Odin gets stuck at check MD5

Hey guys i just rooted my Galaxy S7(loving the root btw XD) and i am now have trouble installing TWRP through Odin v3.12.
Ive tried using a .tar file and .md5 both times its gets stuck hanging and then Odin stops responding.
Im positive Odin is no issue as i had no trouble installing the custom rom, perhaps the link became corrupted? Any input would be a great help!

Unfortunatley it wont allow me to post the link since i have not posted 10 times...

Bricked Note 3, Odin won't recognize device

So I'm trying to fix a friends bricked note 3, however Odin v3.07 will not recognize the device. I've downloaded samsung kies, however its still not working, not even my PC would recognize the device. The cable and ports are definitely not the issue, since my other phone can be recognized. Any help would be appreciated, thanks :).
(if it helps, usb debugging isn't on)

S6 Bricked (Can't get into recovery, not detected in Odin)

I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 (GM-920F I believe) and after a OTA update to the Marshmallow firmware, it fails to boot up on the Samsung logo (it displays it but doesn't make the sound) and I cannot use the volume keys to access recovery (or download mode). In addition it isn't detected by Odin on vairous PCs (and I've used lots of different micro USB ports). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

unroot galaxy s4 Odin fail

I am trying to return my Galaxy s4 SGH-1337 to the original - to unroot it. I rooted it but then the wifi didn't work. I tried to fix the wifi issue but after many hours of trying, I decided to just reinstall the original firmware. I downloaded the I337UCUAMDL_I337ATTAMDL_ATT.zip, expanded it and ran it with Odin and it failed. Following is the message stream from Odin.

If anyone can help me with this I would really appreciate it. BTW - I can't download anything directly to the phone because wifi is not working.

Odin message stream:

Unable to use phone abroad, Help flashing with ODIN

I`ve already posted in the longstanding q&a thread but I`m still unable to get this to work.
Encryption failed error appeared whilst in Japan, had to use a friend`s computer [so every program comes out in Japanese..] after soft and hard resets, recovery mode wiping didn`t work.
My problems are, in recovery mode it hangs on formatting cache,
Kies wouldn:t recognise or at least connect to it,
and after finding the exact firmware Kies was seeking, via sammobile,
[I9300XXUGNB5_I9300ORAGML2_I9300BVUGNB2_HOME.tar.md 5]
it still won`t work with ODIN 3.9 as it flashes and in two seconds said nand start, FAIL!

I have to translate in my head every program I`m using, but I`m convinced it`s the right firmware and I extracted it properly, albeit via WinRAR. Softbank wifi makes any big downloads tortuously slow also. Any ideas??:confused:

[GUIDE] Fix On Stuck TWRP Reboot Bug w/o Odin

How To Fix Stuck On TWRP Reboot Bug
For TWRP 2.8.4.0 and up only

Code:

/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/

Hi guys this is my first guide here on xda. I've just want to share what I have discovered.

If you ever encountered a TWRP bug like when you reboot, instead of rebooting into the system. You're rebooting in TWRP recovery again and again and again. So i have a simple fix that i've found out..

This will revert your phone's recovery to stock recovery. And make sure that your TWRP version is 2.8.4.0 Above

This is just another way of resolving the bug. Specially if you do not have a PC. And just a copy of file needed for this fix.

So let's get started.

1. First. Download CF-Auto-Root for your specific device.
Download CF-Auto-Root Here

2. Extract it and get the .tar file.

3. Extract the .tar file and take the recovery.img and put it on your External Sdcard or Internal Storage.

4. Now, open TWRP Recovery and select install.

5. On your Corner of the screen. Find and tap Images..

6. Now locate your recovery.img and select it.

7. It will prompt a selection. Select Recovery and Install.

8. After flashing, go back to your home screen of your TWRP Recovery and Select Power then Power off. Do not flash SuperSU if it prompts. Just ignore it.

9. After turning off. Open up your device again and SuperSU Installing screen will pop up. Just wait a few seconds and it will flash stock recovery..

If it turns off after flashing stock recovery, power it on again and it should work.

Let me know if it also works on you.
Good Luck ! :good: :fingers-crossed: ]

Soft brick - cannot flash via recovery or Odin

Basically woke up with my phone as a brick... phone crashed when my alarm was supposed to go off (luckily I was already awake) and now hangs on the boot splash screen.

Device is an i747m, previously running S3Rx 3.0 (Android 4.3) with MK5 bootloader and modem. CWM 6.0.4.7 installed.

I am able to boot into both recovery and download mode.

However, in recovery mode, I get the errors:

Code:

E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_install
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_install

Furthermore, if I try to factory reset, I get the error:

Code:

Formatting /data...
Error mounting /data!

While in recovery, I am not able to flash a new recovery or ROM. There are no errors when flashing, however, after rebooting nothing has changed. I'm assuming that's because the system cannot access the storage.

Through Odin, I can flash TWRP with no errors. However, once I try to boot into recovery, I am still on CWM 6.0.4.7.
Through Odin, I am unable to flash ROMs (trying to flash 4.3 MK5 stock rom). I am using Odin 3.07 on a W7 x64 computer with Samsung drivers installed and an official Samsung USB cable.
I receive the error:

Code:

<ID:0/003> Added!!
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> I747MVLUEMK5_I747MOYCEMK5_I747MVLUEMK5_HOME.tar.md5 is valid.
<OSM> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..
<OSM> Leave CS..

<ID:0/003> sbl2.mbn
<ID:0/003> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/003> FAIL!
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

It appears that there is a problem with the internal memory since I can't read/write, but I am unsure if it is fixable.
I have come across this thread, but I am skeptical if it will work since it is for the Verizon S3.
I also came across this thread in my research, but I can't get cygwin to download >.> It seems promising, but I am unable to try it at the moment.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if any additional information is required.

Complete (Write) operation failed in Odin

I was trying to install xposed and admittedly I had no idea really what I was doing as I only just rooted my phone today as well. Somehow while making a NAND backup I ended up deleting the OS. I downloaded a stock rom for my model (G900-P) and when I put the phone into download mode and try to flash it, I get the complete (write) operation failed error. What should I do to get this fixed? Thank you.

Odin 3 Root "PASS" Stuck on Samsung s5 logo

Heya

I followed a guide to download odin and CF auto Root-k3g-k3gxx-smg900h. I installed odin, booted into download and loaded the cf autoroot.

It takes a while before going to blue "RESET" and then my phone keeps showing the samsung logo.

After 2min Odin shows a green "PASS".

However I'm now stuck with a phone that won't boot and keeps showing the samsung logo.

I have tried the advice given in http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2725939

Any advice would be appreciated.

Stuck in ODIN MODE [Samsung Galaxy A3]

Hello, (sry for my bad english)

Yesterday i tried to flash Cyanogenmod on my Samsung Galaxy S3.
After i root it, i have installed TWRP Recovery with Flashify and i wiped the dalvik cache and all data.
But when i tried to reboot the phone i was in the ODIN Mode. I wait for 2 hours but nothing happened. I tried to reboot my phone but then i was in the ODIN Mode too. I cant do anything so I was searching for a solution but i didnt and some people told me that i have to reboot my phone on by holding the power button, home button and volume down button. Then my phone ask me to install a custom rom. I agree with that and then a "downloading..." screen appears. But 2 hours later it was still "downloading...." and nothing happened. (my internet is not bad so i dont think, it was downloading anything....) Someone told me that i have to take out the battery so i did that but when i put in the battery again, the phone is booting instantely in the ODIN mode. My computer and ADB didnt recognize my phone when i tried to plug it in.
Does any one know a resolution of this problem??
Thanks for reading this!

Note 4 SM-N910F wont turn on after Odin Flash

Hi,

I was trying to flash stock firmware andriod 6.0.1 on my SM-N910F device which was on android 5.1.1. I already done this before and it worked.

Anyway I was flashing it and did everything right but Odin showed write failure. After that the phone turned off and never gone back on again.

1) Cant go to Recovery mode
2) Cant go to Download Mode
3) Cant do adb because the device isn't recognised by the computer.

solutions I tried-
1) Going to download mode by holding buttons (didnt work)
2) Connecting it to PC and using adb.
3) Installing its drivers.

Anything else i can do to bring it back to life ?

Thanks:(

G900F Boots straight into Odin Mode. Soft Brick help needed pls

Hi, I'm stuck. I've soft bricked my G900F. Can someone help me restore it please?

When I turn the phone on, without selecting Download mode, it goes straight to it, and displays the following message
"Firmware upgrage encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again"

When I connect it to my computer with Odin open in administrator mode, it is recognised by Odin.

I have visited samknows and samsung-updates, but I don't know which one I'm supposed to download.
I'm in the UK and ideally want stock unbranded firmware, or something to get it working again.

So far, each firmware I have downloaded and then used Odin to flash the S5 has failed.

Please can someone help? Thanks in advance :)
