I have recent rooted my phone. I have gotten root checker advanced. BusyBox checker. SuperSu Pro. All latest version. However my apps that require root do not work. They all have access however when I use something like dSploit nothing works. It is also the same with my root file browser. I will try to edit something or create a new file and it will not do anything

Stuck in bootloop with usb debugging disable, locked bootloader, all stock non rooted

Am I completely out of luck. I try to run flash.bat from a factory image but img flash fails because the device is locked. I can't find any way to unlock it without getting into developer options which of course is impossible in boot loop. I've tried Wug's tools to no avail. Does anyone know of any way to unlock bootloader without getting into settings to enable usb debugging? Any help is greatly appreciated.

[Q] How long before note7 is rooted?

Now that the S7 has root, will similar steps be taken to get root on the newest note expected to drop in 2weeks?and how many of you are thinking about making that switch?

Rooted x force

So i have successfully rooted and flashed xposed to my moto x force. The next logical step for me would be to flash a custom kernel particularly in the hope it could help with the phone overheating issues. I dont know about other users but my x force gets very hot after about 10min gaming and even browsing sometimes. I feel this is probably a kernel issue so id like to try some different kernel. I hope someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks for reading.

what are the must have apps for rooted phones in 2016?

Im going to root my lg g4 today on 6.0 v20d ... My question is .. What are the apps that every root user should have in your opinion and why?

GearVR while rooted?

It seems that ever since I rooted my S7, I haven't been able to download the Gear VR software. I keep getting a "Network error occurred. Try again later." message. I've tried re-enabling all of the processes that I've frozen, but no luck.

I've read online that Gear VR doesn't really like rooted device, but some people have it working with root.

Any suggestions on what to do? I've read that it may work if you install Gear VR software before rooting the device, but that would most likely mean a factory reset to refresh the device and I was hoping to avoid that. Any ideas?

Thanks so much!

[HELP] Rooted Note 3, SD Card problem, bootloop

I rooted my Note 3, and was fiddling with some stuff (xposed, viper, selinux mode changer, if that means anything selinux didn't work, but I got viper working). I turned it off, took out the battery, SD card and simcard to let it cool off a bit. When I put everything back in, I realized I didn't unmount the SD card. Now my phone doesn't recognize any SD cards at all. Checked with 2 others (all sandisk 64 gb) on my mac and my mac could read them all. Phone didn't even start back up. Just got to the Samsung GALAXY Note 3 sign and bootlooped. Couldn't even get into recovery mode. I then took out the battery and sd card, put in only battery. Phone starts up like a charm. Put in the SD card, try to mount it, doesn't recognize. Phone immediately turns off and goes into bootloop again. Oh, btw, 'Mount SD Card' is greyed out this whole time, regardless of whether SD card is in or not.

Today, I flashed NC2 via odin, still the same problem. Updated via ota to OC1, same problem. oc2, same problem. wiped everything, cache, in between each update. Now I am considering using Flashfire to wipe everything it can and then flash a OC1 ROM. Not sure what is going wrong. How can I wipe everything and install from scratch other than what I've already done?

Do you guys have any idea how to solve this? What should I do? I am still a noob in rooting (other than odin, flashfire), recoveries and don't really know how they work (ie, twrp or cwm). Thanks in advance for your help.

Rooted but stuck on boot screen

Hi all!

Fairly new to rooting & flashing on Android - but I've done so successfully in the past on an older device.

Not fully happy with OxygenOS (wanted to flash a Cyanagen ROM) - but I'm having some trouble getting everything to work.

Here are the steps I followed and results:
  • Put OP2 into Developer Mode & enabled USB debugging

  • Connected OP2 to MacBookPro via USB

  • Opened Terminal on Mac & ran "adb reboot bootloader" to reboot the device into fastboot mode

  • One in Fastboot Mode, ran "fastboot devices" via Terminal to ensure it was readying my OP2 (everything is fine here)

  • In Terminal, ran "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" (I had previously downloaded a copy of TWRP into the same folder as ADB & Fastboot & renamed the TWRP image to "recovery.img")

  • In Terminal, next ran "fastboot boot recovery.img"

  • Once it booted into TWRP, I navigated to the SuperSu .ZIP file saved on my OP2 and ran through the install process...and rebooted the device.

  • This is where it hangs on the boot screen - It's a red dot with 2 white dots circling around it.

(I tried to add an image of the screen to this post, but it says I'm too much of a newb to be able to post images :P

It's been on this screen for at least 30 minutes now - and I'm thinking it shouldn't take this long at this point (but I could be wrong).

Can anyone please help me?

Thank you much in advance!

Need help after I rooted my device (knox 0x0 ?!, system isn't responding... )

Hi all
I rooted my device G850F 5.0.2 for the first time with Kingroot (never rooted a device before), success after 3 times trying to root and here is what I faced:

1-Knox still 0x0 after Kingroot asked me to disable it and I choosed Cancel, which is good i'm still on warranty but weird (root success)

2-"System isn't responding" popup with Wait or Stop options every time I restart my phone, I have to remove the battery, wait 10 sec then it works fine.

3-tried many times to change systemui, I changed the systemui.apk permissions to 0644 I want, overwrite it and deleted arm file with root explorer but no success, background black, notification panel disappears, tried to fix with "rom customizer" to install the original systemui.apk but didn't work, I had to flash stock rom using Odin.

I spend too much time researching before I do anything (looks like still noob after all that time -_-')
Please someone explain 1 and help with 2 and 3 problems
thank you

Change kernel Boot splash on rooted Stock Rom?

Did anyone know how to change the kernel bootsplash on MM 6.0.1 stock, because when I unpacked the modified stock kernel that I made with Tobias's Tool, replace the "logo.rle" in the "initrd" file, repacked back into new "Boot.img" and flashed, my phone still revert back to the old bootsplash (Eyesore-white colour Sony). It's still on stock bootsplash, did anyone knows why?

Rooted my S6, Private mode wont work...

So around a week ago i was having trouble getting TWRP to work....so i said screw it and flashed Xposed using Flashfire. It worked and everything went well. But just a few hours ago i noticed that when i tried activating private mode on my phone, it gave me a little message saying "Failed to turn on Private mode. try again." I was reading about this issue on other posts on this forum site saying it has to do something with KNOX being tripped. But my question is how do i get access to private mode again??? Please help :) :) :) :)
