Sound problem when calling solved by custom ROM?

My friend has a problem with his galaxy s4 active. His microphone and speaker work perfectly when testing with music and audio recording. But when calling someone the speaker is dead silent and the other person can't hear him. I saw a bunch of threads where they reheat the audio IC and so on. He is running android 5.0.1. Now my question is: is this a software problem and can it be fixed by flashing CM? Thanks for any and all replies.

Edit: If you're wondering I know how to flash custom ROMs and have a lot of experience doing that.

Enable wifi calling on tmobile

I'm using a Verizon branded s6 and aside from the steady bars I use to have everything seems to function properly I'm curious is it possible to enable wifi calling on this phone? Everything I place a call I drop from 4glte to 3g side note what's this video calling thing I see ? I don't know if it's samsung or Verizon only.

[Q] Is it possible to enable Wi-Fi Calling with root?

I purchased a Vodafone branded S7 Edge through Carphone Warehouse and after much torturous twoing a throwing with their customer service have now been told that I can't get wifi calling as my phone wasn't purchased directly from them.
They have enabled Wifi Calling for me on my tariff but I can't even see the option to switch it on when I go to settings/ application/ phone. The only option I can see open to me (as I can't get a signal at my house) is to root the phone to try and enable the feature but wasn't sure if this is possible?

Any help or advise appreciated.

No Video Call & Advanced Calling

Hi,

On my HTC 10 with stock 1.80.401.3 I can't find any settings related to Video Calling and I can't find any option to enable it.
Also I don't have an "Advanced Calling" menu on my Settings section.

Is that normal? I mean, is Europe models stripped of this functionality?

If not how can I enable it?

Also whats the best network mode I should be on to get the fastest data right now im just leaving it on "Global" and using T-Mobiles APN and it seems alright

Native Video Calling outside of AT&T

Can anyone tell me if there's a mod that will let me make a video call to another carrier? I paid outright for my phone and it's now carrier unlocked. I still can't seem to make it happen.

Finally got Root with wifi calling!

Last week I took the plung and rooted my phone. I was on PD8 and followed that video I was seeing around then I went and installed xposed along with my favorite apps for xposed. Didn't realized it until today that wifi calling was a no go and then I saw others were having problems. I ended up doing a factory wipe. Then Using the modified Odin I installed PG1 using the BL, AP, CP, and CSC. I tried once without the CSC but I didn't even have an option for wifi or voice of LTE. So then I tried using all 4 files. From there I ended up using the zip floating around on XDA that says it's for all S7s with QC chips. follow the readme instructions and so far I've still got wifi calling. Wifi calling was the one deal breaker for me and I'm so glad to see it's working now. Before I install Xposed this time I will make a backup with Flashify just in case.

AT&T Video Calling and Advanced Messaging?

Does anyone know if AT&T video calling and advanced messaging work on the HTC 10? You can enable video calling and advanced messaging by changing the following lines in /system/customize/MNSProp/311180.prop:
persist.radio.VT_ENABLE=1
persist.rcs.supported=1
persist.radio.VT_HYBRID_ENABLE=1

I don't know anyone with an Android phone on AT&T which supports video calling or advanced messaging so I haven't been able to test if they actually work. If you would like to help me out please PM me.

Wifi calling for T-Mobile?

Has anyone tried getting Wifi calling for T-Mobile to work? It stinks that my Nexus 6 (which I bought via Verizon) works just fine with wifi calling for T-Mobile after I switched, yet so far, the G4 (also Motorola) doesn't seem to work.

Bluetooth calling is slow to wake phone.

I've been having a weird issue since I bought my 5X. When I make a call via my car's audio system (VW CC), it takes a long time and says "Call failed", but then will connect shortly after sometimes. I noticed if I unlock the phone via finger print, right after initiating the call, it works fine. So it seems bluetooth is not waking the phone to make the call in a timely manner? Anyone else having a similar issue? Thanks.

Advanced Calling and WiFi Calling won't enable

Rooted G900V with MM 6.0.1. Trying to enable Advanced Calling and I get the message that it is already enabled on my line and to power off and back on my device. Still doesn't work. Is this just a known issue with a rooted device or is there some trick to get it working? I saw a post about toggling Global to LTE and I'm trying that and so far, I have a status that says upgrade in progress and you will receive a message shortly when upgrading complete but things have not progressed from there (so far).

way to use multiple phone calling applications?

so i make international phone calls pretty regularly, to this end i use an app that gives me incredibly cheap calling rates.

however if i used this app as default it would also cost me to make phone calls locally. is there a way through an app or mod to have the regular phone app be the default for local calls and another app be the default for international calls?

N920P No Hotspot, No WiFi Calling No boot animation... Tried ALL posted but no solved

I have the next problem with a Sprint Galaxy Note 5 N920P. I know the text is large but I wanted to try to explain all as well as possible to avoid confusions

The phone does not have the next native features and or native apps:

- missing Hotspot and Tethering feature from the menu settings

- missing WiFi Calling feature (is not important for me, however is missing)

- missing Sprint Bloatware: Sprint Zone app, Sprint Fun & Games. I tried to install the Sprint Zone apk but no luck, there is no way to get the apk run or work, when try to install it there is an error and no open.

- missing the Sprint boot animation (is not important for me, however is missing). in the boot only is shown the Samsung logo/animation as an international version of note 5 (Example: N920i, N920G...). The Sprint boot logo/animation is not shown neither running stock Android LP ROM nor stock Android MM ROM. Sprint boot logo never seen in this phone.

the main and most important feature I really need is the Hotspot, but native Samsung Hotspot as all others Sprint Note 5, not a 3rd party app.

The next are all I have tried with no luck:

- dialing ##RTN# = ##786# entering the MSL and erasing/wiping to "get all recovered as stock" but no luck. doing that and still no boot animation, no hotspot native app etc. the phone make a kind of wipe or reset but nothing come back as others posts says.

- dialing ##RCRTN# = ##72786#. again the phone make kind of wipe or reset but nothing come back as others posts says.

- dialing ##update# and others codes like this and nothing.

- flashing 5 different Stock Tar file downloaded from SamMobile and XDA (2 of Android 5.1.1 and 3 of Android 6.0.1). Under Odin options checking the following: Auto Reboot, F. Reset Time, Nand Erase All, Phone EFS Clear, and RTN for Sprint and some seconds after flash the ROMs the phone shows the RTN erase/wipe/rest, then doing this reset process but still nothing of I need come back as should and as others tell work for them.

- installing nova launcher that in other post say it can create shortcuts/toggles for some of these missing features but no luck, can't find the way to make a shortcut to go to the Hotspot.

- installing Power Toggles app from Play Store witch is a widgets that you can create toggles/shortcuts that are missing in any Sprint Note 5 from navigation panel. We have to remember even in a Sprint Note 5 running normal with all its stock features we don't have some toggles on the navigation panel like Mobile Data on/off toggle and Hotspot on/off toggle. for example, the Verizon Note 5 has these stock toggles but for some reason Sprint decided not to keep these toggle in any Note 5, S6 Plus, Note Edge, etc. Well, with Power Toggles app (free from play store) you can add shortcuts/toggles for some important features like Hotspot and Mobile Data etc. but when is installed in the note 5 we are talking about and try to go to Hotspot, the phone goes to the native Hotspot app but all is blank so there is no way to turn the Hotspot On or Off nor change the network name nor change the password because nothing of that is there, all is missing and only is showing a blank window only saying Hotspot on top and nothing else. I will upload a capture to understand better this.

- other thing tried is to install a MOAR custom ROM (Android LP 5.1.1 OK3) (Using TWRP Recovery etc etc) and when the ROM is installed still there isn't the missing features in the menu settings as should but, but in the navigation panel there is the Hotspot togle to go to the Samsung native/stock Hotspot app/feature and at this time the app shows all as normal showing the native stock Samsung Hotspot as should (being able to modify network name, password, turn it on/off and all as normal). Now with MOAR ROM the Hotspot appears to work but going through the toggle that MOAR adds to the navigation panel because still no shortcut from menu settings. the menu settings keeps exactly as with the stock ROM. the problem here is even being able to access to the stock Hostspot, I need a stock ROM running on the phone and other big problem is the phone lose the GSM SIM Card Unlock. However, I repeat what I need is to work in a stock ROM as just received from the factory.

- trying to install the MOAR MM 6.0.1 custom ROM again recovering the feature to be able to go to the Hotspot native Samsung app through the navigation panel where MOAR adds the Hotspot toggle (again, a feature missing in ALL stock sprint note 5 but as a custom ROM, the developer decided to recover these important features). After be installed, the phone is able to go to the Hotspot as should being able to turn it on/off, change Hotspot network name, password, etc. but also, again the phone is missing the GSM Unlock that for the moment only can be done running Android 5.1.1.

Other important detail. Days ago I contacted to freeza XDA developer and he had not this model but he told me the next: "it sounds like the CSC isn't applying correctly". In Odin I see a button called CSC but never used. always used the AP/PDA option/button to flash any ROM.

Important note: the stock ROMs downloaded from sammobile have been tested with other Sprint Note 5 and all of them work as should this other sprint note 5 I has here to test the differences. this other Note 5 has all its normal features, toggles, shortcuts, boot animation, sprint apps, etc. all as stock, nothing missing.

I hope someone here can help me with this.

Thank you
