Home screen icons turning green

I am running stock CoS 12.1 on my ZUK Z1 and have been noticing that the icons on the home screen are getting corrupted and turning green (please see attachment).

I have noticed that this happens especially after the app receives an update. The green icons are still fully functional and load up the apps fine. Also these green icons do not show up on the app drawer, just the home screen.

It started with one app and now gradually more apps are following suit.

Please advise why this is happening and how to fix it.

how to change folder icons?

im running mickys mm rom and dont like the (new?) folder icons.
im running a rather dark desktop theme, so the icons should be darker, smaller or transparent..

i am able to change most of the other app icon via icon packs but the icons of the app folders/collections remain ugly. it might even suffice if i could change the icons color or transparacy. so far the only way is to choose a color of a handful of pastel shades for the folder itself.

any ideas? do i loose anything like the edge screen if i choose another launcher like nova over touchwiz?

Apps gone after restart - just green android icons - not using App2SD

Hello, dear experts!

I just got a new Lg G3 d855 32gb with stock android 6.0. I rooted and installed twrp according to the tutorial by tute123456.
I recovered my apps from an old phone (with android 5.1) using Titanium Backup Pro.
I made some custom settings in some apps, rearranged my apps on the homescreen, restarted the phone several times, etc.
At first everything worked flawless and as expected....

Then after another restart, suddenly almost all of my (about 150 of 200 apps) where gone and instead of their app icon a green android icon appeared on the home screen (see screenshot):


When i click on the green icon i get the message "this app is not installed". Also the apps are not showing up as installed anymore in google play store or in TitaniumBackup. BUT they still take up space in the application root folder (/data/data/...).



Of course i could recover the apps again with TitaniumBackup, but as i have arround 200 apps this would take a couple of time (at least 30 minutes)...
I guess that in fact the apps are not really gone but something has just broken the links to the apps. :confused:

So this is what i did so far... unfortunately without success:

1. I restarted the phone several times and waited long time before entering the sim code... no change!


2. i started Market doctor in TitaniumBackup, but the gone apps doesn't show up.


3. I wiped dalvik cache with TWRP, after restart the upgrading dialog box appears but only 56 (of arround 200) apps are rebuilt.


4. I tryed repair system in TWRP... no success!


5. I recovered all apps using TitaniumBackup again... the now uptaking space increased (!)... after a few restarts (maybe 10 to 12)... same thing again... funny little green android icons :eek:

I didn't ever move any apps to sdcard and never made use of app2sd. And i always took care not to restore any system apps with TitaniumBackup. :good:

Do you have any idea what happend to my android?
Why did everything work as expected even after some restarts?
Do have any idea how to recover my apps permanently ??

Notification Bar and Status Bar Icons

I have the AMZ version of the G4, which its not bootloader unlockable so is there a way to change the color of the notification bar from white to a different color? and how can you change the status bar icons?

Hide Status Bar Icons

Now that we have root is there a way to hide some of the status bar icons? Like system UI tuner does on the Nexus devices...

notification icons missing in status bar

I bought my s6 and it was running 6.0.1 out of the box.
Whenever I get a whatsapp message I don't get a icon in the status bar. When I swipe the bar down the messages are there and they also appear on the lockscreen.
For some reason I can't get it to say 'allowed'.
I have added screenshots of my settings in the "notification" menu

Anybody here knows the setting or is having similar problems? I have some more apps that have this problem.

Carrier bootscreen, Icons, Camera and Hicare questions.

So I upgraded to the current build I am on (info in attached screenshot) from the earliest build I could find and all builds I upgraded to and from are Europe based. My question is why did this completely remove my carriers bootscreen? I'm with Spark NZ.
My other question is all my Google based icons are now showing as they are meant to (see screenshot). Was this also a result of upgrading to MM? The other build of MM I tried didn't do this so I'm curious.
My camera is also now no longer taking full screen pics, it seems that something went wrong and now it all comes out in little(r) box(es) rather than nice full screen images.
Last but not least, Hicare. This has been working along side and sometimes over top of Play Store in updating certain apps includingthe Play Store. Is it supposed to be doing that?

Anyone have a way of replacing the ugly data icons with the Android stock ones?

Theme Icon's dont update!!

I just installed fRomFuture - NewWorld V2 and when I try to apply a theme, non of the icons update!

Icons not working in EMUI theme

I recently made a theme for EMUI, and I have a problem with some icons. I put them in theme correctly and name them with app package name, but they don't show up correctly in home screen. Sample:

I'd like to know if there is a way to show the stock huawei icons which come with the themes, because I see that in other launches the icons can be aplied, but no in Nova in non root devices

Android icons are substituting the icons of apps downloaded for me. My phone is Huawei Y300 with stock OS 4.1.1, and only 393 MB RAM. I´m using Nova Launcher and would like to know how repair this. Thanks in advance

It´s posible to change the coloured notifications incons to the black and white like the others android phones?

New app icons

I cant seem to get the new instagram and paypal icon logo on my honor 7 device. When i go on google play i can see the new logo but it wouldn't appear on my homescreen. What's the fix for this?

[MOD] [ROOT] Remove RCS Service /Volte Service Icons

This will remove the RCS Service/ VoLTE Service icons that appear on the device after rooting.

Note: This requires ADB to be installed as well as knowledge of Push/Pull commands.

Step 1: Download Attached File.

Step 2: Type the following command

adb push (File Location) /system/app/imsservice/imsservice.apk

Step 3: Reboot


I will make a flashable zip when I have the time. For now this works just as well.

Icons border disappeared, can you confirm ?

This morning the orrible borders of non-huawei icons disappeared. I don't know if this is a bug or not. I tried to change some theme then i reboot my phone, but the third part icons still (
fortunately) have their stock icons.

Can I change notification icons with root toolbox on Verizon note 4 running cm13, MM?

Hey everyone, I was just curious, is it possible to customize my own notification icons, like clock, battery, wifi, etc through metamorph and ROM toolbox? Or do I exclusively have to use the theme engine in MM and cm13 to change the look of these icons??

Poor quality icons in Google Play

Hello. I'm using LG L90 D405N with Cyanogenmod 13 Nightly from 1.07
There seems to be some issue with images in Google Play. These look like compressed jpgs. Not only icons, but also background pictures on application pages. I attached a screenshot to show you what it looks like. I don't know when this happen. On previous nightly (from May i think) it also occured. Do anybody know how to fix this?
