Firmware & Files Source

Hi there,

I would like to flash my G928G ZTO "entirely".... I mean, everything, including firmware, CSC, pit and modem... where would I find the original files? Tried getting the firmware out of sammobile but it is not working for me (although I am premium there is no download link and their support sucks). Are there any other sources for these files?

Thanks in advance!

How open source is the Nexus 9?

I mean is there any progress of getting Nexus 9 to run in mainline kernel? I think the GPU has a open source driver?

UK battery source

Just a recommendation to UK users. Originally had a look at Ebay and Amazon. Majority had NFC stickers attached, which meant they were second hand and buyers complained about short battery life.
One of the users here, recommended Replacebase.co.uk and I can vouch for them. The manufacture date on battery was 2016 and a replacement resolved a suddenly dying battery issue that I had.

I Really Need Help! I cant find the source of my ZE551ML problem.

I was using FlareM stock kernel... With Bear N Russian Os for more than a week without any prob.

It was midnight i left my phone charging. I woke up and used my phone for normal usage.

The next morning double tap to wake my phone. The screen awake but nothing was showing up it was blank
DT2W was working but the whole screen was blank. Black Screen Flash. In curiosity i thought i have to restart. I forced power off my phone.

After a few seconds i start my phone. Phone gives a gentle double vibrate. But its blank nothing at all is showing. The screen is total blank. No boot screen, i cant go Recovery.... Just Blank, Nothing.

When i start it just vibrates.

Computer detects USB when it Vibrates. After awhile its gone.

The vibrate comes up every aproximately 5 minutes. Keeps soft double Vibrate every 5 min, i guess its restarting by itself until i press the power button again for 10s where it switches off.

Please give me a solution. I'm so confused how could this happen overnight

Owh, And i tried Solution where we need to re place the 3 wires above battery. Not working.

No charging indication too since this prob occur.
:(:crying::rolleyes::eek::confused:

It's not my ROM, i found this build on vanir servers.

Vanir Android Open source Marshmallow

About VanirAOSP ROM

Quote:

Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a kang rom. You will find versions of the features you love that we've rewritten and improved on plus a few we wrote ourselves. we've tried to acheive a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.

If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.

Hi,

I was trying to compile Omni 6.0.1 from source for a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime [ gprimeltevl ], and the process was halting when validatekeymaps was about to be built.
I wanted to post this in Miscellaneous Android Development section but I'm still new so i couldn't.

I'm still a bit new to Android development; this is my first foray into ROM building, though I am experienced in C and am familiar with Java, C++ though I'm not that good with Makefiles. I've been stuck at this point for days, any sort of help would be appreciated at all. Thanks.

Build TWRP from source

Hello, I was wondering if anybody would be willing to provide detailed instructions for building TWRP for this device.

I tried to follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1943625
but it's feels complicated and looks more like few pointers... It gives link for TWRP sources and says what to change, nothing on where to find the actual files needed for changing.

I would be really thankful for a more indepth tutorial, thanks.

I was also wondering why the sources from omnirom 5.1 are used instead of omnirom 6.0 sources like here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g...0-0-0-t3309475
?

[p9 lite] kernel source updated to 3.10.102 - use it if you want!

I think I'm really close to building the kernel for the P9 Lite, but now I am stuck at the Hisilicon driver.
[edit] Compilation succesful! People, feel free to use this updated version of the kernel source and do whatever you want with it. It's been carefully upgraded as you can see in commit history.

( initially I forgot to include $ make ARCH=arm64 O=../out merge_hi6250_defconfig , doh, RTFM)

Edited source code at my repository https://github.com/twicejr/HUAWEI-P9-Lite_OpenSource

( Props to paulobrien for the idea and great tutorial on P9 http://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/d...ei-p9-t3373617 )

I've copied the p9 kernel config, because I didn't know how to do it from the p9 lite kernel image.

I've used paulobrien's code to see how I would proceed... all I did was copy the p9 kernel config, and put it on top of the source code from Huawei:
http://download-c.huawei.com/downloa...Code=worldwide

Then I have applied all the linux kernel patches for 3.10 from https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v3.x/
- it included manually patching lots of files because they failed in automatic patching

Maybe someone else with more experience can use my source code, fork it or take it over from me
I'd love to help and learn more too. I am a linux webdeveloper, willing to learn more about c, etc.
The main goal for me would be to provide a better kernel and eventually integrate more features, like undervolting

[Q&A] [ROM][6.0.1][KLTE][NIGHTLY] Official Mokee Open Source Project

[Q&A] for mokee

Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.

Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for Mokee. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.

Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy! :)

Oneplus source build issues

For some reason when using pull_library.sh I am unable to pull all of the files. Things like ATFWD-Daemon are missing from /vendor/bin. I think the issue might be that I don't have my implemented correctly. Can anyone offer any guidance or help? Or maybe a link?
