LG G3 D855 not reading SIM contacts

Hi!
I've problem with rooted LG G3 D855. ROM's different than Lollipop aren't reading contacts from SIM card. Lollipop was stock ROM v21a. Then I switched to 6.0 v30b with help of .kdz and rooted with method below. I really don't know what step messed.

How to backup contacts with broken screen + disabled USB debugging?

Hello everybody,

my wife has just broken the screen (and appearantly the digitizer) of her S3.

Of course the USB debugging has never been enabled ever since I bought this phone for her.

So my question is this: how can I backup the contacts without a working screen and disabled USB debugging? Is there a way? Can I enable USB debugging via ADB? The ROM in question is fully stock.

Can't import contacts to phone memory on Motorola X Pure

Hello,

Purchased a Moto X Pure recently and was able to get the bootloader unlocked and TWRP installed. I found a custom ROM
on here that is identical to what was on the phone minus bloat. I am trying to restore my contacts from my storage card
but it won't give me the option to import to phone memory, just an email account. I have been able to import
to phone memory from my other android phones which is why I like this over Apple. Not sure if this is enough info
so let me know if not. Just looking to not have to put contacts onto a gmail account, I prefer not to sync. Thanks.

(Q) Google dialer and contacts app for lollipop?

I'm looking for a way to replace my stock dialer on 13b with Google own dialer and contacts app I've tried apkmirror for downloading them but they fail to install yes I made sure to try the one specifically for lollipop is their any way to do this?

LeTV X800+ Contacts synchronization problem

Hello,
recently I have the following contact synchronization problem.
LeTV X800+, EUU 5.5.013S, China factory ROM, non-rooted phone.
Problem description: In the "Contacts" application, a big part of my contacts have been deleted (invisible) by the phone itself. After manual export of Google Contacts via VCF type of file and importing manually this VCF file via the phone's Contacts application, all contacts have been "visible" again. Within 24 hours again big part of my contacts have become "invisible" again. Again manual loading of the contacts from the VCF file into Contacts app. Again contacts deletion within 24 hours. VERY, VERY ANNOYING !!!

Any solution?

Cm13 contacts can't use google account

So all my contacts are on my google account.
I've just uograded to cm13. All my contacts are missing and when I go to contact settings > accounts
Google does not show up

Contacts sync not available

There were some issues with LG G3 syncing contacts, I tries several things so I finally decided to try different ROMs, I installed Bliss ROM 6.4 with nano Gapps, but after login and everything, no contracts and no way of synching them. Under accounts I see my account, it has everything syncing, but no contacts. If I go in contacts, it gives me option to add account, but I can't add my Google account because it says it's duplicate. If I want to add new contract, I can only save locally, no option to add to me Google account.
I already tried clearing cache many times, I even formatted my phone at least 20 times and tried 3 different ROMs with all kinds of Gapps from nano to stock, but I can't get to syncing contracts. I have spent at least 12 hours trying to fix it, but can't. Any help is appreciated.

Can't add contacts found in Exchange Directory

I'm searching my contacts for a specific contact. I find that he's not in my phone, rather I found him in my company's Exchange directory.

I'm clicking everywhere, but I can't anywhere in the Xperia Contacts UI the button of function to add that specific contact to my local directory.

Any idea how to do this? Every other Android phone I've ever owned has this option.

How to restore deleted SIM contacts ?

Dear Experts,

somebody I know has managed to delete all the contacts, stored in the SIM card of a Nokia 7230.
There are also a Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone and a Windows laptop at disposition.
Can please somebody advise about some program / app which is able to restore the contacts ?

Lag in Dialer, Messaging, and Contacts Apps

Hi folks,

Apologies if someone has answered this before, but I can't seem to find any info about it relating to our S6. The problem is that my Dialer, Messaging, and Contacts apps each lags about 4-5 when starting up, whether the phone has been on for a while or after reboot. I'm on stock rooted 5.0.2. I've frozen or uninstalled lots of stock apps, and turned off receivers for a bunch more in autorun manager. Would someone mind posting a list of apps necessary for the dialer et al to work properly, so that I can try restoring them before reinstalling my rom?

"Notes" field on Contacts app is not displaying full notes; any solution?

My HUAWEI NXT-AL10 synchronizes with my Outlook contacts (HiSuite or CSV file through Gmail). On the HUAWEI NXT-AL10, the notes field in Contacts seems to have a size limitation, and will only show ~1,000 characters, truncating any information beyond that and preventing me from editing or adding information via the handset. This is annoying as many of my contact records contain far more than 1,000 characters of information in the notes field.
Does anyone know if there is a way of removing the size limitation even via root?
I have try lot of 3rd party application but the problem persist.

Contacts sync with car - first name only

All,

I'm syncing my contacts from exchange on my OP3. When I connect my phone via BT with my car, the contacts are being synced, but both firstname and lastname are found under firstname in the car.
This isn't a big issue, but I can't sort my contacts in the car on Last Name (as this field is empty everywhere). I'm not sure if this is Oxygen OS or OP3 specific, but I didn't have the problem with the previous phone (Nexus 5).

Any ideas how I can sort this out ?

Contacts app won't open on Amazon Fire HDX 7

Fire HDX 7 is rooted following Davey126 thread for Kingroot. All went well. Very pleased. However unrelated issue. Contacts app fails to open. Attempt last less than a second. Sometimes get a quick look at the contacts list but app won't stay open. This happened on a uprooted Fire phone weeks before so a factory restore worked but don't want to reset this HDX 7 with root. Both times seemed to be when opening contacts app immediately after editing contacts on people app on pc Windows 10. Not sure that's related but seems like it.

S7 Stock Contacts Notes text limit

Samsung Galaxy S7 Contacts
Any notes > 1000 characters are truncated, this syncs back to google contacts and results in permanent loss of all data > 1000 characters.
It is extremely frustrating to permanently lose data from contacts without warning.

I have tried different contact/Dialer Apps.
Currently using:
Ready Contacts + Dialer
Ready Communication
I thought this had fixed the issue as all notes were visible. However on EDIT the problem returned.

This weird program jumps in when the edit button is pushed and seems to take care of the problem.
Kind of scary.

I have a lava iris x8 L smartphone v5.1 lollipop (updated)
Dialer , messages , contacts , WhatsApp and a few apps are crashing WITHOUT ANY ERROR . I cant make or receive any calls :( I tried wiping cache partition but nothing changed :/ I tried many antivirus / antimalware too but got no help :( please help i dont want to RESET it !

[Q]Unable to add and save contacts to SIM card(v30b + root)

I have rooted my LG G3 32GB D855 v30b software version with this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g...5-30b-t3286268 and flashed xceed kernel for G3.
Now i don't have option to save contacts on SIM, and i can't read them from SIM card.
Also, network works fine. Calls/sms/data all work.

What to do? I tried with stock kernel, it's same. I did factory reset and nothing.

Hi, i bought a P9 from mainland china. Now want to sync contacts from my google account but it's not syncing. Can anyone suggest what to do?

S7 Stock Contacts Notes text limit

HELP just jumped back to Samsung after a decade away.
The Contacts NOTES 1000 character limit is killing me.
I have 5000+ and 20 years of contact info stored away and the App is deleting all character above 1000 when a contact is edited.
This then syncs to my google and outlook databases causing havoc and destruction.
I absolutely must edit from the phone in real time to keep the data fresh.
Any suggestions or ideas?? Any replacement app or workaround suggested??
I have had HTC-8, Asus, Motorola V3 in the intervening years in all cases the stock contacts list did not have this limit.

I expect I would need up to 4000 or 5000 Chr to keep the current data I have though in 90% of cases it is just 10-20 words only in that field.
