how to root d850 marshmellow?

Hi, I just got a d850. my headphone jack activates google voice. the fix in this thread requires root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g...ained-t2871550

the only way to root marshmellow I've found is kingroot. and its temporary. which should be ok cause I just need to edit that file. I read that kingroot sends your imei to chinese servers. is this true?

Trying to root Galaxy S5 on VZW running Marshmellow

Need some help rooting my phone. It's a Samsung Galaxy S5 on VZW. I feel it's old enough now to root it and probably not have any problems.

I'm running Android 6.0.1. Model # SMG900V. I have the build # too. Is it safe to post that publicly?

I'm just trying to get rid of some of the stock apps and and move the rest to my SD card to clear up some space. So, I don't need any super packaged stuff that has all the bells and whistles.

It sounds good, but I don't know a thing about rooting. I've never rooted a phone, and I don't want to brick it. I was also looking at prebuilt roots like oneclickroot and kingroot but they sound a little iffy. Oneclickroot wouldn't work with my phone. I put it in developer mode and installed the ADP drivers that I think are for my phone locally.

I don't really want to install the full cyanogenmod, I'm happy with the standard Android OS, I just want some more power to do things my phone won't allow me, like deleting the stock apps that are taking up so much space.

I decided to try KingRoot as per the instructions on this video QicDqTKb_sU (I can't post links yet)
I downloaded the APK, ran it through Virustotal (which came back with a lot of positives, but I just assumed it was because it was a root installer, the AV software was warning against that). if you want to look it up yourself, the SHA256 hash is b780c2114c3b285d05024161345c72337f22b18c31ed178084 b8a8b41a586483.

So, I installed KingRoot, and it came back and said it didn't work. I ran the Root check app and it said I didn't have root access.

But now, when I boot with the "safe mode" where you clear cache and things like that, it has a warning that says:

Quote:

Warning!!

A custom OS can cause critical problems in phone and installed applications.

If you want to download a custom OS, press the volume up key.
Otherwise, press the volume down key to cancel.

Volume up: Continue
Volume Down: Cancel (restart phone)

It won't let me do anything else at that screen, so out of curiosity I hit volume up. Then, I got stuck at a screen that said "Downloading... Do not turn off target!!" and got stuck there and wouldn't do anything else.

The only way out is to pop the battery out and restart, or do the volume down, home and power button.

So, I'm kind of stuck. KingRoot won't work for me, and I found an article titled: "Update Verizon Galaxy S5 SM-G900V to Marshmallow 6.0.1 (PF4) and Keep Root" but I'm too much of a newb to follow the instructions and I'm not sure it would work for my particular situation since I'm already in 6.0.1.

Other than that, the phone works perfectly fine. I can't boot into recovery mode to clean cache, but besides that I'm okay.

As far as I've gotten, I got myself into developer mode, allowed USB to be installed from unknown sources, enabled USB debugging and installed what I think are the right APB drivers for the phone (which I was going to use for Oneclickroot, but that apparently won't work with my device either).

Basically, my question is how do I root this phone without bricking it? I can't boot into recovery mode anymore without the error message and I don't know what software I need to get root (and the bootloader I guess? I'm not sure what that is, tbh)

Any help would be appreciated & sorry for the long post!

[Request] [i9506] Note 3 camera for marshmellow fully working

i need a fully working note 3 camera for marshmallow with slow motion, surround shot, UHD ....and all the other great features we used to enjoy on lollipop since it is the cam with best quality and compatibility
if it doesn't exist yet, please suggest some good replacements as i'm using a ported S7E ROM which basically uses the S7E camera (not fully compatible with our i9506 and quality is not that good )
Here are some of the apps i found compatible with marshmallow (note4 and s6 cam) but they lack a lot of features unfortunately... it would be great if any one could check them maybe he can add the missing mods : https://mega.nz/#!GUlkUJQK!XEZFIFTd3...2Tj9j3dvLbsKQ4

How to stop actual location from leaking in Marshmellow and beyond

Using mock mock gps and the app of your choice, spoofing GPS is quite easy. Is there any known fix for the leaking of actual location? Version 5.x does not have this issue. Killing the Fusion location service does not fix it in 6.x

S6 Active 6.0.1 - getting error 505 in play store after OTA update to Marshmellow

After the new update yesterday, I have been getting error 505, specifically with the Zedge app in both google play and amazon store.
I cleared the cache in both google play and services, removed my accounts, restarted, and all that. I still get error 505 with zedge. I had it installed before then uninstalled it, and then the marshmellow update came out. Any ideas?

Note 4 Marshmellow root not working!

So usually I don't have any issues with rooting my phone and all. For some unknown reason i just cant seem to root my Sprint Note 4 phone!

Information:

Phone: Sprint Note 4
Model: SM-N910P
Android Version: 6.0.1
Software Version: N910PVPU4DPE1
Build Number: MMB29M.N910PVPU4DPE1

TWRP Version: twrp-3.0.2-0-tbltespr (Which i successfully managed to install)

I used CF-Auto-Root-trltespr-trltespr-smn910p.tar

I did notice that when i flash my auto-root it says "Finding boot image.....Boot image not found, Aborting" under the Boot image patch.
Any ideas on what it means? I'm at a total loss so anything would help me at this point.

Unlocking the Nvidia K1 Tablet Marshmellow 6.0.1 bootloader?

I have a K1 tablet that I'm trying to unlock the bootloader, but I never seem to be able to load into fastboot mode. I always end up at a "nviboot" menu that leads to reboot, power off, contine to boot, recovery mode, and then, Fastboot. I select this, and then it dumps me back at this menu again. When I am at this menu, fastboot will show my device, but says that there is no permissions.
I have little rooting/bootloader unlocking experience except for my Nexus 7 2012. I might just be missing something, but I can't seem to get into Fastboot mode proper.
I am using linux, so I have adb and fastboot from the repos.
If any one wants more info, I can post it.
