My Phone no longer sees my SIM! (Ring Plus)

I was trying to install a ROM that would not have some of the bloatware that the stock Sprint ROM had. I unlocked the boot loader, tried to install TWRP but failed so I was using the fastboot boot recovery.img command to get into TWRP to flash it. and now have System Version 25.11.26.surnia_boost. Boost.en US sprint with Android 5.1

Ring & alarm minimum volume

Anyone else feel the ring and alarm volume doesn't go low enough before muting?

IMO there is to large a jump from mute to the next step.

vibrate mode toggle reset ring volume

so normally you can toggle vibrate mode on/off by pressing the volume button once, when the volume slider appears in the top of the screen, pressing the bell on the left of the slider toggled between ring and vibrate.
normally when you toggle in and out of vibrate mode it will remember the ringer volume that is normally set. i.e. i normally have ringer at maximum, if i toggle on vibrate mode the slider goes all the way down, and if i toggle out of vibrate mode the slider goes right back up to maximum volume. I has been like this since kitkat i think?
problem is with the OP3 when i toggle out of vibrate mode the ringer is back on but only at a low level. Anyone have any idea why this happens?

Notification ring tone choice will not stick

New P9000 and updated to 2016-05-31. Have set a notification ring tone as default in setting. However, system will not use it and I think uses the factory notification ring tone instead. It appears in the sound & notification section. I can change and hold the phone ringtone and can change ringtones for the contacts. Any ideas on how to spank this baby and make it use my notification choice? Thanks..
