7,8

As you guys have known, D6653 should work with FD-LTE Bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 28, TD-LTE Band 40.
When I flash the baseband (amss_fsg.sin,amss_fs_1.sin,amss_fs_2.sin) back from the stock rom, this is what the service info menu show.

So I change the NV Item value to enable band 7 and 8 which are my carrier support , I am still unable to receive the signal with my D6653 but able with the other phone.
Any idea?Thx

Finally we can have 4G band 20 ( 800 mhz) !

As you know, xiaomi has released a new version of redmi note 3 pro for taiwan market, and it support the 4g band 20 ( 800mhz ), i got the idea to flash only modem, and test if i can get the band. And it's work !

I'm on MIUI V8 6.6.30 EU ( android 5.1.1 ) and i get the modem file from miui_HMNote3GlobalPro_V7.3.9.0 the special edition ported by AndersonAragao :

http://en.miui.com/thread-300096-1-1.html

But i guess that will work with original special edition modem.

HOW TO INSTALL :

Download ROM

Extract it and get NON-HLOS.bin file from firmware-update folder

Flash it with fastboot ( unlock bootloader requirt ) : fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin, and Voila !

PHOTOS

Before flash modem Phone cant detect 800mhz antenna

After Flash : he can detect it

LTE issue - Band 28 to be specific

Hey guys I Just got my HTC m10h Asian version, I'm having one hell of a time with the LTE on band 28 the only one my carrier uses. Here is my story.
Phone starts up, gets into android, H/H+ pops up, if I'm lucky I will see the LTE in the next couple of minutes (usually is already there on my Nexus 6), a few seconds later the signal cuts off and no data at all. Chrome states that I'm offline. I have tried to browse and even do a speed test while it states i'm on LTE but as soon as the phone "feels" that I'm pulling any data it will shut down mobile data and cuts me off. So I can't really test if LTE is working at all. My signal is pretty good as i get -72db ~ -77db.
This is happening in stock ROM and on Viper10 2.2.0, I have forced the phone to LTE only and it takes a few minutes to get into LTE most likely it will not engage LTE for long periods.

I want to know if there is anyone out there using band 28 and what are your experience with it.

I don't feel like paying just to try out a different radio but if it WILL fix the issue I sure don't mind doing it.

Any ideas, experiences or whatever?

My Moto G3 doesn't connect to 3G or 4G band

Hi, last week I was given a Moto G3 XT 1541 from Spain. The problem is that it doesn't connect to argentinian carrier's 3g or 4g bands, it only works on 2g. A friend told me that I could work it out flashing the firmware of another model like XT1540 which works perfectly on 3g and 4g. Is it a firmware block? Can I solve it flashing another model's firmware? If I flash it, will my phone work or it will be a stone? Thank you ver much.
