Xperia X/X Performance Camera sensor information

Hi everyone, I've been searching the internet for the past couple of hours and I see there is a disagreement for the sensor used in Xperia X and X Performance. Some sources say (like Wikipedia) they use the same IMX300 sensor as the Z5 series, and some sources claim that it is IMX318. And almost none of the reviewers mentioned anything related to this during their YouTube reviews. What do the developers here know about this? Please do enlighten us

Owner Information not showing on lock screen

Hi. I cannot figure this out! I'm on an S7 Edge SM-G935F running Superman Rom. After updating, the owner information will not show on my lock screen. Instead, there is a little alarm clock in its place and I cannot figure out what app is doing this. I assume that when I find and disable this app, the alarm clock icon will disappear and the owner info will return, but it's driving me crazy. I have already disabled all lockscreen notifications and it did not help. Funny thing is, this happened once before and I did fix it, but forgot how. I'll paste a pic. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. (and please don't ask if I rebooted!) Thanks.

Reactivation lock just wont turn off at all. I type in the correct info and it loads back to the screen with the check mark still on it under security. What can I do to fix this? I'm currently on a stock pb1 flashed in odin because I couldn't upgrade to MM due to Odin being reactivation locked. Can any one help please? ♥

Request for Information: L950 + InterOp Tools (Call Recording)

Do you have a L950 with Interop Tools installed? If you do, I would really like for you to help me out by checking three registry settings on your phone so that I can try to force Call Recording to be enabled on my L640 and other devices where call recording isn't officially supported.

With your phone and Interop Tools, please browse to the below location:
Interop Tools -> Registry Browser -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Microsoft -> Phone -> Settings ->

Can you please post the values for the below three keys on your handset?
PreferredRecordingApplication
RecordingFeatureDisabled
RecordingOff

Thanks so much for your help!

Honor 7 partitions - information needed

Hello,

some discussions on android-hilfe.de about the Honor 7 modem partition and additionally Wanams App "Partitions Backup & Restore" brought me to the following issue:

The Honor 7 has a bunch of partitions and some partitions seem to be very device specific.
Looking into Wanams App (s. attachments) several partitions are marked with a yellow background as "IMEI / EFS related". Because of that I am assuming that device specific informations like IMEI, serial nummber, mac addresses for WLAN and Bluetooth etc. are stored on one or more of those special partitions (I think that the time to burn such informations on EPROMs is gone, isn't it?).

That's leading to my question: Can somebody tell me which device specific information is stored on what partition?

I think that this aspect is very important for those who want to create their own Custom ROM because it would be very "stupid" if you provide a ROM that changes one of those partitions and later on you have to recognize that all affected devices have (for example) the same IMEI.

Thank you in advance and best regards
m_esser

Wrong information in the 'About phone' panel

This is my first post, so I apologize if I am in the wrong section, but I really need help.
After running diferent custom roms on my KIW-L21, I saw the official MM update on the forum, so I restored my TWRP backup of B140 and tried updating but with no luck, so I tried restoring stock B130. Because the force update wouldn't work I flashed the files manually using adb and fastboot and succeded. The problem is that now, when I go to the 'about phone' panel all the informations except for the version number are wrong :
model is unknown
CPU shows quad core 1,2 GHz
RAM 1,0 GB
Memory 4,0 GB
Resolution 540 x 960
Android version 4.3.
Has anyone encountered anything like this?
Once again, I am very sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, but I could really use some help.

First time opening Google Play: "Error retrieving information from server. [RH-01]"

Finally rooted my HDX 7" (2013) on 4.5.5.1, installed Google Play and its components. Here's how I did it:
  1. In the Amazon App Store, download ES File Explorer.

  2. Open and go to "Favorites" in the top left then "Add."

  3. Add the following site: "dwl [dot] gadgetsxray [dot] com" and name it "dwl".

  4. Once added, it will appear under the favorites tab. Click it to open. Then click the top link.

  5. Four files will appear ending in .apk. Click one file to highlight then click the three dots in the bottom right and select "Open in Browser" and open each .apk file with ES Downloader to download each file. Once all of them have been downloaded, choose to open the folder.

  6. Select and install each .apk in this order: Services Framework, Play Services, Account Manager, Play Store - you'll be prompted to allow installations from unknown parties.

I then opened up the Play Store for the first time, and signed into my Google account. First thing I see is this error message:

Error retrieving information from server. [RH-01]

I can see that my Google account is still signed into the Play Store. However, I can't sign out of it because there isn't an "account settings" option in Fire OS. Any ideas how to get around this? I've already reinstalled the store and its components, and it already logged me into my Google account as soon as it completed.

Thanks for any help.

AFTV2 - Faking build information to plex

Hi,

I would like to know if there's some way to bypass some fake device information to a single app (single app because I think that faking all apps would kill at least the amazon prime functionality, right?)
That app is plex in that case cause on Fire TV you see only a very limited layout without the option to set local sync path for example. I tried several ways to trick the app (change the layout setting under /data/data/com.plex.android/shared-prefs/, incl. making the config file immutable) but I'm almost for sure that it calls the information from the build.prop or similar.
I guess the build.prop is also some bad idea, right?

Would be great if somebody has a idea or something.
Regards
