What is the most stable rom for kenzo?

Hi, I'm new with the redmi note 3 pro (kenzo) and I don't know what rom to flash on it.
What's the rom that has the best balance between battery and stability? Should I stick with the official stable rom or should I use xiaomi.eu or maybe CM13/RR, and should I install any particular kernel or use the included ones? Thanks a lot for the support! :D

Most stable Lollipop or MM ROM for 8.4?

I currently have both a Nexus 7 (2013) running official MM and a Nook HD running unofficial CM13. The last stable release for the Nook was CM11 and official CM development has stopped. That hardware is almost past its useful life. The Nexus is fine but I would really like a slightly larger screen and an SD card slot so I am looking at used Tab Pro and Tab S 8.4" models. I'm not a fan of Touchwiz so I want something that I can flash Lollipop or MM onto. I know there's a stable release of 12.1 for the Pro but only nightlies for 13 on either model (and no stable CM at all for the Tab S.) So my question is, are any of the current CM releases (or other ROMs) good enough to be a "daily driver?" My experience on the Nook was that stable releases were indeed pretty stable and nightlies were hit or miss. Can I assume the same for the Galaxy Tabs?

FWIW, I use the tablet mainly for FB, Chrome browsing, reading NYTimes and as a book reader (using the Kindle app or FB Reader.)

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Downgrading to a stable version

Hello!

I have been using Cyanogenmod 12.1 and 13 as my daily drivers. While I deeply appreciate the work that has been put into it, it never reached the "stable and fast enough" state for me, and the instability and bugs (GPS fix, crashes) have not become better over time in my opinion.

So I would like to downgrade to a stable version that compromises well between reliability and still is recent enough, app permission management is important to me.
I have read threads like these, and KitKat 4.4.4 looks viable:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...lease-t3419543
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...t-rom-t3403207

The recommendation seems to be Slimsaber 4.4.4 by Fusionjack with DorimanX kernel. What do you guys think, is that a good choice for me? Maybe another Lollipop or Marshmallow version instead?

A few questions on how I should go about it:
  • Is my 1 GB repit fine or should I lower it again to 512 MB?

  • I have IsoRec-TWRP-2.8.7.0-20160113 installed, can I use that or should I flash another version first?

  • Anything else that I am missing for downgrading that is not mentioned in the installation instructions?

Thanks a lot in advance!

[Q&A] Most stable ROM?

Greetings,

My Galaxy S2 Plus is just getting too old, I think, some of applications are not compatible with my stock 4.2.2 and its really slow. I'm just wondering, which ROM should I choose? I have a friend who is an expert in this topic but he said that he don't have time to check which one is the best ROM for this phone (he will install it).

So, if I'm just a regular user, who needs a stable and reliable phone, which ROM would you recommend? I'm using Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, Gmail, Youtube, Camera, Camscanner and GMaps only.

Thanks in advance.

By downloading and flashing InsertCoin Custom ROM for HTC ONE M8 you agree to the following:
  • Your warranty is now void.

  • We are NOT responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.

  • Support is limited. We do this as a hobby in our free time. We'll do our best to help you if you state your problem in clear English, with as much information as you can (what mods you selected, have you wiped, when exactly does the error occur, what type of phone you have (ul, l , ws etc.), what carrier, logcat and so on. The more information you offer, easier for us to help you. If you do not ask for support in clear English and with no information what-so-ever we will ignore your issue!

  • Leave the self entitled customer attitude at the door. We are under NO obligation what-so-ever to do anything for you. If we do it is because we like helping people. Using custom work published on XDA is not a right, it is a privilege. If you think otherwise please read here. Or watch this video.

  • NO Requests! When we work on InsertCoin we have in mind that we have to satisfy all users to a decent level. What works for us might not work for you and vice versa . We are not your personal ROM developers and it is not our job nor our intention to make everybody happy.

  • Do not come here asking "Hey mate, X rom has that awesome feature and if you don't implement it in your rom, I'll <insert whatever here>!" You flashed this ROM because you liked it at some point, if that change please stop using it.

  • Suggestions for improvements are always welcomed. As long as they are well documented and as long as you understand that NOT everything is possible.

  • NO ETAs! While we do our best to constantly work on the ROM to improve, *fix and add new features, again this is a hobby! There are periods when due real-life issues we can't spend too much time for InsertCoin! If this becomes an obligation passion fades and we might stop cooking the ROM

  • You must ask our express permission!

  • You are NOT allowed to use any part of the tweaks files, scripts or proprietary ICE code

  • If you get the permission when you use the files you MUST post proper link to this thread and mention

  • Not respecting this simple rules will lead to reporting to XDA Administrators.

Anyone have the latest stable version (version 5) running on Nexus 10 [Manta]??

I've been trying for days to get ubuntu touch on my Nexus 10, and nothing works. Finally posted on AskUbuntu, but it's not getting much attention. At this point I just want to know if what I am trying is even possible. Here is a copy-paste of the post:

askubuntu[dot]com/questions/796924/can-not-install-ubuntu-touch-on-nexus-10

I am having a lot of trouble installing Ubuntu onto my Nexus 10 (16gb wifi edition). I have followed the instructions here [1] and here[2]. No matter what I do it ends with the message 'this phone needs restoring from a pc or service center'. I have searched ask ubuntu and other forums and here is what I have tried to solve the problem. Installed android 4.4.4 stock, cyanogenmod 11, android 4.0 stock prior to flashing. I also formatted with

$ fastboot format cache
$ fastboot format userdata

as suggested here[3]. Nothing seems to work.

Other things to note, I am using ubuntu-device-flash on a virtual box machine running ubuntu 16.04, and it takes a long time for ubuntu-device-flash to push the last .tar.xz file to my tablet, somewhere in the range of 1 hour or more. Last night I let it run overnight because some on some forums the response to similar problems was "be patient" once you see the 'this phone needs restoring...' error. When I woke up the phone was in a boot loop and I had to re-flash stock 4.4.4.

I have successfully flashed ubuntu version 2 with the dual boot app in android, but I can't get it to update. I also have not been successful in getting the app to use the UBports server as a custom server to install the latest version, similar to this guy[4].

Anyone know what could be wrong?

Which one cm 13 based rom is most stable as at 03-07-2016

Well i bought mi redmi note 3 kenzo in sort of thinking that it must posses some high level dev activities, but now i am thinking that i proved wrong, even after 4 months of launching this device ,it yet not get official cm support or any stable cm rom .every time when i open rn3 thread found every build has lot of bugs like
1.mic and speaker error
2.earphone bug
3.bt mac and other mac address diff.
4.unstable rils like wifi as reported by testers
5.camera fc errors
6.different fing. Sen. Remain unrecog.
7.proximity sensor error
8.sim related issues like volte and sim switch problems
9.battery bug
10.min. Brightness bug in rr latest 2-07-2016 build
11.and many others like media codecs bug,mtp transfer file bug
12.low quality camera
Even after this devs release them as stable daily driving . Why its development is too slow even at this earlier stage ?????
I dont know what will happen later on.... With this device
Never seen such issues in prior mi devices or other released phones .
Even mi devs seems less interested in this device (thats why they released miui 8 on 5.1 rather than 6.0.1)
After a big positive responses in sales of this device from buyers ,why they seems drawing back supports for global ones, even after being global one co. ,it remains stucked majorly with chinese .at least they should take care of indian market which warmly accepted and reposed in xiaomi .
