Please Help! May have softbricked my Galaxy S6 when trying to unroot!

Ok. So I was attempting to unroot my phone earlier, so I downloaded a stock firmware and used odin to put it on my phone (don't know the technical term). When is was going through all of the things in odin, it said it failed and said 'Complete(Write) operation failed'. I then tried to download a stock firmware from another site, and the same error popped up. I kept retrying and sooner or later I realised that my phone was saying that there was an error updating and I need to use emergency recovery thing in smart switch. I tried this, and neither smart switch, or Kies recognised my device. I then tried to use odin to flash this TWRP thing I have from something I did a while ago. This worked somewhat as I can now access this thing call team win recovery project. I can also enter download mode. Does anyone know how to help me?
Thanks

Return to stock issue - can't unroot

Hello,

My tmobile HTC One M8 was rooted (Supersu), unlocked bootloader, with TWRP. For the purposes of upgrading to Marshmallow, I restored stock recovery, re-locked bootloader, but was not successful in uninstalling SuperSu using Full unroot. The process hangs on 'Uninstalling'. I tried factory resetting from stock recovery, but after restarting the device SuperSU is still installed and rooted. Trying Full unroot again failed. Root checker confirmed that the phone was still rooted.
I tried loading the nandroid backup here , and installing from TWRP, but it fails to load ('Error flashing zip '/sdcard/......zip').

Is there another way to unroot the phone? Thanks much.

unroot galaxy s4 Odin fail

I am trying to return my Galaxy s4 SGH-1337 to the original - to unroot it. I rooted it but then the wifi didn't work. I tried to fix the wifi issue but after many hours of trying, I decided to just reinstall the original firmware. I downloaded the I337UCUAMDL_I337ATTAMDL_ATT.zip, expanded it and ran it with Odin and it failed. Following is the message stream from Odin.

If anyone can help me with this I would really appreciate it. BTW - I can't download anything directly to the phone because wifi is not working.

Odin message stream:

How can I unroot my device safely?

I want to bring my phone back to normal mode. Buy normal mode I mean I want to basically bring my phone back to the beginning/stock. I want to receive OTA's, every latest updates. I don't want root anymore, none of that, I want my phone back to normal/stock.

So how could I do this without messing anything up? - My Nexus 5 device is only rooted, it is not running on any ROM, it has TWRP Recovery, and that's about it.. I'm bored and tired of root and want to go back to normal.

Possible to un-root a phone without a firmware flash?

Is it possible to "un-root" a phone without having to flash firmware? For example I'd like to use Samsung Pay which won't work because of a root check BUT would like to keep the debloated and optimized U ROM along with the non-provisioned WIFI-tethering, VVM, etc. that I originally rooted for. So is this possible? I understand that I will still be on the eng. boot kernel but that's fine.

My phone stopped working after trying to unroot NEED HELP

Well i rooted my device and the bugs were to much to deal with so i decided to unroot by flashing the stockedgeboot and now every time i boot my device it goes straight to recovery mode Can someone please help?

Hi guys,
I have a rooted T810 on 5.0.2 and want to update to MM 6.0.1
This doesn't work via the normal route (update center) on the S2.
Do I first have to unroot the tab s2? And then get the update.
If so, how do I unroot the tab s2?
Thanks in advance.

Noob here! How can i UNroot my phone?

I want to UNroot my phone/restore my phone due to the fact that I believe I may have done something wrong in the process. I am on 5.0.1

When I turn my phone on, I do get the welcome screen saying my phone's unlocked and all but when I try to use xposed installer it says that my device is not properly rooted?
Specifically it says " The latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot?" When I try to do this, it says

"Xposed is not (yet) compatible with Android SDK version 21 or your processor architecture (armeabiv7a)

CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE: could not load library "libdvm.so" needed by" /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/cache/app_process";
cause by library "libdvm.so" not found"

And I believe I had a very hard time (when rooting) copying and pasting the SuperSU to internal storage. Not all the files were actually being transferred over.

I pretty much want to restore my phone so that I can try to root it properly this time.
When the tutorial on how root our phones came out, I feel as though I rushed it from excitement without properly educating myself on what to watch out for.

Maybe I am only HALF rooted? lol sounds so stupid. but my greenify works and superSU grants access to everything. I just don't understand.
My last phone was iphone4 and jailbreaking that was easy. This is something else.

Can anyone help? Thank you for your time!

I cant unroot my Galaxy S7 Verizon (SM-G930V)

I rooted my phone with odin and i decided later that i wanted to unroot it. So i went into SuperSu and went to settings and tried the full unroot thing. My phone restarted and everything and i went to the root checker and it said i was unrooted. Then, i was still getting the Security notification that always pops up saying " Security Notice: Unauthorized actions have been detected ". So i went to that and i decided to try to factory reset my phone from that screen. So I cleared all the data on the phone and everything and it came back completely reset. The only problem was that I am still getting the notification. I have no idea what to do to get rid of it and i want to completely unroot my phone. I have looked all over the internet for the Galaxy S7 Verizon stock firmware. I can't find the firmware anywhere and its really bugging me having that notification there still. If there is no unroot available for the S7 right now, i was wondering if there is someway i can hide that notification for now to give me peace of mind. Thank you so much in advance.

Unroot guidelines needed for E8 m8sx with s-on

I messed up on the rooting, wiped OS & had to downgrade to kitkat. The phone's still S-On. Now I want to unroot the phone to receive OTA update. I am supposed to flash the stock rom and stock recovery, but I couldn't find any from http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-...-twrp-t2903210 this thread. And I have never tinkered with htc devices so I am basically a noob at this point.

So, a step by step suggestion from a good Samaritan will really be helpful. TIA. :)
