Default Download Location To SD Card?

Hello, as the title insists, I would like to know if there is a way to have my downloads save directly to my SD card. I have my pictures set there but I want my Chrome downloads to automatically download to my SD.

I know you can format the SD card as internal storage in Marshmallow but that really defeats the purpose that I want it to do.

I need to be able to download straight to the SD WITHOUT ENCRYPTING MY SD CARD. So I can easily put the SD card with downloaded files to my computer.

I'm running Cyanogenmod 13 6.0.1 rooted.

MM Default build.prop

Hi, after using GravitiBox smart radio option I probably messed up my build.prop on Marshmallow and I now my cellular network settings are greyed out and I don't have any cellular connection.
I'd be really grateful if someone could post the default one for Marshmallow, my phone is unusable right now.

Request APP for default location mode

On touchwiz 6.0.1, I observed if disabling location via the quick toogle, and then enabling again, it will always be enabled in high accuracy mode even if previously battery saving.

Is there a xposed module or app to fix this, if not can a dev consider making one?

Notification panel quick setting buttons always revert to default after a while

6.0.1, stock ROM, no mod or root

I have tried this several times. Customize the button orders but later I will find it's back to default again. Initially I thought it's just after restart. It turns out that it will revert after a while (half hour or so), whether I reboot or now.

Any way to make it stick?

Music player that uses the device default theme?

I know music player questions arw a bit saturated, but I am looking for a music player that uses the default Android theme (that is, stock Samsung theme on TW phones, Holo in AOSP 4.x and Material on 5.x+). The reason is, I appreciate harmony in design, and when I am using an Holo-themed ROM I get annoyed by the fact that the Material Design is somewhat "enforced".

As far as I've searched I've got nothing close to my need, so I wondered if XDA folks could help me on this.

Android Marshmallow Default Messaging App Issue

Hey guys,

Don't know what happened but I cant send MMS from default android messenger. The moment I hit the paperclip icon, the app crashes. It's stuck on the send voice option.

Can't set any other launcher as default on EMUI 4.0 ANDROID 6.0.1 kiwi-L24.

Pretty much what happens is, I download it at the play store, and open the launcher. It works fine, but when I push the home button, it goes back to the stock launcher. Every time, I try to set a launcher as the default one, my screen just kind of jumps from the bottom up, and nothing happens. For the Google Now launcher, It gives me the prompt to either cancel, or go into settings. After selecting settings, it does the weird jump again. Kind of getting annoyed, since the stock Emui launcher doesn't have an app drawer. I tired it rooted, and unrooted. I do not have busybox installed, so I'm stumped. Is there hidden settings somewhere to change the default home launcher? I can't find it unlike the previous version. Maybe someone who has had the same problem as me, can shed some light into this problem. Thank you.

Any way Nexus 6p to have band 12 the default?

I'm in an area that has band 12 hot, and in most times it's a stronger signal then band 4. I'm using LTE discovery to search the signal. I can reset the radio with discovery and it comes back connected to band 12 but within a min it switches back to band 4. Is there any way to make band 12 the default band or force band 12 only? I'm thinking not but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

default download manager app is gone?

I was on marshmallow, but I downgraded to lollipop so I could root again. Once I was rooted I noticed that that default download app is gone. If I look through all the apps in the settings I see it, but there is no icon in the app drawer so I cant actually open the app.

Rooted Fire 5th gen tablet, missing default recovery

Hello all,

I recently rooted my Amazon Fire tablet - everything went fairly smoothly and I was able to make the standard changes (remove ads, change launcher, block OTA, etc). I tried to flash TWRP recovery but failed at every turn; fastboot gives me "unknown command" errors, and using Flashfire goes through the entire flashing process, reboots, but still no recovery. The issue I'm facing now is that it looks like the stock amazon recovery is now missing, when I try to boot into recovery using volume down+power it just hangs on the Amazon logo, holding down power to reboot it from there will boot it back into the OS just fine. I'd rather just have the stock amazon OS with it's recovery if it's not possible to have a custom recovery/ROM. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Device working problem after restoring default settings

I ask you for help, because recently I restored default settings, and now my phone doesn't work properly. I downloaded BDITA ROM 4.4.4 and some kernel from this forum like 1 year ago. I tried it again but installing again ROM makes nothing more than making the same problem which I had after restoring settings that means: when my phone starts it's going good until the "welcome" pops out with different languages to choose and when i want to choose for example english it tells me that setup wizard stopped or "Unfortunately, Pico TTS has stopped." and then black screen comes and the only visible thing is the up menu where I can see the 3g connection and battery status, also I can click on data&time and then I can login to google account and see the calendar, but I cannot do anything more. So I ask for solutions, I have time, but I would like to try install stock kernel and stock ROM, but I cannot find these things.

Setting DFX Player Pro as a music default application

I would like to set DFX Player Pro as my music default player on my LG G2 smartphone running os 5.0.2.
Can it be done? How?
I tried using Default App Manager, but this application isn't shown as an option.

How do I force set a default music player on my 5X?

I have DoubleTwist (for syncing to my PC) and BlackPlayer (for actually playing music) installed and would like to set BlackPlayer as my default music player. However, whenever I go to Apps > Configure Apps > Default apps, the only four lines I see are:

• Browser App: Chrome


• Phone App: Phone


• SMS App: Textra

Could be a side effect of the new Marshmallow philosophy of "only ask for something (e.g. permissions) when needed, as there's no option to create a new default.

But I even opened an mp3 file from my downloads folder, got the prompt to select a music player, checked off "BlackPlayer" and "always" instead of "just once", and the Default Apps screen didn't change. Also, when I try to open a file manually, BlackPlayer says "Error loading track!" - though this may be a separate issue.

This is a problem, because I cannot start music playback with the screen locked most of the time (sometimes it works, but usually not) using my aux cord, which has inline volume and playback controls. If I try to use OK Google to play music, it says "you don't have a default app selected for playing music, please choose one on the screen at your convenience". But when I open the screen, there's no list of options, and if I say "play music" again it just brings up a search box showing search results for the Play Music app.

This is really starting to get on my nerves that I can't use the cord I bought with controls without first opening my phone and starting music playback manually. Anyone know how to force Marshmallow to automatically play from a specific app using controls?

I'm so used to having iMessage which doesn't compress your pictures when you send them or receive them, but it looks like the stock message app on this phone or on the android 6 compresses your pictures? Please let me know what to do to allow uncompressed picture to send and receive on the stock message app.

My Verizon app question - where in the app folder is the default location?

On my Verizon Wireless LG G4 VS986 using Android Lollipop 5.1 (build 13b) except the My Verizon app was updated on June 24, 2016 which would just close after loading so I tried to use application manager to uninstall updates for My Verizon which resulted in it deleting the entire My Verizon folder under /system/priv-app even though I managed to extract that folder with the apk using Diskinternals Linux Reader. So I have the following questions:

Is there a way to restore the apk and the folder so it has the original date/time stamp as I basically zipped the file.

Also, does anyone know in the standard home launcher, is My Verizon actually directly listed as a app or is it in the Verizon folder? Thanks!

Changing default settings on android 4.2.2.

1) I has a large party of phones and need to change some launcher setting for them. (number of desktops, icons in bottom bar etc.) All this actions I can performe by hands, but it will take too much time. Do you know any other way to move settings from one phone to the same another? Maybe exist some file, which include all launcher settings
