TWRP Installation Problem

Weird problem in all my years of flashing to various phones....

okay I go into fastboot and I install TWRP. I'm able to boot into it ONCE and ONCE only. Once I reboot into system if I try and go back into the recovery it just loads up the stock recovery. WTF gives...???

I'll upload a video later if necessary to show what's going on....

App installation problem on J7 2016

Hello guys. I've tried to install some free games like Bad Piggies, Hungry Shark World, Sky Force Reloaded, Where is my water 2 etc. They are full free games. I've tried apk and the installer shows "App not installed" , I tried to install from play store it shows some kind of error after download completes.
Is anyone facing this issue? Any fix? I'm thinking maybe rooting and flashing a Custom ROM. Will that fix this?
I use Exynos version J710FN. Thanks

Any update on the 'Network Error" during installation?

Searched around everywhere and the issue seems to be relatively widespread. During the Gear VR installation process, the install button becomes greyed out, stating "Network error occurred. Try again later."

Im using a Galaxy S7 Edge (G935F) stock ROM rooted +xposed.

I've tried editing the CSC file at /system/csc/sales_code.dat but this hasn't done anything!

I'd prefer not to wipe my phone and go through the hassle but if it that works (I've heard it doesn't) then I'll give it a shot.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Need help | Installation

I've checked the forum and none of the solutions fixed the problem. This doesn't work either.

The error I get: Xposed is not yet compatible with android sdk 19 or your processor architecture (x86)

Bricked phone, failed stock rom installation

Hello guys,

I tried to install "CRISSCROSS GOES MARSHMALLOW V7.0" rom in my G925F but I forgot what my model/serial number is. All I know is that my phone is G925F (S6 edge international).
Now my phone keeps on rebooting at the Samsung logo page.
Also, I tried to install a stock rom using odin but that failed too (apparently, you can't go to an older software version)

Please help if you can.

Xposed Framework installation problem

Have root access (finally). When I install the framework I need via recovery I get stuck on the screen with t-mobiles logo.

Phone - SG-M982T
File - xposed-v86-sdk23-arm64
Problem - Stuck on tmobile screen

Can anyone help me?

Need help with Custom Recovery Installation!

Hi, I have been trying to install cyanogen mod for my Samsung Galaxy Mini S3 to bring it up to 6.0.0 (so I can play pokemon Go xD) and I can't seem to get any Custom Recovery to work! Whenever I boot it into recovery after installing with Odin. It just keeps restarting my phone? Any help please? Also if anyone could give me SuperSU rooting guides for my phone, instead of Kingo and King root, thanks!

Phone: Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini (I8200N)

Installation stops at 33% of step 3

I tried to install the Remix_OS_for_PC_64bit_B2016063001 but it stopped in step 3 with 33% of fulfillment.
Has anyone an idea what the problem could be?
A system information could be found in my dropbox but I'm not alloud to post it here yet...:(
Kind regards
Manfred

OTA 4.2 Installation Error on rootet Shield

Hello!

I need some Help with my Shield Tablet. I own the "Nvidia Shield 32GB LTE" Version and did root it 2 or 3 Days ago. Now i got the Message for the new "4.2 Upgrade" but after trying to install said Upgrade, i get the laying Android with an "Error". I tried the Installation 2 Times with the same Result. Do i have to Factory Reset my Shield to be able to install OTA 4.2?

I have no Experience with anything related to Software modification and got my root with a YouTube Tutorial on the Shield. :D I'd like to keep the root, and would reroot if necessary.

Any Help is appreciated!

Informations that may be helpfull:
- I have the Nvidia Family Drivers installed
- I have "minimal ADB and Fastboot "
- I own the "32GB LTE P1761" Model
- I have Android 6.0.1 installed with the Security Patch from 1. March 2016 and Shield 4.1 (24.3.67.35) Software
- I used the "TUTORIAL - Root NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet / K1 - Android 6.0" Tutorial on YouTube

Reboots between the installation of SuperSU, custom kernel, Xposed...

I am actually using this order to reinstall all the system each time a new security revision is out for my Nexus 6P.

Quote:

Flash Factory image
Reboot
Flash TWRP
Flash SuperSU
Reboot
Flash custom kernel (ElementalX)
Reboot
Flash Xposed
Install Busybox

Unfortunately, the "Android is upgrading... Optimizing app x of 193" lasts a loooooong time, and it needs to be made two times: one after I install the factory image (with no data erase), and another time when Xposed is installed.

In order to get a correct setup, I heard that, after SuperSU is installed, it needs to enter the system to do some things. And if I don't recall correctly, the kernel too. Do you think it may be possible to supress some reboot in my list, without affect something, so I can avoid the two long cache creations?

Thank you very much and kind regards.

Using Chromecast for an installation

A question for those of you with Chromecast hacking experience.

I'm thinking to use a Chromecast as a device for a physical installation, where people would connect their phones to it and control something on screen. No internet needed, just a wireless local network for people to connect to a server that handles websockets and also renders a video and does some HTML/CSS/JS stuff.

Would something like this be possible? If so, what would it entail. I'm an experienced developer, but don't have a good sense yet of the tech involved.

Installation 3.2.0 -> 3.2.1 Failed? Need help ASAP

So I am trying to install the latest 3.2.1 Update but everytime I get installation failed? I used to have root and custom emojis on the phone but I wiped the phone with TWRP by booting it, flashed stock rom and the 3.2.0 update. I then realised I had no recovery at all so I flashed the stock recovery with adb but even tho I have stock rom with no root or anything and stock recovery I still get installation failed? Could it be that I have my bootloader unlocked but still stock everything else that makes it so its not working or what? really need help with this as I wanna be able to install with OTA.

TWRP installation after having rooted

Hey guys,

Recently moving back to Android with a Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F) and I have some problems to get everything working. I didn't find (or didn't managed to find) the informations I was looking for on the forum or anywhere else on internet.

Here is what I did since now:

1. Rooted my phone with CF-Auto-Root.
2. Phone rooted correctly, SuperSU installed => no problem
3. Installed TWRP Manager.
4. Launched installation of TWRP from the TWRP Manager and selected the latest version of herolte (3.0.2-2).
5. Installation failed, relaunched it, didn't get any notice of success or failed this time so I presumed it was good.
6. Restarted the phone in normal mode => No problem.
7. Restarted the phone in recovery mode => Access to TWRP asking me if I want to stay in read only or allow read/write.

> Can I boot up at this stage in read/write without causing any issues since I saw in the TWRP root installation process (http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...rolte-t3333770)

"By swiping right, you will trigger dm-verity, and if you don't follow step 11 you will be unable to boot!
If you are going to root your device and follow the rest of these steps, then it is safe to swipe right and enable modifications."

> Since I am already rooted, it shouldn't cause any issues right?

8. I tried to do a backup of my phone but the data folder is showing no data and when performing a backup I am getting a "failed to mount /data error"

> Don't really know how to fix this error.
> I can backup without any issue Boot and System.

Thank you per advance for your answers ;)

CM13+TWRP - Installation error, bootloop, PC doesn't recognize phone via USB

Moto G XT1032

Hello,
I hope that you understand my English. I am kind of a layman concerning Android, but still wanted to install Cyanogenmod 13. I followed these instructions (can't post them apparently since I am new). Official instructions on the CM website. (Bootloader was already unlocked because I already installed Cyanogenmod 12, went back to Stock ROM and now tried to install CM13). Like alwas there were some minor errors during the first steps, but I handled them alright, I think.
The real problem started when I tried to install the zip-file of CM13 ("Installing CyanogenMod from recovery", step 8). I followed the instructions (wipe etc.), but the installation stopped at "Patching system image unconditionally" and it said something like "missing md5-file" although the file I downloaded on the TWRP website was right next to the recovery .img.
After trying and trying I started to go through the options in TWRP recovery (which was a fault, I know) and wiped some things that probably should not have been wiped. Next error message was: "unable to mount /system". New problem.

Then I thought, I might try the recovery that was right next to the downloadlink of the CM13 firmware. Installed it succesfully and tried again some things, now I have a bootloop and can't shut off the phone. When I shut it off, 1 second later the Google-screen with the open lock appears again". The only help was to manually shut it off with recovery.
I can't even start Android anymore, which means I can't activate USB-debugging, the installation files of CM13 are missing and the main problem: my PC only recognizes the phone in fast boot mode - I can't move files to the phone, it just says in the task bar: "Fastboot falcon S".
As soon as I enter recovery mode, the USB-sign on Windows vanishes.
Tried to move the files to the devices by "adb push cm-13.0-20160703-NIGHTLY-falcon.zip /scard", but it says "* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon startet successfully *
adb: error: connect failed: no devices/emulators found"

The device is not recognized by "fastboot devices" in cmd.

I hope that you understood everything. Already tried to get help in German forums, but nobody answered there.
And yeah, I definitely stopped trying to solve it by myself because I might just destroy it more.

Thanks for your help!
