Apps gone after restart - just green android icons - not using App2SD

Hello, dear experts!

I just got a new Lg G3 d855 32gb with stock android 6.0. I rooted and installed twrp according to the tutorial by tute123456.
I recovered my apps from an old phone (with android 5.1) using Titanium Backup Pro.
I made some custom settings in some apps, rearranged my apps on the homescreen, restarted the phone several times, etc.
At first everything worked flawless and as expected....

Then after another restart, suddenly almost all of my (about 150 of 200 apps) where gone and instead of their app icon a green android icon appeared on the home screen (see screenshot):

When i click on the green icon i get the message "this app is not installed". Also the apps are not showing up as installed anymore in google play store or in TitaniumBackup. BUT they still take up space in the application root folder (/data/data/...).

root folder /data/data

Of course i could recover the apps again with TitaniumBackup, but as i have arround 200 apps this would take a couple of time (at least 30 minutes)...
I guess that in fact the apps are not really gone but something has just broken the links to the apps.

So this is what i did so far... unfortunately without success:
  1. I restarted the phone several times and waited long time before entering the sim code... no change!

  2. i started Market doctor in TitaniumBackup, but the gone apps doesn't show up.

  3. I wiped dalvik cache with TWRP, after restart the upgrading dialog box appears but only 56 (of arround 200) apps are rebuilt.

  4. I tryed repair system in TWRP... no success!

  5. I recovered all apps using TitaniumBackup again... the now uptaking space increased (!)... after a few restarts (maybe 10 to 12)... same thing again... funny little green android icons

I didn't ever move any apps to sdcard and never made use of app2sd. And i always took care not to restore any system apps with TitaniumBackup. :good:

Do you have any idea what happend to my android?
Why did everything work as expected even after some restarts?
Do have any idea how to recover my apps permanently ??

S7 G935A Apps crashing and phone will not restart after root

Hey guys I have recently rooted my S7 Edge G935A following this guide (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNInTlCpv8E). After that I followed this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/veri...nroot-t3411039) to debloat my phone and install xposed. After all of this my phone would work perfectly fine for about 2 to 3 days and then my apps would start crashing and if I restarted my phone it would soft lock. Any help as to why this is happening would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Make Tasker restart GPS when fix is lost

Hey there,

I am having some problems with GPS of my phone. Sometimes I lose my GPS fix, typically when driving in an unknown area and relying on satnav.
What helps is to disable high precision location in quick settings and re-enable it.
So I thought this could be automated. If fix is lost, disable and enable GPS again.
Secure settings can do that, but I have problems getting a Tasker profile reacting properly to that state.
I tried querying the %LOCACC variable, (LOCACC < 5) but that didn't do it.
Any ideas?

Cheers, toskala

Fire phone restart constantly

I am having issues with my Fire phone. It started earlier today when my phone would spontaneously restart itself. Once it restarted it would function as usual for an hour or so. Then it started what I call a restart loop, where it will shut off and immediately restart to the amazon logo, cycling off and on continuously, up to 10 minutes at a time.

I tried a factory reset, but it went straight into the restart loop once it was the initial setup was complete. I am at a loss at what to do and any advice is much appreciated.

Thank you.

[GUIDE] [XPOSED] How to Bypass "Pattern required when you restart device" screen

Whenever you restart your device, for first time unlock we have to manually enter pin/pattern to unlock our device with fingerprint scanner [for Android 6.0+ roms]

FIX

Just activate this XPOSED module to bypass this screen and boot to your device directly

Tested with RR 6.0 on redmi note 3 pro, worked just fine

All credits to xda member @7OH for the xposed module and XDA for publishing this news :good:

Apps Only Update After Restart - Battery Drain

My T-Mobile LG G3 D851 has been running fine for 2 years. Over the past 6 months or so, the phone would not update apps unless a restart was performed. This was fine for me, as I would just restart once every few days and get the updates then.

But for the past week or two, the battery has been draining like crazy. Once I restart and the apps update, the battery drain slows down, but it still goes down much quicker than in the past. I've installed Greenify. I've studied the battery drain in Settings and it first appeared to be Google Play Services hogging up 40% of my battery, but installing Greenify seems to have nullified that. Right now, it looks like Android OS is causing the phone to lose battery.

I've also ordered another battery and am waiting for it. I'm not sure if this will help. The phone is generally warm/hot to the touch near the camera and button area (upper half).

Rooted, Xposed, stock rom with no OTA updates ever since I bought the phone in 2014, froze some stock T-Mobile apps and bloat

Can anyone help me?
