Looking for a Good Android Auto Head Unit

Hey Everyone!
I'm looking for a good, reasonably priced, double-din head unit that supports Android Auto for my 1995 Volvo 850 Turbo and am looking for some advice/suggestions.

All the car audio sites (Crutchfield, etc.) show that you can't install a double-din in the 850, but that's only due to two small plastic lips in the console from the original stereo that can easily be removed with a dremel.

I was looking at the JBL CP100, but that still isn't available yet (for who knows how long). I would like to get something with a reasonably modern feature-set and UI, and I've generally had good experiences with standard Kenwood receivers (I currently have a KDC-BT562U installed), but I'm not particularly picky.

I have an Xperia Z5 so Android Auto is a must (obviously), but also having Apple CarPlay functionality could be useful as I sometimes share the car with iPhone users, as long as it doesn't add on to the cost. Also, having a good standard Bluetooth connection option for relatively short drives that wouldn't require the full AA experience, but having the ability to just listen to music and make/receive phone calls is important.

I'm looking for something below around 0, but if that's not possible, I would like the get the least-expensive product that's not too much of a compromise.

Any input would be appreciated as I (obviously) have pretty much zero understanding of car-related things.

Thanks-in-advance!
Cheers,
4Strings

Good kernels for N6? I need smooth, fast performance

I'm on Pure Nexus at the moment, latest version. I'm running elementalX, and I'm NOT satisfied with this phone. This device lags continuously, it often get very hot, and some games lag badly, like for instance Pokémon go. So, what is a good kernel that I can try to have a smooth performance without lags? Or maybe I should set elementalx in a certain way?

[QUESTION] Good Lock APK for Kitkat

ohayo! I've been searching around and found out about the Good Lock apk, an app found on the Galaxy Apps store made exclusively for Android 6.0

How hard it could be to adapt it and make it work with KitKat on G530H?

OEM or any good charger

Developer Edition compatible with Good for Enterprise

Hi all,

I have a Verizon Note 4 retail edition and everything was working decently until I upgraded to 6.0.1. I upgraded for Doze which I thought would give me better battery life, but instead it is atrocious. I lose 30% overnight for instance. And this is with a clean install.

So what are my options?

1) downgrade to 5.1.1.

2) convert to the Developer Edition which I believe gets rid of bloatware and I could use custom ROMs. However I have to use Good for Enterprise for work, and I believe it detects root, does anyone know if DE is compatible with this application?

Any other options I should consider?

Thank you.

How good is the DAC on this phone with custom roms and V4A

I plan to get this phone refurbished from ebay deals section, how good's the DAC for listening to Music with the lastest official 6.0.1 roms on the verizon one and how good the DAC sound when you use V4A on a custom roms ? I personally listen to chiptune with XMP Mod Player with AudioTechnica ATH-M50X. I am coming from an HP Touchpad with Pac-Rom running V4A on it. Would you say the DAC's decent compared to modern phone like the new HTC 10 or Oneplus 3 ? Thank you.

Are Infinix phones any good?

tl;dr Are Infinix phones reliable?

I've been looking to upgrade my phone from the 2014 Moto G, and I was wondering if anyone has tried Infinix phones?
The have caught my attention considering their extremely low prices for relatively high specs (I'll list the specs below for those of you who haven't even heard of the brand). I am a bit reluctant towards buying a Chinese phone considering their reputation for being of low quality as well as the phone's small battery since MediaTek processors are power hungry.
Here are the specs of the Infinix Zero 3

Anyone know of a good replacement app for Google Photos ?

I really just want an app that shows the "device folder" section from google photos. I'm just not a big fan of Photos layout and how many other menus i have to go to to get to where my device photos are. Anyone know of a good replacement?

Hi there, is the s5 still a good option?

Currently i have a moto g3 (2gb version) and i'm looking for an upgrade that doesn't brake the wallet. I don't like larger phones, most i can tolerate is 5.2 inches and unfourtunately there's not much alternatives out there.
I've found a seller that has "new" (pretty sure they are refurbished) Sm-900m for 162 bucks, i've read the specs, and in my head this sounds as a logical non wallet breaking upgrade from my g3.
However i do want to know your experience with your phones and if you think this is actually a good idea. I care a lot about battery and performance, and i'm not really a fan of touchwiz so, if you could also tell me how stable are the roms currently in development i would thank you very much.
Thanks in advance!

OnePlus 3 Pokemon Go no good

I've been playing with Pokemon Go for a week now and find the OnePlus 3 not very good with Pokemon Go.

Running latest Oxygen OS 3.2.1

The game itself is already buggy and laggy depending on your connection but on the OnePlus 3 it seems more unstable than other phones I have on Tmobile.

I can't blame Tmobile since I've compared Pokemon Go running on other phones using the same service or sim card the OnePlus 3 is the least stable.

My wife uses S6 and it too has issues but not as bad as OnePlus 3. Doesn't freeze or lockup as much.

One the Samsung Note 4 running Kitkat, it seems to work the best. Freezes less often more Pokemon spawns.

I also have a LG G3 running Lollipop also on par with the Note 4 gets less freezes also.

My guess is the OnePlus 3 GPS & radio reception is inferior to plastic Android phones.

One strange thing is that I had the Note 4 tethered to the OnePlus 3 and it seemed to get more Pokemon spawns. Which sort of validates my theory that the Note 4 GPS is superior to the OnePlus 3.

What do you guys think?

Recommendation for a good file manager.

[Q] Any good music player which plays music from DLNA / WiFi (PC) ?

I have music files in PC, and I want to keep them there but want to play through my device. I have turned on sharing for these files and almost all apps on my mobile can detect and play these files but these apps act more like file managers/explorers rather than music players i.e they do not have options to play next track, shuffle, etc. So I am in search for an app which is a music player and its source of data is DLNA (or PC sharing, whatever it is scientifically called). Please recommend me one if you know.

A way to dual boot S7 Edge to run Good for Enterprise?

Here's my situation. I have a stock rooted S7 Edge but I need to use Good for Enterprise and my employer does not allow root on their Good policy. I have toyed with trying to hide it but it doesn't seem that there is a reliable way. My only option appears to be to load another stock rom via dual boot and to run good from that.

Does anyone know if this is possible - I have searched a lot.

Also does anyone know if there's a reliable way to hide root from Good. That would really save me some hassle.

Good Lock and No alerts during game

Hi, I have recently installed Good Lock application on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the "No alerts during game" in the game launcher does not seems to be working. I still receive pop up message when I am in game.

However, if I didn't use the Good Lock application, the "No alerts during game" work correctly.

Is there any way to use the Good Lock and "No alerts during game" together? Thanks.
