Notification panel quick setting buttons always revert to default after a while

6.0.1, stock ROM, no mod or root

I have tried this several times. Customize the button orders but later I will find it's back to default again. Initially I thought it's just after restart. It turns out that it will revert after a while (half hour or so), whether I reboot or now.

Any way to make it stick?

Custom quick setting

I want to add a custom tile/setting to Quick Settings bar, I also tried app "Custom quick settings" from app store, but wasn't useful. Looks like Samsung has blocked adding custom quick settings in stock rom.

Does anyone know how to achieve this without rooting or custom ROM?

problems setting up Samsung Pay Beta

Anyone else having these problems? I got the Samsung Pay beta link in my Gear app, it installed the app on the watch (bluetooth classic) and on my Note 4 phone, but when I try to get it to work, I've run into a wall: on the phone side, after I enter my credit card info, after it tries to confirm it, I get a notification saying "Gear not responding. Try again." (And trying again does not work.)

On the watch side, if I long press the back key to initiate Samsung Pay, I dial through the set of instructions and press the "Start using Samsung Pay now" arrow on the last screen, I get a screen saying "Access denied. An unauthorized modification has been detected. Samsung Pay Gear will be initialized."

I've done soft and hard resets, deleted and reinstalled the Gear app on the phone, no change. And I wasted a couple of hours with various branches of Samsung's support folks, mostly explaining to them stuff I knew that they didn't. Any help would be appreciated, especially if you've tried and succeeded in getting Samsung Pay Gear to work with a Note 4 phone. Thanks all.

Setting DFX Player Pro as a music default application

Can it be done? How?
I tried using Default App Manager, but this application isn't shown as an option.

How to mock location without enabling the setting on rooted device

I am looking for a way to be able to mock location without needing to use ACCESS_MOCK_LOCATION. My app works but requires "allow mock location" setting to work. When "allow mock location" setting is disabled, the app just crashes when it's about to spoof location. Just moving it to the system partition doesn't help..

I'd be glad for tips for Lilipop and Marshmallow (as far as I learned, they work differently...)

"Unfortunately Setting Has Stopped" after factory reset

After factory resetting/reinstalling [Resurrection_Remix][Android 6.0.1, r_52][Kenzo], the "Unfortunately Setting Has Stopped" has started appearing whenever I try to access the Privacy setting to change the password/pin/pattern option. I also noticed that the Fingerprint scanner is no longer in the Privacy setting.

Under TWRP I have also tried wiping Dalvik / ART Cache, Data, Internal Storage, and Cache when reinstalling any other Custom ROMs and Gaap. The other custom ROMS I've installed are causing the Setting->Privacy option to crash also. All the searches I've made doesn't seem to fix the issue, particularly the searches in the Redmi section. Any suggestion would be helpful, thanks.

s7 edge too dim at low setting vs note 4

Hello,

I decided to get the s7 edge... I had the htc 10 for less than 14 days and I was not really happy with the camera .

Anyway.. I still have my note 4.. and I don't use auto brightness.. I like to manually select my brightness.. usually lower than most people.

In Display settings I also have adaptive colors..

anway.. at the same level.. the s7 is very dim compared to my note 4.. is there a setting I am missing or something?

Can't change Phone app Sound setting

For some reason I can not access the Sounds and vibration setting within the phone app. Phone>Settings>Sound and vibration and nothing shows up. Anyone else have this issue?

TWRP Reset My Display Setting Everytime

It happened with me twice on Lg F220 & LG G2Ls980, stock lollipop firmware and TWRP Recovery was installed on both devices, i just rebooted the device to recovery mode to see which version is installed and explorer the different setting(i didn't activated anything) and reboot back to the system, now every time the device starts, the brightness level go to 100% and screen off time to 2mins. this happened on both of the devices, can some tell me what caused that problem. :confused:
Now i have bought an LS980 for myself, i have successfully rooted it and now its time to install a recovery, personally i love 4ext recovery but unfortunately it is not available for this device, i have only option to install TWRP, but now am afraid that if i installed it same problem will occur to me :crying:

My ID call setting - not possible to change

I think since Android 6.0.1 update, the settings of my ID caller is grayed out in the settings, referring to the global network setting.
I mean settings if to send my phone number when dialing out.. It is/was under menu:
Settings - Call Settings - Voice Call - [SIM selector] - My number

I am sure in the previous version it was possible to change.
What happened? Is it somewhere else in the settings? Where?

CM 13 Quick Setting Disappeared!

Hello all, I need a hand with this one. I'm running the newest version of CM 13 nightly, yesterdays build. The past 2 builds my quick settings seems to have disappeared. I have the setting the turn it on, it does not matter if it is turned on or not, still nothing. On top of that I am missing any and all tiles from the menu as well. As you can imagine this has put me at a major loss, I love my tiles! No more double pull for setting, heck even my notifications are missing, they don't even show up in the bar. Does anyone have any ideas? When I installed this build I did a complete wipe/reinstall to there are no older versions to get borked on.

Where is the OIS video setting in the camera app?

In earlier builds the OIS setting was present. In the later 321 build it's not there. Does this mean they removed OIS feature or is it present but just hidden?

Lost Volte setting after rooting

I have icon on top of screen showing its enabled but when I go into call/settings the option is not there to disable it, I cannot make any calls or receive due to no volte coverage where I live can anyone help

lock or hide unknown source apps setting

Hallo xda, can i lock or hide unknown source setting without parental control apps on primary user profile? i wanna lock or hide the unknown source apps permission on setting menu, so the device not be able to install some apps outside playstore , or is there an apps to do that except parental control apps? i'm using sony xperia z ultra btw, thanks. :)

Setting wallpaper

Hi,

I came from the One M8 only yesterday. I had to use image2wallpaper to make my wallpaper fit but olt only showed it in a small square rather than using the whole screen.

Tried to apply my wallpaper using the OP3 settings and it only shows part of the image as it's spread across multiple displays even though I'm only using be screen.

What app can I use or how can I have my wallpaper show on the full screen rather than just part or in a square and not using the full screen as I'd like?

[Help] Tasker keeps setting dummu alarms

Recently my Tasker (at least I believe culprit is Tasker) keeps setting dummy alarms, few minutes from current time. Alarms do not sound or show in Clock. They only show on Status Bar or if some app displays next alarm. Dummy alarms dissappear on their own also.

my phone is carrier unlocked but i went in IOTHIDDENMENU >>testmodeMenu>>HW test>>LTE test and i rebooted the phone hoping to get 4G network signal but when the phone booted i had this error INVALID SIM CARD,,I tried to factory restore the phone but nothing happened ,please help guys
