T-mobile Galaxy s4 linux os damaged
I was tinkering with My Linux os (under the hood running underneath the kitkit gui) and I deleted some important files and now the phones not working even when I reflash it with stock firmware. Are there files in linux that do not get reflashed with stock firmware?

Linux Header On Kernel/ Compiling kernel
Hello, I was trying to do pentesting on my device through kali linux 2.0. I successfully installed kali linux via linix deploy ,but i was unable to use reaver as my chipset doesn't support monitor mode. So I tried to use external usb wifi adapter( tplink tl wn 722n, chipset atheros ar9271). I tried to install driver myself but when i gave make command i found this error:
make defconfig-ath9k
root@localhost:/usr/src/backports-3.15-rc1-1# make defconfig-ath9k

RSD Lite for Mac and Linux Flash Stock Motorola Firmware
RSD Lite Tool For Mac and Linux
Attachment 3812978
This tool is designed to flash stock Motorola firmware just like you can with Motorola's program RSD Lite but on Mac and Linux machines.
What it does is looks at the XML files that come with Motorola firmware like the servicefile.xml and the flashfile.xml then coverts them all to fastboot commands it also checks the MD5 of all the firmware files just like rsd lite.
If you want to learn more and see some examples of how this is all done check HERE
Shout out to Liboicl awesome work buddy

PCSX2 on Linux on the Shield. Has this been done?
I'm probably better off testing this myself, but I just needed to ask. Got the idea after seeing the razer edge pro run PCSX2 at full speed. Been thinking of rooting to install Linuxonandroid and then trying to run PCSX2 on that but I think the Shield Tablet might not have enough vram to run it full speed. It's kind of a stretch, so i was also wondering if i managed to install Linux natively on something more powerful like Tegra X1 Shield TV might do the trick. I'm posting this on the Shield Tablet forum because that's what I have to work with for now so a solution for this would be most appreciated, but any insight on running a PS2 emulator properly on an originally-Android device would be greatly appreciated.

Linux on Pixel C : Running ubuntu xenial in a LXC container
Hi guys,
Today i wanted to share with you some of my work to run linux on the pixel C. :D
First of all i'm not responsible for anything, so try this but i can't guarantee that it works for you and that you won't break your tablet (even though normally it should work ;) ).
Secondly this thread is for people who know how to use correctly adb, fastboot and linux console, instructions are not very detailed here, so if you're stuck try a bit to search, you will learn a lot !
So first what is LXC ?
LXC (Linux Containers) is an operating-system-level virtualization method for running multiple isolated Linux systems (containers) on a control host using a single Linux kernel. (wikipedia)
We are gonna use this technology to run ubuntu on Pixel C (we will even be able to access to the GPU drivers in the future, i'm currently working on it)
I developped all of this on DP4, so please update to the lastest android ! (I will give kernel for 6.X devices in the future).
So first, we need a special kernel where cgroups are activated.
Please download an flash my modified XCeed kernel on DP4 :
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bz...mQzeUZTYmlGWFE
Try to see if you can run su in the tablet, otherwise you will have to install supersu.
Now, install busybox so that we have some tools to help us a bit : https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....busybox&hl=fr :)
Download now lxc compiled with PIE support for Pixel C and the ubuntu rootfs (here is a 32bit version, 64bit is also working fine on my tablet :) ) :
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bz...nJBbS1LbGo0MUE
send it to the pixel C :
Now extract the archive in /data
Now run ubuntu and enjoy ! :highfive:
If everything goes well, you will see ubuntu booting ;)
Welcome to Ubuntu 16.04 LTS!

Internet will work out of box if your tablet has a net access, you can install, remove things using apt :)
What is going on for this project :
I'm currently trying to use the GPU drivers using libhybris so that in the future we can run wayland on pixel C and have a fully working linux environnement ! (KDE, gnome)
see here for KDE, we need to port this : http://blog.bshah.in/2016/05/02/plas...w-base-system/
I need help for this (because it's difficult). For this, we will have to patch bionic so that we can use libhybris. All the devs can contribute here :))
If you're happy of this work and you want to have more detailed instructions please pay me a beer ! Because developing for Pixel C is time consuming ;)

How to unlock the Shield Tablet/K1 bootloader on Linux.
I just spent several hours wasting time, so I want to make this guide to help other people so that they don't have to.
You may want to backup your data, as unlocking the bootloader will erase all user data&apps. A good backup tool is Helium Backup. Find it on the Play store. The free version is fine.
First
Install adb and fastboot from the repos. You won't need the drivers if you are using Linux.
SecondOptional
Enable USB debugging. This isn't required, but can speed up the next step.
Third
Boot tablet into bootloader mode. This can be done two different ways.
A
Power off the tablet in any way. Then, press and hold power+volume_down. When the screen turns on, you can release then.
B
If you enabled USB debugging, then connect your tablet to your pc and authorize the computer. Then, open a terminal and type:
This will reboot the device to the bootloader.
Fourth
Make sure that fastboot has recongized your device by typing:
This is where the problem can happen. If you don't sudo the command, it will show a device with "no perms." That can be rather confusing. If you try to use fastboot for anything else, it will show "waiting for device."
Fifth
Now type
There will be a choice on the device to unlock the bootloader or to leave it locked. Navigate to the unlock and select it. THIS WILL ERASE ALL DATA ON THE DEVICE.
Sixth
You should be at the bootloader menu. It should say: Device-Unlocked
You should be finished.
DISCLAIMER
I am not responsible if this breaks your tab. If your tab does break, I might be able to help you. By following this guide, you are agreeing that I cannot be held responsible for anything that happens. Unless your bootloader unlocks. I might could be help repsonsible for that.
