LTE Speed test - HTC One M9 vs ZTE Axon 7 (At&t)

So, I just did a speed test with my son's HTC One M9 and my Axon 7.

Test were done at the same time, even though the screenshots were 4 minutes apart.

Both phones on my desk, 2 feet apart, ran at the exact same time.

Notice the HTC with 5 bars of signal, my Axon 7 with only 2 bars. It was like that when I did the test too.

Random speed WiFi

Hello everyone !

I am French, I apologize in advance for my English :o

I have a Moto X Play (update, Android 6, stock rom) and I have a "problem" WiFi lately :
The phone works fine, except that I feel that WiFi is crippled, but only through time ! When I make a speed test, I was about 1/3 of the available bandwidth (2-3 Mbps on the 11 available).

The problem is even trickier because the Play Store updates are no longer (continuous progress bar), and all the more strange that I am the only one to have this problem : Motorola Moto G2 x2, LG Fino and computers portable display normal results and no problems.

I tried to change settings of the box, without result (having graduated in Networks, I know about networking, but I may have missed a few things :confused:).

Here are the "tests" that I made, and that did not work :

• factory reset


• Using Wifi N (20 or 40 Mhz)


• Connecting to a WiFi repeater


• Enabling / disabling IPV6


• Using Conectify to create an access point


• Test on another box

I therefore appeal for your help. If you have ideas (without root the phone, I want to keep the Motorola warranty), let me know ! :D

[HELP] slow wifi speed on custom rom

im getting around 8-10mbps speed on OOS roms and wifi speed decreases to 200-300kbps in custom roms. tried RR, tipsy, beanstalk, pure cm everything gives same result. can anyone help me with this?

App Opening Speed

Using L-21 version which has 2 gigs of ram and opening apps speed of 3rd party apps is slower than even snapdragon 410 devices like galaxy j5.What could be wrong guys? Any idea?

Best kernel regarding speed & battery life?

There are a bunch out there with elementalx being the most acyive one discussed in the Forums.

What do you think? Which is the best kernel together with stock rom regarding speed and battery life?
(Speed = snappyness while using the phone, not fps numbers in heavy games.)

WiFi Speed Drops

I've been experiencing random slow WiFi speeds on my OnePlus 2. Initially I thought it was a problem with my router but changing it didn't make a difference nor using a static DHCP lease.
Disconnecting and reconnecting to the router solves the issue temporarily every time. Any fix for this?

Cube i9 Horrible WiFI Speed

Hey Everyone,
I'm getting horrible internet speeds with my Cube i9 (1-2 mbps) while sitting right beside the router. It gets into kilobits if i'm anywhere else in the room. Other WiFi devices are working great. Its using a RTL8723B Wireless n USB 2.0 card and runs Windows 10. I'm really not sure how to fix this problem. I read a lot of reviews before buying this tablet and none mentioned a really slow WiFi being a problem. Have I gotten a defective device? Could anyone help me figure out how to solve this?

Super slow wifi download speed. Help needed.

Ever since ive owned my 5x, downloading via wifi is slow, using Chrome, Talpatalk, Whats App, it downloads at abou 200kb
But if I download from the play store it goes to full speed of 1.3mb
If tried the following,
reset router
flashed latest radio from 19V
changed to 2.4ghz only in wifi settings.
turned bluetooth on.


Is there a setting that I might have missed?

Virgin Mobile Moto G Speed Help

Hello guys, first time poster, I've been reading these forums a lot for a while now and I really like the content, great job. So my girlfriend has a Moto G (3rd Gen) through Virgin Mobile. That phone has been running extremely slow, especially in the new app that came out, some of you might heard of it, Pokemon GO. Reading these forums I was able to root her phone (my 1st ever) with the intention of installing a custom ROM to make it faster.

However, being Virgin Mobile, nothing is easy. I installed that Cyanogenmod 13 rom on it, it worked perfect, I really liked it, however I couldn't get it activated. The Virgin Mobile keypad functions didn't work, I called VM and they told me to dial something like '##72786#' and to tell them the number that appeared on the screen, however no number appeared. Kept trying different things and nothing worked, I tried telling them about the rooting, but they never heard of that before... So getting to my point, is there a Virgin Mobile custom ROM that I can flash on her Moto G to get it to move faster? I have a UHS-3 SD card ordered, hopefully that'll help. Any suggestions on what to do? Does anyone know about the Marshmallow update, will that help, is it out yet?

Iam playing a game call "king of thieves".
You many heard on him, and in the game you can get key (= something in the game), if you watch ads.
I saw that in cydia (iPhone) there is a tweak(forget the exact name) that allow to speed ads, and instead of 30 sec of ad it will be 2. My question is, do you know about something like that in android, many a xposed module or something else. Sorry for my English and thanks.

Slow OTG adapter write speed...

Hi all,
I'm experiencing pretty slow USB OTG Write speeds while copying my nandroid backup. Currently I'm getting between 2.5-4.5MB/sec.

I'm using the much praised Anker USB C-A OTG cable with a little red SanDisk USB 2.0 micro SD adapter and a 64Gb Samsung Pro micro SD card thats rated at 95(read)/90MB(write)/s. Internally it was pretty fast in my MxPE. It definitely didn't hit the advertised speeds but was definitely faster by a factor of at least ten than the highest speeds I'm im getting now with my OTG cable. IIRC I also obtained similar speeds using the same SanDisk USB adapter on one of my desktops.

Anyone have any ideas? Should I just cut the whole sd/usb adapter out of the setup and just use a thumb drive with my OTG cable? Is there possibly something that I am doing very wrong?

So I ask you guys, if you have more experience with oneplus, how's the speed of updates and stability?

I saw that oneplus 2 got the mm update only one month ago?

Charging speed if screen is on

Hi,

since I've bought my Nexus 5X with has a charging issue, so it will charge very slowley, when the screens is on I'm afraid that other phones with the quick charge technology has the same issue.

So can anybody test how fast the G4 Plus is charging when the device is in use, before I buy one?
That would be so helpful :)

This application will allow you to display two widgets on your watch:

• Current Speed
Show your current speed.
If your speed is greater than the current speed limit it will be shown in red.
The progress ring goes from green to red while getting close to the limit.
If the speed limit is unknown it's grey.

• Current Speed Limit
The application is trying to get the speed limit for OpenStreetMap.
If the value is not available the widget will show "__" in red.

You can manually add a speed limit for the current road:
Click on one of the widgets to open the "New Speed Limit" dialogue.
Try to open this when you are close to the road speed limit: your current speed is used to set the speed limit value.
Once the dialogue is open you can adjust the speed by swiping up or down before the end of the countdown.
Swipe right to dismiss.
(in case of error you can start again, it will update value)
The value will be saved and will be used each time you drive on this road again.
You can add the speed limit on the openstreetmap website too.
It's really easy. See Google+ community for information.

Use the phone application to modify the widgets behavior and look.

You can add alerts triggered at speed % of the current speed limit.

Long Click on widget to close.

Tmobile Wifi Tether Speed Throttle fix

Switched from Samsung to HTC. I've used unlimited, unrestricted speed with Samsung, but I've wanted HTC. Everything's great except my main source of Internet was now throttled. Here's the fix I foundfound.

Create new apn with exact same values as the default, but add "dun" at the end

default,supl,fota,hipri,dun

This lifted the speed throttling = :)

anyone tried l speed (root) for oneplus 3..?

please can some tell me advantages and other features of l speed or it will mess up device.
