Trying to sideload the ota and adb gets to 44% and gets stuck

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I've tried multiple times and it just gets stuck every single time. The July OTA bricked my N9 so I've gotta try this.

Thank you in advance!

Getting Error Installing Android MM from LP Using ADB SideLoad

I am trying to install Firmware of Marshmallow from Lollipop through ADB sideload and i am getting error saying it cannot be done. I tried flashing CM13 latest version and it also giving error. I think Apr 25th 2016 onwards upgrading from Lollipop to MM need New recovery of MM or TWRP. Now its not working with Apr4th version 3.0.2 TWRP. Anybody please help me....

I think if i get stock recovery file of Marshmallow, it will solve this problem. Anyone who are upgraded to MM though OTA update, please provide me your recovery.img and boot.img files. Thanks for viewing this thread.

adb Sideload cm13, stuck on boot animation

Hi- I've recently gotten ahold of a old SE xperia arc, it was stock ICE, non-bootloader unlocked, not rooted etc.

I've unlocked the bootloader w/ sony's webpage where you fill in imei etc,
I go for installing a custom rom, namely the cm13 from the LX Project page ( http://legacyxperia.github.io )

i extracted the boot.img from the zip, did fastboot flash boot boot.img .
when i enter recovery after doing this, I have no option to flash from sdcard, where i've put the romzip, the only option i see is sideload, I've never used adb sideload functionallity before, i'm used to do it from the sdcard inside the clockwordmod recovery.

Anyway, formated /system, etc., fired up adb, did the sideload, and then rebooted.

Now the device is stuck in boot animation of marshmellow. What to do?

LG G4 brick (available recovery, adb sideload)

Hi guys. I need help. I have LG G4 LS991. The phone was not fully flashed and after a Hard Reset some sections were erased. It doesn't enter in Download mode. Without battery as qdloader 9008. With the battery, the phone tries to on, but freezes and reboots at different stages. But it enters to the recovery and it's possible to connect the phone as adb sideload. ZV6 firmware with root is set on the phone and Update package does not install. Any thoughts on this? There are chances to recover?

ADB Sideload not working for me

Despite all the good posts on here I have been unable to get my phone out of a boot loop, and am now quite desperate for help please!
If anyone can point me in the direction of a rom or kernel that will definitively work on my phone I will be eternally grateful

It was ok until I decided to unlock bootloader and root it.
Unlock bootloader went well, as did flashing TWRP and also CWM – I have a suspicion that it was rooting with OneClickRoot caused the problem.
After over a day of failure I discovered how to do ADB Sideload at this thread: I used CM11 I got from this thread: and also tried a Stock one from here:

sadly nothing worked, and I'm now afraid of filling my phone storage with large files. I have added some screen shots of my failed attempts with TWRP & CWM
they both fail, and TWRP does warn me not to reboot as I have no OS installed, but I had to keep on trying.
Another weird thing is that I cannot always reboot to recovery from the Hboot screen and have to re-flash a recovery image each time.

Assistance please; deleted OS and unable to sideload via ADB

Apologies in advance for the lengthy explanation; I've scoured these forums and can't find a fix for my problem, you'll see why:

And I've posted on these forums before; but please disregard my lack of visible commenting/participation, I've gotten considerably better with rooting and modifying my Android device just by reading threads and following links. However, I've run into a problem that unfortunately even after hours of research and trial and error I think I have to ask for help with. Here goes:

I bought a S-ON, locked and un-rooted Verizon HTC One M8 for the express purpose of rooting it and using it for my primary phone/hotspot for my house seeing how I live alone and have grandfathered unlimited Verizon data (blessed be). I was going to use PdaNet to turn on tethering (like on my Nexus 6P) but was met with a message saying I couldn't and to contact Verizon for a plan. Okay, that was to be expected; it's a Verizon phone, of course they're gonna put their greedy restrictions on it. So, I had to go the root way even earlier in my ownership than I thought I was going to. I was able to unlock the bootloader via SunShine (expensive, but I didn't find any other way; stupid Verizon) and after installing fastboot and ADB on my macbook pro was also able to gain root via TWRP. So far so good.

My next step was finding a way to get my phone to broadcast a hotspot in spite of the aforementioned restrictions. After a decent amount of searching, I found this guide. However, the person explaining the method said that the process wouldn't work unless it was on a vanilla (Nexus, basically) version of Android or a custom ROM. Okayyyy, I thought. I'd never installed a custom ROM just yet, but that was an eventuality because I've heard a lot of good things about Cyanogenmod, so I went and downloaded that from their page. That is where things went awry. Even though I thought I was being safe and putting the mod's .zip file in my /downloads folder on my HTC via Android File Transfer (the "official" Android file transfer app for mac), when I attempted to install it via TWRP, I got stuck in a bootloop.

I decided to wipe the phone as I didn't have any personal information on the device yet (except for a screenshot of root access verification to send to my friend as a "hell yeah!") but I guess I DELETED THE ENTIRE OS instead somehow. Classic noob mistake. I figured "Hey, no big deal, I'll just flash a stock OS or sideload one." So I dug around on these forums again and found this page by moderator dottat with a bunch of modified ROMs including two OTAs at the top that he said not to use unless you're S-OFF and willing to lose all your device info (which as I said above I was more than willing to do since I didn't have any data on the phone), but the download to both of those links is broken or something, as my browser seems to freeze and stop whenever I try to click on the link.

So I tried a couple of other ROMs in the blind hope that either by flashing via TWRP or ADB sideloading I could get back to where I was with my rooted unlocked phone. Nothing worked. Apparently what I was doing was trying to flash ROMs when they wouldn't really work because I had no OS installed on the device to begin with. Kept on getting a "Could not find 'META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary' in the zip file" error, I'm assuming because the .zip files I was actually NEEDING to sideload were on that broken link on dottat's page that I was referring to before. I googled and searched and couldn't find any OTA, stock OS files from what looked like reputable sources. Am I missing something? I have S-OFF and I'm unlocked AND my mac recognizes my device when it's in fastboot, is there an easier way to do this?

Once again sorry for the noob-like question but I figured I could post on here rather than going to another android forum since I am really deft at following directions and won't just annoy you guys with any "coddle me" attitude.

Thanks in advance, kind developer souls

Sideload Marshmallow from Lolli 1.17.40.1106

Hi all,

needing help upgrading to MM.

I'm stuck on 1.17.40.1106 since I unlock the bootloader I can't receive further updates.

I've read that to be able to upgrade to MM you need to have .1531 firmware but since I'm stuck, can I sideload MM 21.40.1220 from Lolli 1.17.40.1106?

I have TWRP installed but not rooted.
