Amazon Fire Phone Weird Problem

Ill start from the begging. I rooted my amazon fire phone 2 weeks ago and installed xposed installer for an sdk 19 since the fire phone runs on update 4.6.1. All i installed from xposed was mock mock locations, pokemon go controller and an ad blocker. I rooted it with kingroot. Everything was running smoothly until today July 30th while i was messing around in snapchat my phone reset and started looping on the logo. I hardreset my phone and tried to factory reset it and i managed to factory reset it, but the phone kept looping on the logo. fearing id have low battery to try sideloading I decided to plug my phone to my wall charger and it worked and the phone booted up as normal, but whenever i take the charger off it goes back to looping on the logo and i have to newly factory reset it and plug it in to the wall charger for it to work again. I just now uninstalled kingroot and changed it with super sume and unrooted my fire phone , but it was to no avail, I dont want to admit im stuck, but Im running out of ideas, at most that think 9i can do is side load a stock adb for fire phone , but i have no idea where to properly do this, id appreciate some help

help unbricking my amazon fire 7?

i have a amazon fire 7 running amazon os 5.1.2(rooted) and tried to install xposed framework on it. when it rebooted to, what i assume complete the framework download. it just stays on the fire logo screen. would love any help as i dont want to go tinkering any more on it in case of data loss. thanks

Do not BUY the Amazon Lockscreen Ads Moto G4!

Hi,

DO NOT BUY THE AMAZON ad version of the Moto G4, instead there is a better way even though it is 149.99 for amazon prime users Best Buy will let you price match it for the Moto G4 (Regular edition) for 149.99 even that it is a deal for prime only. It's way better than paying for the amazon ad version!

Cannot find Amazon Fire TV Remote App in Google Play store

I live in Canada and have the google play store installed. When I search for the "Amazon Fire TV Remote App", it isn't found in the store. When I search the store from a desktop computer, it's definitely in the store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ent.aosp&hl=en) and while logged into my google account, it says there are no eligible devices on which to install this app. I also tried searching the amazon app store - no luck there either.

Is this because I'm in Canada or is the app not installable on a non-rooted Amazon Fire (how ironic would that be)?

Amazon Fire Stuck In Boot Loop

Hello, I tried to install the Xposed Framework running the SlimRom using FlashFire and now it's stuck in a boot loop. I can still get to recovery and fastboot. Is there anything that can be done?

Any help would be appreciated.

Battery Drain On Amazon HD 8

Recently purchased the Amazon HD 8 and thanks to everyone that contributes to this board (whom I would sincerely like to thank for all their hard work) was able to root and install Google Playstore. I subsequently installed ROMtoolbox Pro. I froze most of the Amazon apps that were running based on the list from a previous post that outlined what they found was safe to hide, or in my case, freeze.

While everything seems to work well (occasional freezes and unresponsiveness that I can live with as I assume its looking for an app or something that has been disabled) but what I can't live with is the battery drain. Its ridiculous. I saw in a previous thread that someone seemed to think Kingroot was the source of the battery drain. I actually have uninstalled Kingroot but I assume that the changes that it made are still running somewhere to maintain the root status.

Has anyone else experienced severe battery drain?

Amazon Fire 5th Gen compatible USB GPS?

So I found https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B015R5ZI..._dwaJxb7VA283Dthis on Amazon a little while ago, but I wondered if it would work on the Fire? I have installed SlimLP instead of the FireOS. I'm wondering because I have a wireless USB mouse, and even when using a micro USB to USB adapter, just didn't work at all.

How to Remove Amazon Ads on lock screen and Keep ota updates working.

BOOTLOADER UNLOCK IS REQUIRED FOR THIS TO WORK

STEPS
1. unlock bootloader
2. flash stock ATHENE_MPJ24.139-48_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip Firmware in RSD Lite or use my RSD lite for mac or linux use the servicefile.xml in the firmware to keep your data and apps.
2. download and run the batch file in XT1625-Remove-Amazon-Ads-only-keep-apps.zip tool. Just click on the remove-amazon-ads.bat and follow the directions.
3. once device reboots your good to take ota updates or adb sideload the latest ota update

NOTE
ads will not be restored on the device after a ota update until Amazon decides to push something to the device that affects the one app i deleted from the oem.img that displays the ads.

enjoy :)
Rootjunky out.

Donate if you like my work thanks

Amazon Moto G4 bootloaders can't be unlocked?

I've followed a couple tutorials of that explain how to unlock Motorola's Moto G4 bootloader. This seems to be the "official" one from Motorola:

https://motorola-global-portal.custh...-your-device-b

I copied part of it up to where I get stuck. Here it is:

Put your device in fastboot mode (power off, then press the power and volume down buttons simultaneously).
On your desktop, open a command prompt or terminal, and go to the directory where you installed the Android SDK tools (or make sure fastboot is in your $PATH)
At the prompt, type $ fastboot oem get_unlock_data
The returned string will be used to retrieve your unlock key.

Example: On a Windows Desktop, the returned string format would be $ fastboot oem get_unlock_data
(bootloader) 0A40040192024205#4C4D3556313230
(bootloader) 30373731363031303332323239#BD00
(bootloader) 8A672BA4746C2CE02328A2AC0C39F95
(bootloader) 1A3E5#1F53280002000000000000000
(bootloader) 0000000

****************************************

OK, so I just bought a Moto G4 for 5 on Amazon's prime day. This means that it has ads on the lock screen. I'm OK with that. But I think they also made the locked bootloader unlocakble as 3 times I've gotten this from a Windows machine in ADB mode:

(bootloader) Unlock data:
(bootloader) 3A45210407248602#
(bootloader) 5A59323233433246534C004D6F746F2047200000#
(bootloader) 1095EFAB6000EDC14660539C503A04F7900B9A01#
(bootloader) 9F93C800000000000000000000000000

There should be numbers in that first Bootloader line and then Motorola says:

You're device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking.

Has anybody else had this happen? This is my second time doing this to a Motorola phone and the Moto g2 was a snap! I was hoping to install a custom recovery like TWRP so I could get a nandroid backup while everything is new :(

Removing Amazon Ads

Question. I was successfully able to remove the amazon ads and bloatware following the guide here on xda on my moto g4. Along with the moto g4 is a phone called the blu r1 hd that also has the amazon ads and was released at the same time as the moto g4.

I tried this, which removes ads from the kindle lockscreen http://forum.xda-developers.com/amaz...-root-t3218946 but even though it did say it successfully hid com.amazon.kindle.kso, it didn't have any effect, the ads are still there.

Can it be done using the same method as the moto g4? I didn't want to try as I figured it was specific to the moto g4 and I wouldn't want to brick my phone trying to flash incompatible software.

Does anyone know of a way to remove the ads (and amazon bloatware if possible, but at least the ads would be nice) from the blu r1 hd lockscreen?

Forgive me for posting this in the moto g4 section. I searched on xda and couldn't find a specific device forum for the blu r1 hd, I figured this would be the next best place to ask.

Thanks!

Contacts app won't open on Amazon Fire HDX 7

Fire HDX 7 is rooted following Davey126 thread for Kingroot. All went well. Very pleased. However unrelated issue. Contacts app fails to open. Attempt last less than a second. Sometimes get a quick look at the contacts list but app won't stay open. This happened on a uprooted Fire phone weeks before so a factory restore worked but don't want to reset this HDX 7 with root. Both times seemed to be when opening contacts app immediately after editing contacts on people app on pc Windows 10. Not sure that's related but seems like it.
