no longer a m2 user/owner

Well that time has come to move forward and I've upgraded to a new Xperia xa I was gonna keep the m2 but the xa is that good I don't see the need so it's gone. Had the xa since last week and you certainly shouldn't believe everything bad you read about these devices, the xa makes the m2 look like a Xperia E1 I I'll be around in the xa+Sony cross device forums and on g+ thanks for all the help+work with the m2 guys and maybe I'll see you in the xa group.

Stuck on "erasing", took longer than 24 hours and still stuck.

(NOTE: My phone is not rooted)

My ASUS Zenfone 2 is stuck at the "erasing" screen. When I started the factory reset, it went to the "erasing" screen. After reading other threads, I thought it was normal to format between 12-24 hrs. It has been about 28 hours, with my phone plugged in while formatting, and it is still stuck...

All methods, including hard reset and recovery mode took me back to the same screen, and still stuck. Can anyone help me? :crying:

Pc no longer booting to windows

I have a Dell Laptop running windows 10 and boots via UEFI. I have installed Remix OS beta (64 bit version) several times on the HDD using the Remix program available when downloading from their website. Apart from one occasion only, Remix usually hung and I remained patient, waiting for a version that would work. That happened with the latest version (2.0.403) i.e Remix finally works and the OS boots up normally. However (as is usually the case with life in general) whilst Remix works, when selecting windows from the Grub loader it says that it cannot find the path to windows and I cannot boot into windows. I appreciate that this is a Android forum but this problem is specific to Remix I think and some entry in the grub loader and as such I turn to this forum in case anyone has any ideas so that I can fix the grub loader or whatever and be able to boot into windows - I am of course happy that I can boot into Remix but I also still need my windows!

Apps no longer available on the Playstore

Hi. I had been looking to see if any older classic games had been ported or converted to Android. I did find a few but they are no longer on the Playstore. Is it possible to still obtain them?

The games I'm looking for are:

Bust-A-Move by Taito
Contra Evolution
Double Dragon (not the trilogy version)

My Phone no longer sees my SIM! (Ring Plus)

I was trying to install a ROM that would not have some of the bloatware that the stock Sprint ROM had. I unlocked the boot loader, tried to install TWRP but failed so I was using the fastboot boot recovery.img command to get into TWRP to flash it. and now have System Version 25.11.26.surnia_boost. Boost.en US sprint with Android 5.1

Did I use the wrong image when I flashed?

My S6 Active no longer works with any computers...

Was going to transfer some Roms between my phone and computer when I suddenly start receiving this notice:

"The last USB device you connected to this computer has malfunctioned and windows doesn't recognize it"

Upon further inspection in the device manager I get this:

Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)

I've tried uninstalling it numerous times and have tried reinstalling the official Samsung drivers but nothing is working. It's not working on any computer I try it with so at this point I don't know what else to do. It was working fine just a few hours ago.

No longer used for notifications?

Hello, ok this has been bugging me really bad. My main use for a smartwatch apart from telling the time is to know when I have notifications when my phone is on silent.

Since maybe marshmallow on my Z5 I think the "do not disturb" feature is also applying to my watch.

My expected outcome for when my phone is in that mode is for my watch to vibrate when a message or call comes through hence I know there is a notification there.

It used to work like that and so did my other Sony smartwatches I have had however now it does not.

Am I missing a crucial setting or something?

The notifications come through fine but when in that mode there is no vibrate.

Copy & paste no longer working in marshmallow?

Try this

I'm using a text file in my sd card that contains my google play password
Up until now I've been able to copy my text and then paste it into my google play 'enter your password' here field with no problems

However since the marshmallow update (6.01 23.5.A.0.575) I can no longer 'paste' the text into google play, although I can copy the text ok, and paste it into another text to prove it's copied ok.

In case anyone thinks its because its going over from sd card into internal spaces that's the problem, I tried using the same text saved in the internal part of storage with the same problem.

Is this a new bug or some wonderful new google play 'feature' to stop you from copy/pasting.

Navigation with Maps no longer working

Hi,

I've noticed a strange problem: my Sony Smartwatch 3 refuses to navigate.

I can use voice input to select a location, then I can choose a mode (car, bike, on foot) but then it always quits, saying "an error has occured, try again later"
This has been happening for quite a while now, so I think something is broken. My SW3 is paired to a Nexus 5x running N Preview 4

updated to android 4.3 and supersu no longer works

Hi

I think I updated from android 4.2 to 4.3. My phone suddenly restarted (I guess I accidentally tapped update android in the notification bar). . I see I have android 4.3 now and I think I had 4.2 before.

Another thing that has happened is that supersu has stopped working. When I try to open it it says "thre is no SU binary installed..........If you just upgraded to android 4.3 you ned to manually re-root"

I really don't want to lose all my data and applications doing that. What can I do?
