Is possible to port worse TW lollipop to S4 Mini ?

Samsung says memory limitations. hmm, why a3 2015 has lollipop ? A3 HAS 1GB RAM. 2 cores not has problems to run lollipop.

Why I'm say worse ? Samsung's all devices, only S4 mini and s3 neo has Snapgragon 400. but s3 neo has 720p display, s4 mini has 540p display.

Yea, great developer edit s3 neo lollipop port rom to had compatible qHD display. but s3 neo has cortex a7, s4 mini has krait 300

But I don't know who is succesfully ported 5.1 to s3 neo. note 3 neo has 720p but has exynos ???

Next device is A3 2015 but it has 64-bit cpu. blablabla...

Possible ?

Can't Downgrade from LOLLIPOP 5.0.2 using flashtool. please help

I had bricked my lg g2 which was running 4.4.2. i successfully got flashtool to reflash 4.2.2 and everything was working great. I was trying to go to 5.0 to play pokemon with root. So i updated the software OTA. When i got to the 5.0.2. the updated errored out when it was rebooting. Now I cant get and google services to work. i want to go back to kit kat now but the flashtool will not let me. every time i start it asks me if i want to cancel or retry. when i hit retry it doesnt work. And when i used to hit cancel it would start working anyway but it no longer works when i hit cancel either.

any help would be appreciated.

Theme your phone into lollipop without flashing custom ROM (Xposed Installer)

Most of us know about cyanogen mod ROMs and to be honest. They beat the band
But the procedure of flashing a custom ROM is sometimes dreadful
So I would like to share about a few Xposed framework modules which can help you transform into 5.0 here and now

Prerequisites----
Xposed installer
Flat style colored bars (pro)
Flat style notification bars (pro)
Monster UI

Download the following and enable them and reboot device
Open flat style colored bars and edit our status bar icons as per to your liking... I would prefer to edit them into the latest marshmallow or lollipop style

Open flat style status bars and tap status bar option
And choose lollipop in the overlay style dropbox

I would recommend you to discover the many uses of Monster UI yourself... Its a fun module and enables a hell lot of customization

installing xposed on lollipop 5.0.2

Hi, i just unlocked my phone (HTC m9) and rooted it with twrp (2.8.6.0) and supersu 2.76, everything is fine.
But when i try to install xposed (any version) i get an error: Error executing updater binary in zip
What i do is load recovery and try to install the zip file for xposed and then i get this error.
i have tried versions like:
xposed-v68-sdk21-arm64.zip
xposed-v72-sdk21-arm64.zip
xposed-v80-sdk21-arm64.zip
xposed-v86-sdk21-arm64.zip
but no luck with any of them.
Now i am clueless to how to proceed.
i have read somewhere that the code between my phone and what the zip requests are different and that i should open the zip file and edit but i really do not know how to do this.
For some reason my phone will not update to marshmallow (6.0) might be cause i live in norway and this has not been reeleased yet for my region.
anyway, someone know how to fix this?

Getting Lollipop on an Fire HD 6 (4th gen)

Hi everyone, I'm trying to get lollipop, or something similar to it working on my new fire tablet.

I've already rooted with kingroot, blocked some amazon stuff, loaded nova launcher onto it.

Now I'm trying to replace fireos altogether.

I've been trying to follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/fire...gapps-t3163950
With 101 - Automatic installation under Windows !!!, since that seems like the easiest approach however:

1. Save the necessary Lollipop bootloaders zip into /sdcard/gscript on Fire HD, this will get you back into Lollipop

What are the "necessary lollipop bootloaders zip"? The guide is competely vague on what this is and I haven't been able to find any clear indications.

Sorry if this seems remedial, I'm new to android hacking.

Most stable Lollipop or MM ROM for 8.4?

I currently have both a Nexus 7 (2013) running official MM and a Nook HD running unofficial CM13. The last stable release for the Nook was CM11 and official CM development has stopped. That hardware is almost past its useful life. The Nexus is fine but I would really like a slightly larger screen and an SD card slot so I am looking at used Tab Pro and Tab S 8.4" models. I'm not a fan of Touchwiz so I want something that I can flash Lollipop or MM onto. I know there's a stable release of 12.1 for the Pro but only nightlies for 13 on either model (and no stable CM at all for the Tab S.) So my question is, are any of the current CM releases (or other ROMs) good enough to be a "daily driver?" My experience on the Nook was that stable releases were indeed pretty stable and nightlies were hit or miss. Can I assume the same for the Galaxy Tabs?

FWIW, I use the tablet mainly for FB, Chrome browsing, reading NYTimes and as a book reader (using the Kindle app or FB Reader.)

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Got an error when trying to downgrade to lollipop?

I used LGUP to try to get back to lollipop. I followed the guide here. Once the processes got to 33% I got this error error:error code = 0x2000,g_hDFcommondll fail. I cant do anything. If I try the process again it fails at the same spot. I don't know what to do. Do I unplug my phone even though it tells me clearly not to? Should I pull the battery? I would search the guide I followed, but xda said the advanced search is down for now and I need a solution as fast as possible. Here is a link to what it looks like:

Galaxy Tab A6 5.1 lollipop failed to write to ext sd card?

So I got my device a few days ago, and I thought the r/w on the ext sd was a kit kat problem.

There is not root for the galaxy tab A6 at the moment, so I can't do anything.

can someone point me to a right direction of enabling the r/w the ext sd card without root on 5.1? Thanks.

Looking for Lollipop for Irulu X7 tablet.....

I want to run a newer firmware on my kids android Irulu X7 tablets with the sole purpose of being able to run the playstation vue app on them. They run kitkat 4.4.4 right now. I have an HTC One M8 that was rooted and running 4.4.2 and then I unrooted and did the RUU update to Marshmallow 6.0 so I am a little familiar with bootloader and rooting, etc., but by no means an expert. I do have some sdk/adb software on my computer that I was using with the HTC. So once again my goal is either get Playstation Vue running as is on their tablets or update firmware to get it running. Playstation says that the Vue app supports 4.4 and up, but tech couldn't solve my problem. I solved it for my phone, but their tablets don't have as much info. The app just says device isn't supported right now. I mention Lollipop because my wife's moto x is running that and the app works on her's.

Let me know any additional info you need and I'll get it.

Robert

PS Big thanks the guys on this forum. Got a lot of info while doing M8 stuff from here.
