Xiaomi MI5 pop-up adds
I hope I can get some help here. Today I started getting add pop-ups on my Xiaomi MI5 that's 3 days old. I installed a lot of applications, but they have all been previously installed on my HTC Desire 500 and my Nexus 7 and I never had any issues. The adds pop up after I unlock the screen, sometimes it's just a Home screen that's not responding (until I hit the Back button), sometimes it's a full add. Adds vary a lot and change from Pokemon training spam to Anti-spyware apps. On some adds it said it's sponsored by "StartApp". On one add there was an information button, so I got some message from "com.aqplay.mediation" about permission settings (nothing really relevant, couldn't uncheck anything anyways).
After scanning the phone with Avast, MBAM and Addons Detector, I got nothing. I also went through a crapload of forums looking for answers, tried to uninstall some apps that I installed today, but nothing helped.
In the end I noticed that the built-in application "File Manager" keeps ending up in my Recent Applications list, even though I never opened it. So I tried to stop and uninstall it, but with no luck. There is a process that looks suspicious so I would like to ask anyone to check if they have the same process on their device.
Under Settings - Installed apps - Running - File Manager there is a Service (second from the top) called "zdrhhriggx". Can anyone verify they have the same Service running?
Since it's a built in app, I can't Disable or Uninstall File Manager to be 100% sure, but so far I have found a workaround.
In the Security application I went to Data Usage settings - Data usage stats - System apps - File Manager and I disabled it's Mobile and Background data access. I am unable to turn off the WLAN setting for it though. But so far, no adds in the last 30mins.
If anyone has a good permanent solution to this problem (I know I can do a factory reset, but let's make that the last option) I'd be forever grateful. :)
Additional info:
Android version: 6.0 MRA58K
MIUI version: MIUI by xiaomi.eu 7.8.13.0 (MAACNDB) | Stable
Kernel version: 3.18.20-perf-g40a7c74

Xiaomi Redmi Note 1W - Stuck on boot screen & more..
I am recently stuck in a pickle. I recently rooted my Xiaomi Redmi Note. Things were fantastic till I noticed I had an update for SuperSU which is a Superuser access management tool. I updated and a message came up asking if I should start normally or if I should start in TWRP. I accidentally hit TWRP and I currently don't have any TWRP to boot in recovery mode. No when I turn on my phone it shows the emblem then the screens backlight is on but it is all black. I have tried booting in recovery mode but it does the same thing. If anyone could help it would really make my day. Thanks. :)

Don't buy MediaTek Version of Xiaomi Redmi Pro
For anybody who (maybe) will buy the Redmi Pro... Xiaomi also sell phones in India, but they can not sell MediaTek devices, so the need a Snapdragon version, like on the Redmi Note 3.
I just post this to warn you, if you never had a Xiaomi device before. Just wait a lil bit and you will get a better version for the same price.

(Xiaomi Mi5) TWRP not loading and stuck in bootloop
Device:
Xiaomi Mi 5 32gb (Not pro)
Rom: Cyanogenmod 13
After flashing CM, my phone was stuck in a bootloop. So I decided to do the standard wipe in TWRP, and then reflash CM. My phone is still stuck in the bootloop, and now TWRP won't load. I tried flashing a newer version of TWRP 3.0.2-1, but booting into recovery still gives me the same "loading page". What should I do?
Also, I made the noob mistake of making no backups.

Help with bricked xiaomi redmi 2 prime
Hey guys,
I have a problem with a bricked xiaomi redmi 2 prime.
After a bootloop i tried to fix the problem with a system reset. But this does not work :(
After i booted into recovery and wiped all data, the phone reboot but than nothing happend. So i tried to flash the rom with the mi flash tool, but there i get the error "remote: failed to write partition".
So i went over to the adb and fastboot programms, with fastboot i erased system, userdata, recovery, boot and then i flashed the images of this elements back on the phone (fastboot flash sayed that flashing went successfully)
Then the phone reboot, nothing happend and i can´t get into recovery mode, also adb doesn´t recognoze the phone anymore :(
Have you any idea what i can do to fix the phone, or can i put it into the trash?
Thanks for your help :)

Request Xiaomi to add camera 2 api and enable RAW support for the camera.
Can more people go and request them to add RAW and manual camera support in the next update, the camera has lost a lot of its potential simply because they don't want to add camera 2 api support. There is absolutely no reason for them to not add such a great functionality.
[App Recommendation Help] Gallery & Music App which are similar to Xiaomi Mi3
I just switched from a Xiaomi Mi3 to Moto G4 Plus and I want apps for gallery and music that are similar (if not the same) to Xiaomi Mi3. I have downloaded a few off the playstore but I am not happy with them. Right now I have QuickPics which is OK but the issue is that it doesn't play and view both images and video within the same folder. And for music I have the paid app of PowerAmp but it isn't reading my SD card and the overall feel of it is not like the Xiaomi inbuilt player I had which was VERY smooth. Are there any alternatives for me?
Thank you in advance.
Thank you in advance.

help with xiaomi redmi 3 pro
Hi all:
I came to this forum in search for help with mi xiaomi redmi 3 pro.
I bought this phone a few weeks ago, and so far i'm really very happy with it, but unfortunately the rom installed has not my language completely, some parts are in PT/BR and aome in english.
So I would like to install the EU rom that has the full portuguese package included.I have already taken the first steps.Asked to xiaomi permission to unlock bootloader, which was already granted, but this step is my firs problem.I follwoed all the instructions connected the phone in FASTBOOT mode to the PC but whenever it reaches the 50% I get a message saying: "couldn't verify device-not connected to MI phone.try again"
Someone told that this is because I don't have the CHINA DEV installed, and this is my 2nd problem.I have downloaded the last china developer to my phone, I go to config-update-choose update package then I select the downloaded version, but then again I get the message error : can't verify update !!!
And this is it, i'm really blocked !! what to do ?? do I have to root my phone using something like KingoRoot and lose my warranty ??
PLease help me.

Xiaomi Mi Band Review
Xiaomi Mi Band
USD .99
Overall 9/10 :
The Xiaomi Mi Band is a fitness band that is comparable to the Fitbit Flex. The band is made by the popular Chinese company Xiaomi renowned for making affordable good quality tech and the Mi Band is no exception, It is comfortable to wear and I often forget that I am wearing it. The band is available from various sources across the internet but I chose Dx.com as they frequently have them on sale ( at the time of writing this) and they ship internationally free. The band is of exceptional quality the only area where it is lacking is the tracker sometimes pops out of Band when doing something that required me to more my wrists a lot (Sailing). The Band officially supports IOS and Android with the Mi fit app but there is a more locked down 3rd party app available for the windows phone.
The Band is full of features for such a low price point, as well as being your standard pedometer it track your sleep, Vibrate for alarms and can vibrate and light up when you are getting a call. A massive strong point for the band as the battery life, They say that it can go 30 days on a charge but I charged it up for an hour and a half when I brought it (32 days ago) and its still going with 40% remaining. Another good point of the band is that it automatically detects when you are sleeping and starts counting unlike the fitbit where the sleep tracking has to be imported manually. A useless of the band is the leds on the top, They are white only as opposed to the rgb on the previous model and don't turn on unless there is a notification and it vibrates, it would become a lot more useful if you could press the top down and get a rough idea of how many steps you have taken towards your goal as opposed to just lighting up whenever it feels like it.
Pros:
Great Battery life
Silent Alarms (Through Vibration)
Accurate sleep and step tracking (Tested with a Microsoft smart band 2, with the two bands off each other by a difference of 12 steps)
You Can get Notifications from most apps
Came with a replacement band
Cons:
Can only get notifications from 5 apps at a time and you have to have your Bluetooth on for this to happen draining phone's battery life
Device sometimes pops out of the band
Only white LEDS

Xiaomi Redmi 3 stopping apps and google play store issue
hey
i got an Xiaomi Redmi 3(Snapdragon 616 Octa Core model) not note or pro version for my misses cuz i didnt wanna be spending over 500 on a iphone.
basicly she is getting no notifications for apps like viber, snapchat etc most of the time. i checked all the settings and they are all ok.
so figured out its more than likely not the apps.
from googling i seen it could be the battery saver that is the problem. i checked the batery saver and its off. so couldnt be the problem
more googling i found the issue could be the rom. i check the uptime of the apps and realised they wear being stopped/shutdown after using them sometimes and this was the cause of the issue.
my question is how do i stop this from happening? i have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro Prime myself and i do not have this problem. i know my phone if far more powerful but i had a lot of phones with lower spec than hers over the years and never seen this problem before. she has my head wrecked. im caught between getting rid of the misses or getting her an iphone to shut her up.:mad::crying::crying:
now on to the other problem she can't use playstore it comes up something like " cant login "
i did a bit of googling and found the best solution is to delete ur google account and add it again. so i went and tried that but i get an error like "stopped by administrator" so i cant delete the account:crying::crying:
sorry i do not have the phone with me and cant remember exactly what came up
i would be grateful for any help
thanks

Redmi Note 4 will be the next flagship Xiaomi samples, metal frame and dual cameras
Dual cameras are becoming the trend design manufacturers smart phones and of course also no exception Xiaomi. More information for advanced phones that redmi upcoming Note 4 will have a metal frame and dual camera.
New images have been revealed also partly confirmed the authenticity of the information on, redmi Note 4 can be arranged 2 cameras with larger sensors in the longitudinal direction and LED flash in the middle, instead of horizontally like most camera phones now double.
Part designed as images, frames will be made of curved metal claws on each side at the back, volume up key phrases placed on the right side.
Of course can not be confirmed by leaked images have exactly the redmi Note 4 or not, but the probability is very high. Because if compared with previous redmi Note 3 both have similarities, only behind fingerprint sensor has been replaced by cameras. If accurate information, redmi Note 4 will have the home button integrated fingerprint sensor?

Porting ROMs to Xiaomi Redmi 3 (Pro)
I want to port a ROM to Xiaomi Redmi 3 (Pro) by following this guide, so I downloaded the latest MIUI version from xiaomi.eu and extracted it to use it as base rom, but there is no system folder. So, I downloaded Cyanogenmod port for this device, and there is a system folder, but it contains build.prop only. What should I do to port a ROM to Xiaomi Redmi 3?
Smart unlock feature for Xiaomi Redmi 3/3 Pro with case
Does anybody know any ROM or way to make the smart unlock available on Redmi 3? I have a flip case and i want my phone to wake when i open the case.
