Hello after long time of research about lags on game with my zenfone 2 ze551ml i tryed an app named cm gameboosterand i can tell with this one i have no any lag on my games since i use this app
I try with modern combat 5, angry bird go ,temple run 2 with max detail performance and all are fine
I am on rr 5.7.1 with octodex5.0 kernel with cpu governor set to interactive

Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) Stuck at Asus logo screen. Cannot enter fastboot menu.

As mentioned in the title of the thread, my Zenfone 2 is stuck at the Asus logo screen. I tried installing an OTA update with the phone being rooted.
To solve this initial problem, i flashed Temp CWM with the help of my computer. I successfully got to the recovery menu and attempted to wipe all of the phone's data. I don't know if it did or not, because it got stuck on this process for 10 minutes, apparently not doing anything. So I did something that may have completely f****d the phone. I restarted it during the 'wipe'.
So here came the second problem: I cannot access the Fastboot screen anymore, therefore I cannot flash anything, and it still won't open. :crying:
Desperately, I even tried using the Asus Flash Tool to flash its original firmware, while at the logo screen. It won't move.
So, in case someone actually knows how to solve this, or there's someone with the same problem of mine alongside which I can mourn my dead phone, I'll leave this thread here. I also have an additional question: is the warranty valid in this situation?

Hi, I have a ZE551ML rooted and after the update my cell remain stuck at the logo 'ASUS'.. i tried to enter in fastboot mode pressing power and vol+ but doesnt work..

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for your broken phone , broken memory card, etc. All my kernels I test first on my own phones , and then upload here


Kernel is signed. For install you should have unlocked bootloader which unlock for example if you get root access or install constantly TWRP or if you to flash 6.0.1 beta over 2.20.40.184 with unlocked bootloader. If you don't want to get root access or install constantly TWRP please search on this forum method of unlock bootloader on Android 6.0.1 beta.

Attention!!! If you have root acess after installing my kernel you lose root access. You may to get it one more time.

Don't be afraid print "Your device has failed verification" ,DON'T TOUCH ANY BUTTONS, please simply wait 2-3 sec- and device will start


Features:
1. Touchboost_freq in Interactive gorernor set to 1333 MHz a place of max freq
2. Added Conservative, Powersave, Interactive Pro, Intel governors and I/O scheduler Deadline
3. Processor mode "1 cpu per module" a place of "2 cpus per module" btw each core change frequency independent, not pair
4. KVM support
5. Video card changes:
a) available additional GPU frequencies 106, 133,160,177 MHz btw underclock but I to set min freq 457 MHz same as stock kernel. You may change GPU freq from my Kernel Adiutor version(it lay on google drive with my kernels) or from say99
b)Added additional thermal states. If on 457 MHz have overheating- freq go to 400 MHz, if overheating on 400- go to 355, if hot on 355-go to 320 MHz and so on. In stock kernel if overheating on 457 MHz- processor goes in 200 MHz and was lags in games
6. ZRAM disabled

How to install

Method 1. From PC
1. You should download files for flashing:

2. Download Kernel image and put it to directory with unpacked ADB & fastboot drivers from previous point of this manual

3.You should reboot your phone in the droidboot mode. (turn off you gadget then press Turn off button and volume + button)
4. Then go to the ADB folder and hold Shift + Right Mouse button and write this command:

5. Reboot to Android.

Method 2( via TWRP, without PC)
1. Download bootM551-XX.XX.img
2. Go to recovery mode
3. Click Install, choose this bootM551-XX.XX.img, choose boot partition and flash
4. Then reboot

Method 3 If You don't want to install constantly TWRP may also to install via Temporary TWRP
1. Put any TWRP to folder with ADB& fastboot drivers on PC
2. Download bootM551-XX.XX.img to phone
3. Reboot your phone to bootloader
4. Connect your phone to PC
5. Then go to the ADB folder and hold Shift + Right Mouse button and write this command:

6. TWRP started

[ZE551ML] [TWRP - 3.0.2.0] [CM13] Cannot access storage from recovery.

I switched to adopted storage.

After starting MM for the first time you will be given an option to reformat the sdcard in which case it will be fused (figuratively speaking) with the internal memory.

Now, the storage will not mount on computer, will not be seen from the recovery!

What I am doing wrong? :confused:

I Really Need Help! I cant find the source of my ZE551ML problem.

I was using FlareM stock kernel... With Bear N Russian Os for more than a week without any prob.

It was midnight i left my phone charging. I woke up and used my phone for normal usage.

The next morning double tap to wake my phone. The screen awake but nothing was showing up it was blank
DT2W was working but the whole screen was blank. Black Screen Flash. In curiosity i thought i have to restart. I forced power off my phone.

After a few seconds i start my phone. Phone gives a gentle double vibrate. But its blank nothing at all is showing. The screen is total blank. No boot screen, i cant go Recovery.... Just Blank, Nothing.

When i start it just vibrates.

Computer detects USB when it Vibrates. After awhile its gone.

The vibrate comes up every aproximately 5 minutes. Keeps soft double Vibrate every 5 min, i guess its restarting by itself until i press the power button again for 10s where it switches off.

Please give me a solution. I'm so confused how could this happen overnight

Owh, And i tried Solution where we need to re place the 3 wires above battery. Not working.

No charging indication too since this prob occur.

MAC address not available - WiFi and Bluetooth not working on Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML

Hi everyone! I'm having some troubles with my phone, as the title says, the wifi and the bluetooth isn't working. I've already flashed and older version of the stock roms and the problem persists. Then I tried CM13 and still it isn't working. When I check the MAC address in advanced options it says it's not available. What could it be? I think it could be some partition of the operative system that its corrupt or something but I have little knowledge of this phone and I can't find the way around, you guys are my only hope!

ZE551ML undervolt?

Hi everyone... I was looking into undervolting this phone (ZE551ML - 1.8 GHz if I'm not mistaken), but hadn't found comprehensive information on the topic.
Now, I'm running a Marshamallow version of Android on this phone (Ressurection Remix 5.6.7 I think).

The reason why I wish to undervolt is to increase overall efficiency of the phone when it comes to power consumption and heat production.
The phone is running fine for the most part, and it doesn't really get too hot, but its always a good idea to undervolt (been doing it on my laptop (CPU and GPU) and managed to save up quite a bit of energy and lower overall temperatures while increasing the longevity of components and maintaining (or in some cases increasing performance).

I know the effects wouldn't be as evident on a phone, but they would still result in a certain amount of benefit.

So, would it be possible to undervolt the Intel Atom CPU in this phone?
If so, could you provide detailed guide for it?

ZE551ML + Ubuntu 14.04.1[fastboot issue]

Hi folks.

I'm trying to root my phone (ZE551ML - 2.83Ghz and 4Gb Ram) with method 3 in this thread (Using Ubuntu 14.04.1 with installed ADB 1.0.32 and android-tools-fastboot) but the script Root.sh gives me this error:

./adb.mac: 1: ./adb.mac: Syntax error: ")" unexpected

And the script is not rooting the phone.

Then i tryed to do things manually and observed that after i hit the 'adb reboot bootloader' (so i can flash the files like the script would do) the phone reboots into fastboot mode but the 'adb devices' or 'fastboot devices' didnt show my phone anymore - or anything.

Tried to do the same with phone in recovery mode and got the same result.

Can anyone help me?
Did I miss anything?
Ps. My Bootloader is locked and i have no intention of unlocking it yet.

What should I do?

need help about flashing asus zenfone 2 ze551ml to factory settings

Hello guys, recently i factory reset and wipe disc from recovery mode, so my operating system is gone. I have twrp v-2.8.5.0 installed. i tried to flash UL-Z00A-WW-2.20.40.183 / UL-Z00A-WW-2.20.40.184/ UL-Z00A-CUCC-2.20.40.185 firmware (which i downloaded from asus official website) using adb sideload but it shows Error:closed . I checked and found that ADB is compatible with the version of twrp. previously i had a slimLP rom installed but i faced many issues with it. So i want to go back to asus firmware. on my phone box it is written that android TW but i can't find any TW firmware on asus website. So, anyone can help how can i get back to asus original firmware?? thanks.
