Can you use maps offline?

Hello,

Looking to pick up a SW3. Currently an owner of the SW2.

I was curious as to whether the SW3 could operate with an offline map as I do not have data on my phone. I heard that the SW3 has a built in GPS so I am assuming it would work if there was a way to download map data to the device. Is capable of doing so atm? (Reason: for directions)

3D Maps in android apps

I Have some question about 3D Maps in apps. I know JAVA very well, but i have never tried to build some Android app,and i think now its the best time to start :). So, my question is, How can i build some 3D Map ? (For example the map in 'Pokemon go' or 'Waze'). I know that this is kind of funny question,Its a project that can takes years, so i will be more specific,What should i study to be able to make something similar ? What should i study to integrate flash(?) parts in my future app ?

GPS fails in Google Maps

Hi Guys,

I've been enjoying my OP3 for a couple of weeks now.
Only one thing that doesn't seem to function; Navigating w/ Google Maps.

GPS in other apps (Pokemon Go / GoogleNow / Ingress / etc.) works fine.
When i search a location in maps, i see the blue dot for where i am located, which also moves perfectly with where i am (even on highways).

As soon as i press 'go navigate', the app has no clue of where i am, and lacks behind hundreds of meters. Every time i get out of the app, and back into it, it fixes again on the spot where i am, and then stays at that place.

Anyone else got this issue, or perhaps knows how to fix it?

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Google Maps Navigation mode can't fix position

Hello everyone. I've got a problem with Google Maps Navigation. I think it's an app bug because its' very strange.

GPS Data, Here Maps and Google Maps can fix position.
But when I switch to Navigation mode in Google Map, the app loose satellites and can not fix.
As soon as I exit Navigation mode to come back to Maps mode, the fixed satellites increase.

Please does someone have the same bug?
I've cleaned every caches, restored ROM backup and now I'm on a clean installation of CM 12.1 (2016-02-03) and the position bug is still there.

HERE maps not working

Google maps getting reset and offline data being deleted automatically.

Guys, I have issues regarding google maps. Whenever I download a offline data, the maps are being deleted automatically after a day a two and Google maps getting reset.

I downloaded offline area and opened google maps only to see the intro page "accept and continue" and no offline area.

I am using note 4 n910c, dn5 0.6 running Android 6.0.1.

What seems to be the problem?

Google maps

I'm on 9.27.2 Google maps. If I go to play store, it shows 2 google maps, one has yellow ad. See attachment. If I install update from the other app( w/o ad) it installs it any way. What is this aboutAttachment 3803226

Navigation with Maps no longer working

Hi,

I've noticed a strange problem: my Sony Smartwatch 3 refuses to navigate.

I can use voice input to select a location, then I can choose a mode (car, bike, on foot) but then it always quits, saying "an error has occured, try again later"
This has been happening for quite a while now, so I think something is broken. My SW3 is paired to a Nexus 5x running N Preview 4
