Hi - can someone please help me? Suddenly, I am getting multiple notifications for each text message received. Can someone please help me fix this? Thank you.

Problem with notifications..
Hi there, I'm facing a problem with the notification in WhatsApp, when I get a message and let's say I'm chrome or any other app it's only shows the WhatsApp icon on the notification bar, but if I don't remember it wrong it should at leats show me something like new message from "anywho" and then the icon, or even give me the option to fast reply showing me the whole message but it's not doing any of this, only the icon and I have to draw the notification bar just to see who is texting me..
It's this the way it's supposed to work? Cuz is driving me crazy..
I have a Nexus 6p running last marshmallow stock build with July security patch, unlocked and rooted with EX-kernel and a theme called Milos using layers manager, dunno if that have something to do with it..
Appreciate any kind of help.

Weather App that shows notifications and launches google now weather?
Hey so I've been a supporter of Amber Weather for a loooong time now. However as of late I've been on a minimizing spree, reducing space taken up by apps, processing, battery drain, etc. So i was wondering. Is there an app that gives you a persistent weather notification widget similarly to amber weather BUT launches Google Now's weather section similarly to how the icon would do it. Or is there no such thing?
I found one app called Weather Notification that i thought would let me choose what would happen when i clicked on the notification but soon found out that it only launched the Weather Notification app for configuration and the notification itself wasn't persistent as it could be swiped away and cleared.
So is there something out there like what i'm describing or am i doomed to always have amber weather for the notification and just launching google now's weather from it's shortcut?

Notifications not showing and home button doesn't work
Hey, I know what is wrong and I know what I did to break it, I just don't know how to fix it. I can't use my home button or see my notifications after installing gapps. I know it's because I told it to remove setup wizard (because i thought it was causing a conflict which was causing a force close). now I guess the setup wizard isn't properly notifying the OS that it has been completed locking me out of my homebutton and notifications.
I've already tried invoking the setup wizard again but that didn't fix it. I tried wiping cache and dalvik and reinstalling cm13 back over the current system partition (thinking maybe that would reinstall the origional setupwizard that I had removed) that didn't work.
is there any way or file i could edit to tell the os that it's no longer being set up?

Data usage in notifications
Hey, just a quick question. Before the Marshmallow update, you could monitor on the data usage in the notifications screen (see screenshot). It is not there anymore. Also it is not possible anymore to define the tracking cycle for data usage.
Am I blind our did they forget those options?

Keep screen OFF when receiving notifications
I have a smartwatch and my beautiful phone has also a notification LED. Considering this, I do not want to use the lock-screen notifications at all.
Therefore, I turned OFF the lock screen notifications from the "sounds and notifications" settings menu but even now, in case of a notification or event, the screen will turn ON briefly. If the phone is in my pocket during that time and I have a trusted device nearby (my smartwatch) then the phone will unlock by randomly swiping the screen with my leg (large shorts :) ).
For the past few days I pulled out the phone in different languages, or with the tethering hotspot active or other randomly activated settings.
So, the 1000 points question is: how the heck can I force the 10 to not turn on the screen on notifications? I have no root and I do not intend to install one (company policy). Is there any solution? Thx.

App join notifications . On mtcb headunit
There is in the play store a app called join. This app allow you to send all your notification of your fone to a other android device and windows and appel device.
I have the app installed on my fone and on my head unit with malaysk ROM. But I ran into some problems. The SMS messages go automatically to the head unit and that's good but all the others go not automatically to the head unit.
Maybe there is someone here can help me with this setup.
Type JOIN in play store and you can find it .
Hope some one can help me.

No longer used for notifications?
Hello, ok this has been bugging me really bad. My main use for a smartwatch apart from telling the time is to know when I have notifications when my phone is on silent.
Since maybe marshmallow on my Z5 I think the "do not disturb" feature is also applying to my watch.
My expected outcome for when my phone is in that mode is for my watch to vibrate when a message or call comes through hence I know there is a notification there.
It used to work like that and so did my other Sony smartwatches I have had however now it does not.
Am I missing a crucial setting or something?
The notifications come through fine but when in that mode there is no vibrate.
Thank you

How to improve poor notifications
I'm on the latest Marshmallow (v6.0.1) for the Xperia Z3 (D6603) and the only thing I don't like about it are the LED notifications. When I get an email, text etc the tiny little led flashes limply about once every 3 seconds so you have to stare at it for a while to see if you have a message. If it flashed on and off once or twice per second you could glance at it and find out; as it is you might as well just press the power button and look (and wake it up).
Additionally, pressing the power button and discovering there's a notification seems to stop the LED flashing (until the next message turns up) even though you've not read the message. IE the notification might just say "1 email" but not display who sent it, the subject etc, but as far as the notification system is concerned you've just waved the LED flashing away.
I've gone through the settings a few times and looked at 1) notifications generally, 2) permissions per app, 3) the apps themselves but there don't seem to be any obvious settings to govern this behaviour. I'm not desperate to root my phone or buy apps which drain the battery etc; i'm just wondering if there's some option somewhere to make the notifications a little more persistent and obvious.

Problem dismissing notifications from messaging application
I'm developing some modifications to a existing messaging applications in order to make it compatible with Android Auto.
Everything works fine, notifications are shown and spoken, replied, etc. But there is no way of canceling (removing) the notifications from the head unit.
Searching the internet I've only found a (unanswered) question about this issue:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3...70081_33556963
Questions:
Please, forgive me if this is not the correct forum, I've trying to find the most adequate but none seems perfect :(

- Maybe it is related to me using the DHU simulator head unit? I have also tried the old auto messaging simulator with the same result.
- Is there any other simulator available that I can run in a separate Android / PC to test this behavior?
- Perhaps it is an intended behavior... It happens also to other apps like Whatsapp in the simulator. Does it happen in real head units?

Lockscreen Notifications
With my last phone I was able to see up to 5 notifications on the lockscreen, with the 10 only two with all the remaining being ones being displayed in a single bar by its icons. Any way to get it to be like in my past phone? I'm rooted and exposed. Thanks.

Not receiving notifications unless I wake screen in OnePlus 3 running Marshmallow
Hi there, I was wondering if anyone might have any suggestions on how I could disable the Android Marshmallow doze/deep sleep mode that is default on new devices to save battery. I have a OnePlus 3 and have made every effort to check that all my notifications for calendar, whatsapp, emailing, etc. are set to both vibrate and make a sound, disabled all battery optimization features for apps, tried using screenlock wake apps to avoid missing notifications, and more. However, I am still unable to get notifications for whatsapp, emails, calendar reminders and events once my screen goes to sleep or I lock then phone and it's idle (so after about 15-30 minutes of it sleeping), but calls and texts seem to come through fine (or at least I haven't noticed these being an issue as much). This is a HUGE inconvenience, as my main reason to have a smartphone is so I can check emails, calendar events and such right as I receive them, and not only when I wake up my screen (which then bombards me with all my previous missed notifications from hours before). I have a feeling this is an android 6.0 issue and not due to the OnePlus 3, because it's been reported in other sites and by people with phones also using either this OS or lollipop. My older Samsung galaxy S4 running kitkat never had these problems, and at this point I'm very keen on going back if I can't get my new phone (or this OS, as I predict) to notify me right away even when my screen is locked and phone asleep (I can't always remember to check it especially if I'm busy at work). I am willing to root the phone and change settings if that's an option, but I would please like to see if you guys have any other suggestions for allowing my phone to receive notifications right away even when in sleep mode/idle/dozing. Thank you for your time in advance. :) Oh last thing, I also posted this question in other forums because I am honestly quite desperate to find out what I can do to resolve this issue, so I'm sorry if that's an inconvenience...

Trying to turn off OTA update notifications
I've been trying to find the app/service to freeze to turn off OTA update notifications. I have the g930f and it doesn't seem to have an item in the applications list for the OTA update service. I've done a lot of googling for this and haven't found anything to guide me on what to freeze so I don't see the "there's an update you should download it....there's an update will you download it now...click here to download the update" nagging.
Does anyone know the name of the app/service to freeze via Titanium Backup? Many thanks if you can identify this for me.

How Can I Get Notification's On Lock Screen
Hi,Guys how can i get notification on my lock-screen i have them enabled etc but they do not show on the lock-screen any ideas will be really appreciated
No notifications after root
Hi! I'm new in this forum and with an android device. So maybe it's just me, but i'm really concerned because many notifications don't arrive. Before unlock de bootloader and root the device it worked better but not perfect. But now... I used the app "Push Notifications Fixer" with root permissions, but hasn't improved the situation.
Does anyone have any idea or what can I do?
And one more thing, less important: is it possible to see all whatsapp messages on the lock screen instead of having only one indicating the number of messages you have ?
Thanks a lot! And sorry for my English.

"Peek/ Heads Up" Notifications Turn Back ON (Reset) After Reboot?
Hey guys, I have somewhat of a problem here & I am reporting this to make sure I am NOT the only one experiencing this issue.
I have a T-Mobile G5 running 6.0.1 & today I noticed that whenever I go to the app Info page, of let's say "Hangouts" to turn OFF "Peek" notifications... after I reset the device, the toggle also resets to back to ON!
This is SUPER frustrating (almost as the Google Keyboards "Auto Correct" haha) as I am actually using "Floatify" to have "Nougat" style "Peek" notifications and I am getting them TWICE thanks to the system's native "Peek" notifications on apps like Hangouts & maps. I thought this toggle was supposed to turn OFF Peek notifications in Marshmallow & actually STAY off!!!
I actually even remember experiencing this on my G4 back when I got the Marshmallow update to, but I thought it was just a bug or something that would be fixed. It freaking SUCKS, that it's still here on the G5.
Can anyone confirm the same, ANY type of help, input or advice is GREATLY appreciated. Thank you all in advanced for your help, & please let me know if you have this too, anything helps at this point.

Turn off notifications while driving?
Is there any way for me to disable popup notifications when I'm in driving mode of maps? They are distracting, dangerous and not wanted when I'm actually trying to drive and navigate! :)
