Orzly Tempered Glass Screen Protector [Small review]

The Orzly Tempered Glass Screen Protector. I used 3 of them on my 1+1 and they did their job perfectly, not a scratch on the screen even when I sometimes thought it was done for. So after ordering my 1+3 i first bought the tempered glass screen protector from Oneplus. Huge mistake. Hands down the worst screen protector i used so far. So almost immediately i ordered myself a trusted Orzly screen protector.

Installation:
Installation of the screen protector was quick and easy. I guess the procedure is about the same for every screen protector out there but still.. The only problem is that even i wiped the screen clean with the cloth etc. But still i managed to get a spec of dust on the screen which really annoys me. I guess i'll just buy another one ;)

Conclusion:
Great screen protector, does the job perfectly. I hope i don't need to replace it any time soon.

Pictures:
As you can see on the picture below, the screen protector from Oneplus isn't all that good...

However the Orzly one:

[Review] Teclast X10 Plus

Introduction
Finally, I own a Teclast tablet from GearBest. Yup, it is an Android 5.1 Lollipop tablet powered by Intel Cherry Trail Z8300 (Atom X5) with Intel HD Graphic Gen8 GPU. Equipped with 10.1″ IPS screen with 1280 x 800 resolution. Loaded with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (can be expanded up to 128GB with external SD card). 2MP cameras for both front and rear. And lot of connectivity like Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI 1.4, Wi-Fi, Miracast and USB 2.0 with OTG. How does it perform? Let’s find out…

Well protected

Package Contents

Package Content & Design
Teclast X10 Plus is well protected while in the package. And it comes with built-in screen protector as well. Besides, you can find micro USB cable, DC to USB cable, OTG cable, user manual and warranty guides too. That’s all. No charger can be found. Not a surprise from a China tablet. So just use back your existing one will do. Build quality is top notch thanks to sturdy white plastic bezel and metal silver cover. However, this also make it a little bit heavier at 626.5g. At front, you can find 2MP front camera in top center and LED light indicator on top left. Power and volume buttons are located at the right. Rear camera is just beside them at back. All other inputs/output like USB, headphone jack, HDMI, DC, micro USB, mic, microSD slot and speaker are located at the left. Finally, there is a keyboard docking port for you too. Just refer to below photos for more details.

Keyboard docking points

Software & Hardware
Teclast X10 Plus is loaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop. Well, it is basically stock Android OS with custom navigation bar. And it is running smooth and fast. As usual, some bloatwares were pre-installed on Teclast X10 Plus. Thankfully, none of them are system apps. So you can uninstall them later if you don’t need them at all. As a result, I can say that Teclast X10 Plus is bloatware-free. However, the current firmware is not bugs free. It does not display applications’ battery usage. Therefore, I cannot know which application is eating the most of the battery. In addition, the auto-rotation function has issue – the screen will be upside down on certain apps and games. Well, the accelerometer is working fine. Screen will rotate when you flipped the tablet but system just make it upside down again for no reason. Hopefully, future firmware can fix this issue. Disable auto rotation is the only way to overcome this issue for the moment.

Intel Cherry Trail Z8300 (Atom X5) does make tablet fly. All the applications and games are running smooth. No complaint here. 2GB of RAM is being used effectively too. You still have 1.2GB RAM free once Android OS is loaded. And plenty of disk space for all your games, photos and videos on 32GB internal eMMC storage. My only complaint on the hardware – average display. 1280 x 800 resolution is considered low on 10.1″ screen when you have lot of retina display devices. Not a deal breaker but definitely not providing the best experience when use it up close. Thing is getting better when you pair it with keyboard and mouse for office work as mini PC. Or a joypad for games. And it is great to use it as mini theater with hooked up with external speaker. The display get less pixel look then from far away. In short, a nice office and entertainment machine. Period.

The full size USB port is very useful as well. You don’t need to bring extra OTG cable in order to connect your flash drive. Just plug it into the USB port will do. Same apply to other USB devices like keyboard and mouse. Need to connect 2 USB devices? No worry, just use OTG cable to connect another one will do. Furthermore, HDMI output give you the chance to enjoy all your favourite movies and games on bigger TV screen while sitting on soft sofa. Just like a set-top box with Kodi installed and games console when connected with game controller. Wi-Fi coverage range is good – on par with my other devices. However, Bluetooth coverage is average only. No issue to output to Bluetooth speaker or headphone in the same room though. The built-in speaker quality is good. No distortion even at maximum volume and easily fill the whole room. Headphone jack output is clean too. As usual, check out below Teclast X10 Plus real world software and gaming performance video to know more.

No doubt that Teclast X10 Plus perform well in Android 5.1. All the applications and games are running smoothly, right? And it is really useful and productive when connect with external keyboard and mouse. Lot of fun when plug with joypad for games as you can see from the video. No touch is needed. And great for entertainments like movie and anime when connected to larger Bluetooth speaker.

Benchmark
Okay, here are synthetic benchmarks data for those who like to see. AnTuTu, Basemark OS, Geekbench, Epic Citadel, A1 SD Bench and 3DMark should able to give you in-depth technical data that you need. Yup, Intel HD Graphic Gen8 GPU performs flawlessly on HD screen here.

3DMark Ice Storm

A1 SD Bench

AnTuTu Benchmark

Basemark OS II

Epic Citadel Unreal

Geekbench 3

Battery
I can’t use USB DAC to listen music and charge my other devices at the same time. However, this is not the case on Teclast X10 Plus with extra DC port. I can charge it through DC port and still use micro USB for USB DAC. Can it be charged using micro USB port? YES! No need to bring extra DC cable with you. How is the battery life? I don’t have the extra data from system itself due to the bug I mentioned previous. Roughly, this tablet can last for around 5 to 7 hours on playing casual games, watch movie and surfing Internet. As for charging, it takes around 3 hours and a half to fully charge its 7200mAh battery. That’s using Samsung fast charger with 5.3V output. It can accept up to 2.3A by using that. But accept up to 1.3A only with all my other 2A with 5V chargers. Hmm… Very picky on charger. No idea why.

Camera
Tablet is not meant to take photo especially with large tablet. Therefore, I don’t care much about photo quality on tablet. Most of us use smartphone to take photo and video anyway. So here are the samples for both front and rear camera. Not great as expected from 2MP camera but good enough for casual video conference and social network.

Rear Camera

Front Camera

Advantages
- Unbeatable price
- Powered by Intel Z8300
- 2GB RAM + 32GB ROM
- Miracast, HDMI, USB, DC & USB OTG support
- Keyboard docking
- Excellent build quality

Limitations
- Low pixel density display
- Firmware needs improvements
- Picky on charger

Teclast X10 Plus with joypad

Conclusion
Teclast X10 Plus is a nice Android tablet for both office and entertainment no doubt. Fast and smooth with Intel Z8300 Quad Core Processor. And loaded with lot of connectivity. Easily turn into a mini PC, set-top box and game console. Not without bugs but should be fixed in future firmware update. More information can be found at Teclast Website. And get yours at GearBest like I did.

Vibe K5 Review

Hello Friends , This is my first post here and i hope i can help you guys

Lenovo Vibe K5

Hello friends

Today I am here to sort the Lenovo Vibe K5

This device is a good cost-benefit but not supporting some heavier games, the battery is too bad (can overheat in a few minutes of use), the camera can handle some things, the available memory is reasonable, have enough RAM memory to support various games, have a good chipset can support heavier games, with Android 5.1.1 operating system with no provision for the update to Android Marshmellow, Fast charging in which the original charger with the hard charging time of 1h-2h depending on usage

He has a Octacore processor (Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 + Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53)
and a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset 616 MSM8939v2 (But in CPU Z appears a Qualcomm SnapDragon chipset 615 1,50Ghz) , he had some FPS drops in heavier games like Asphalt 8 and World Of Tanks Blitz in this case it can not be run on Ultra
he had the following FPS in the following games

WoT Blitz 30fps (medium)
Asphalt 8 27fps
MCSM(Minecraft Story Mode) 40fps

Some games require a lot of heavy battery, and this phone disappoints in this topic, it has a lithium battery with the amperage 2750MaH lasting at most one days with moderate use and 5 hours of use more intensive

The Camera also disappoints, it has a 13 megapixel resolution (back) and 5 megapyxels (front), the camera does not fit in places with little or too much light focus is poor

The phone has 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM and users can just enjoy eleven gigas (11GB) of this device

Summary:

Mobile is good for games can reach up to 50FPS in some, has expandable internal storage of 16GB to 128GB but may enjoy only 11GB, Camera is bad not adapting well to the environment or not focusing well on the object

How to fix whatsapp "review photo after taken" in camera mode ? in MM

Hi
I recently updated to Marshmallow xtresolite from Lollipop.
I notice that a feature that i had previous before upgrading was gone.
It is the ability to send a picture via "Camera > Review picture after taking it > Tap on the small right arrow at bottom right to confirm the image to send"

My phone is rooted, so any advice on how to fix it via manually selecting some options or something?
For the default camera app, im able to review the picture after taking it, but not for whatsapp..

I have attached the screenshots that seems to be the cause of the issue..
Looking at it the one that is all greyed out is the settings for the in-app whatsapp camera settings , it doesnt allow me to review the photo after capturing it, thus not able to send it right after.

Then the other is the default native camera app setting.

Can any gurus help please!

Xiaomi Mi Band Review

Xiaomi Mi Band
USD .99

Overall 9/10 :
The Xiaomi Mi Band is a fitness band that is comparable to the Fitbit Flex. The band is made by the popular Chinese company Xiaomi renowned for making affordable good quality tech and the Mi Band is no exception, It is comfortable to wear and I often forget that I am wearing it. The band is available from various sources across the internet but I chose Dx.com as they frequently have them on sale ( at the time of writing this) and they ship internationally free. The band is of exceptional quality the only area where it is lacking is the tracker sometimes pops out of Band when doing something that required me to more my wrists a lot (Sailing). The Band officially supports IOS and Android with the Mi fit app but there is a more locked down 3rd party app available for the windows phone.

The Band is full of features for such a low price point, as well as being your standard pedometer it track your sleep, Vibrate for alarms and can vibrate and light up when you are getting a call. A massive strong point for the band as the battery life, They say that it can go 30 days on a charge but I charged it up for an hour and a half when I brought it (32 days ago) and it’s still going with 40% remaining. Another good point of the band is that it automatically detects when you are sleeping and starts counting unlike the fitbit where the sleep tracking has to be imported manually. A useless of the band is the leds on the top, They are white only as opposed to the rgb on the previous model and don't turn on unless there is a notification and it vibrates, it would become a lot more useful if you could press the top down and get a rough idea of how many steps you have taken towards your goal as opposed to just lighting up whenever it feels like it.

Pros:
Great Battery life
Silent Alarms (Through Vibration)
Accurate sleep and step tracking (Tested with a Microsoft smart band 2, with the two bands off each other by a difference of 12 steps)
You Can get Notifications from most apps
Came with a replacement band

Cons:
Can only get notifications from 5 apps at a time and you have to have your Bluetooth on for this to happen draining phone's battery life
Device sometimes pops out of the band
Only white LEDS

This box has really surprised me on how well it pro forms smooth & fast.
The T95M in this review has 2GB DDR3 Ram + 8GB eMMC Rom
It has 2 full sized usb ports,1 otg port, micro sd card slot,AV,ethernet,HDMI out,SPDIF & the power
port & not forgetting the secret recovery button in the AV hole.

The T95M is a small sized tv box but its not lacking anything,I will mention It has no power button
on the device its self,But it comes with a good IR remote so you can do most things from the
remote. Its also nice to see a clock on the front of the tv box thats something different.
There’s plenty of ventilation holes on the bottom of the box to help with the cooling. This is a
must have on any tv box IMO as many tv box's over heat but not this one.

The box comes pre rooted & is running android Lolliopo 5.1 With some useful apps

Facebook,Drop Box,Kodi,Mobdro,Film on,Skype,Netflix,Showbox to name a few.

M8 style launcher

App Draw (Nova launcher)

Kodi 16.0

Pre-install Kodi media center,Kodi can be used to play almost all of your popular audio and video
formats around. You can stream your multimedia from anywhere in the house or directly from the
internet.Comes pre loaded with tons of addon’s (Some adult content)

1080 video’s have been playing fine up to now also 1080 youtube video’s playing fine

The T95M also comes with a addon updater for kodi (A good idea for noobs) But seems to take for
ever to download,,over an hour to update. And once downloaded a lot of old & none working
addons thats two hours of my life gone so now back to my normal kodi setup.

Internal Photos

As you can see in the photo below there is a heatsink,Its only tiny but doing a great job The T95M

gets warm not hot,But i will fit a bigger one myself when i get around to it.

Games

Games iv tested so far are the normal games i use to test ,Beach buggy blitz & Asphalt 8 both of them played perfect with no lag whats so ever they also load very fast..

All the games iv tested have been with my PS3 controller using the sixaxis app 0.8.3

Device & firmware

Gearbest has just posted the stock Firmware (I have not tested this yet)

http://freaktab.com/forum/advertiser...-2g-2016160516

The firmware on this box is a lot better than i was expacting & everything works as it should so far.

Firmware on my box when arrived is LMY47V.20160622

It will be interesting to see if we will get any OTA firmware updates (We would like to see this
Sunvell)

The boot time on the New T95M is between 30 & 35 seconds to complete

Shut down time is 1 second

Antutu Score of 35364

USB logitec c270 webcam works fine

External Samsung hard drive of 1TB works fine powered by the T95m

32GB SD Card works

It comes pre installed with kodi 16.0

HDMI CEC works great, i love being able to control the box with my normal tv remote this is a great
touch.

Review Poetic Revolution case

Today i received Potic case, revolution series. Case is made of premium polycarbonate and TPU materials. Rugged styling with seamless Poetic Design DNA.
Embedded water-resistent screen protector cover buffers against scratches.
Unique corner protection with raised TPU support to protect from extreme shock and impact.
Intelligently placed Raised TPU buttons for anti-scratch and anti-slip protection. Flaps to cover all open ports to prevent dust and lint. Side texture for enhanced grip.
All of these packed into a thin and ultra protective design engineered for maximum protection for your device.
I review case from supcase same as this one and for me this case look nicer. Case in hand stay very well. Grip is nice. I use it with nillkin tempered glass under the screen p., and dont have any problem with touch screen. After i test 7,8 cases this is one of the best. I recomend this case if you need max protection. Case is not bulky to much.

IP68 | 10 hours SOT! | Blackview BV6000 review | Into a bucket of soapy water | 3GB

The tough phone market is one of the last few untapped mobile markets, with just a few models existing. Blackview decided to tap into it with the BV6000.... A 3GB 32GB big battery, MT6755 Helio P10 mobile.

According to Blackview, the BV6000 is IP68 certified. We did a short test swimming it around in a bucket of soapy water. Not extensive, just a first test to see if it survives.

Full specs of the BV6000
  • SoC: MT6755 MT6755 Helio P10

  • CPU: big.LITTLE 64-bit Cortex-A53 4@1.0GHz+4@2.0GHz

  • GPU: Mali-T860MP2

  • Display: 4.7"@720P IPS OGS Gorilla Glass 3

  • RAM: 3GB

  • ROM storage: 32GB

  • Rear camera: 13MP OmniVision

  • Front camera: 5MP OV5670

  • NFC: Yes

  • TF SD expandable: Yes

  • Dual-SIM : Yes

  • Quick-Charge: Yes (5V2A)

  • Atmosphere pressure sensor: Yes

  • Compass : Yes

  • OTG: Yes

  • IP rating: IP68 Shockproof / Waterproof / Dustproof

  • Battery: 4200mAh (tested and confirmed)

Display

Some may consider the display a downside, but being a tough phone, this is a mobile we'd expect should have extreme battery life, being 720p helps out a lot towards this end. And, on a 4.7" display, 720p.

It looks good from all angles, even extreme diagonals, maintaining color and contrast without issue.

SOT time
Testing with our standard 720p/WiFi/YouTube/140lux, the Blackview BV6000 battery gave us 10+ hours SOT screenon time.

RAM / ROM
Storage on the BV6000 is 32GB. In addition to the big storage, a TF SD card can be added to expand. RAM is a hefty 3GB; more than enough.

OS
The OS is Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and we'll have a Blackview BV6000 root guide coming up, but for now the OS is excellent. Everything is extremely fluid in regards to transitions and animations. Rapid touch typing is no issue, with zero hangups.

Google Play comes out of the box and is working without issue. There were no force closes or issues otherwise with any of the tests we ran.

WiFi
Outstanding, keeping with the best of the best maintaining a fast, stable connection at 144ft/44m.

GPS
Great. Hitting and maintaining mid/high 30's to low 40's on 7 satellites (see video).

Camera sample images
The camera on the BV6000 is OmniVision OV13853. Do not underestimate OmniVision. This is a good sensor, capable of 1/4 speed slow-mo (see video). Based on our preliminary shots delivers sharp images in line with mid-range Samsung / Sony sensors.

Other components
Included with the Blackview BV6000 is compass, gyroscope, FM radio, SOS button, NFC, atmospheric pressure sensor, dedicated camera button.

This is just a preliminary review, but at this point, we can confidently recommend the Blackview BV6000. We have confirmed the battery as 4200mAh and Blackview is a class act in comparison to some of the other China brands.

We'll have a full review upcoming at http://www.gizbeat.com/review, and will update this thread with a root and TWRP tutorial soon.

The T9 Comes in a plain brown box with a HDMI lead,Power adaptor & instruction manual.
Its a nice size TV box Made from metal with 3x USB 2 & 1X USB 3,HDMI,Micro sd card slot,3.5mm Earphones Port,Lan port & a Micro USB Port.I will point out that the T9 has NO ventilation holes so i will need to get my drill out & finish the manufacturing process my self. With all that said im not getting any over heating problems but prevention is better than the cure.

On the front of the box there's a power indicator LED.On the right hand side you will find the power button & 2 USB ports. On the left hand side there's another USB 2 port the USB 3 port & the Micro sd card slot,On the rear there's the Power port,HDMI,3.5mm Earphones Port,Lan port & the micro USB port.

Internal photos

Its good to see the 4GB / 64GB on this TV box that should be plenty for the avrage user.

The nexbox T9 comes with windows 10 activated out of the box,The boot process takes just over 30 seconds to complete.

Once the box was booted up i was took to the windows home screen, there was no setting it up like location time zone ect ect i would guess that this has been done at the factory. The first thing i did was to get all the windows updates out the way,That took just over an hour with a few reboots.

Then i done a double driver back up of all the drivers on the T9
