Old Phone needs new ROM

Hello everyone who is going to read this. So I have this old HTC M7 (Att and unlocked) that I need to put a new ROM on. However it has been about 3 years since I have done this. I moved to Germany a couple years ago, got a phone here and decided against messing with anything at the time. Well bad things happened with water and now I need to use my old phone.

I am not sure what kind of info will be needed but I will give as much now as I can from the "About Phone"

CyanogenMod version 11.0 installerXNPQ32

Android Version 4.4.4

Build Number cm_m7-userdebug 4.4.4 KTU84Q InstallerXNPQ32P

The phone was recently wiped and had some random apps put on just to be used for games or whatever but now I need it as a phone.

What I basically want to do is flash a new ROM that is more stable. However I have no idea on how to do that and the way I did it before is not a good way to do it now? Honestly I wouldn't care but my plan isn't due for renew until March. Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated and if I have posted this in the wrong area I am terribly sorry.

Noob needs help Rooting his phone

I my first smart phone was the galaxy s4. I rooted that one with no problem after only researching for a couple hours and following simple YouTube tutorials, but that phone has lived too long.

I have recently gotten a Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 5 model number SM-N920P. It is running stock Android 6.01. I would like to root my phone to have the full access i once had to full back ups, easy controller support etc. I have looked around for a few days now and can not find a tutorial to root with the sprint variant on the newest OS. Most are on Lollipop and I read a lot of people bricking their phones. Any help would be appreciated.

Device doesn't boot up because it needs a password?

i already thank you for all answers. There's a big problem with my device.

It's an OnePlus 3 with the MarshROM. Everything worked completely fine until i wanted to install SuperSU via recovery. It showed up that it needs a password. But i never did this password! It's none of my known passwords, so what should i do now?

Hiya I got a tmobile l90 d415 Its software is on d41520c 5.0.2 an so far its rooted but i think i need to unlock the bootloader an maybe install a custom rom. Im just not sure about which process to unlock my bootloader. Thank you everyone on xda for supporting this cool phone! :)

Google play store needs app/game test kitchen who votes yes?

I recently thought to save the incompatible device issue in play store why don't they just make a website and play store app section called test or test kitchen,this would mean people could test the app/game in order to see if it runs on their device,meaning eg.shield android tv owners and other users of certain devices and os's can see if the apps and games run or not with given compatible next to the games and apps,then all purchases that didn't work before as they can't be installed can be tested to see if they run,and refunded if they buy something that doesn't run,who votes yes to this I'm interested to see the results.:laugh:
