[HELP] Rooting Sm-g920f

Hi, all.

How do I root my Galaxy S6 with the build number MMB29k.G920FXXDPF1?

I've search a few places and still come up trumps.
I've also tried numerous apps that promise to root, but always fail to root my device.

I have the international Galaxy S6 Sm-G920F.

Thanks a lot.
Paul.

Sent from my SM-G920F using XDA-Developers mobile app

SM-G920F: LED with no function

Hi,
i have a samsung galaxy s6 (sm-g920f). few weeks ago i updated to android 6.0.1 (G920FXXU3DPDP_G920FDBT3DPD1_DBT) and rooted my phone with CF-autoroot. everything seems to be working fine. but when i recieve messages (e.g. whatsapp, mail, facebook), the led-light is not flashing.

in options ->display the led function is activated. also in the apps (e.g. whatsapp) led is activated. but the led is not broken, because when i restart the phone, the blue light is flashing. i also tried light manager but the led isn´t flashing.

i suspect that it is a firmwarw problem, so i have done a factory reset. but no chance. then i installed another firmware (G920FXXU3DPFA_G920FTEF3DPF1_VIA) and made a factory reset. but the same mistake. the led is not flashing when i recieve messages.

did anybody know this problem? any suggestions?

Phone: Samsung Galaxy S6
Model: SM-G920F
FW: G920FXXU3DPFA_G920FTEF3DPF1_VIA
Root: yes / CF-Autoroot

Thanks in advance,
Tim

Deep sleep problem after root on MM, does the patch still work? (SM-G920F)

Hi guys,

So, i want to do a simple task, root my phone and enjoy, but no, that is not possible because Android OS jumps to 30% of battery usage and drains my battery very quickly.

I know that there is a deep sleep patch but does it work on marshmallow? I can't seem to find answer anywhere. Also, i'm a simple kind of user and i don't need custom kernels etc. and i say this because i know that many kernels have the fix integrated but all the popular kernels are EOL so i'd like to stay stock...

Is there a way just to simply root the phone with cf autoroot and not to mess up with kernels etc.? I remember something about build.prop flag in one line that re enables the deep sleep, but also, i cannot find that answer anymore.

Thanks in front...

Any help is appreciated.

Galaxy S6 SM-G920F (6.0.1) stuck on Samsung screen after flashing xposed via TWRP 3.0

Hi everybody, after flashing XposedInstaller_3.0-alpha4.apk onto my Galaxy via TWRP 3.0 im stuck in the Samsung Screen. The only other thing I can get to is Odin mode. Not even factory reset is possible. Also reaching recovery is not possible. Do you guys have any idears?

Do you think It would help if I took it back to stock via Odin?

Best regards

Help Needed SM-G920F

Samsung Galaxy S6 UK, Locked To Vodafone
SM-G920F Android 6.0.1 (I maybe incorrect)

Basically I tried to root my phone and It seems I bodged it.
I used a guide called 'Root Galaxy S6 G920I and S6 Edge G925I on Marshmallow and Install TWRP' on Droidviews. (I cant post links due to me being a new member)
After completing all the steps my phone was stuck in an endless loading screen loop.
I then used the backup I created via the guide.
After that was completed I restarted my phone and got a message in red text in the top left hand corner of the screen saying 'recovery is not seandroid enhancing'.
I then started to panic as this is a new phone so I did a factory reset on the device.
This changed nothing.
Please help me as at this time my phone is bricked.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(I know about a potential method via Odin but I dont want to do anything without specific help in case I don any more damage)

SM-G920F showing wrong model number after failed update!

Hi,
I recently got a SM-G920F off the internet and noticed it was running android v.5. There was no update option available in the usual place so I tried to update to Marshmallow manually with Odin and it failed during the update process.

I've now noticed that even in Odin Mode, it's showing as a SM-G920P. As a result of this, only US (SM-G920P) firmware installs (everything else just fails) which isn't any use as I'm in the UK! I've tried to reset using smartswitch but it doesn't even recognise the serial number. The back of the phone states it is a SM-G920F and I was previously able to download apps to confirm that the phone isn't a fake.

Has anyone else had this problem? I think I just need to configure the phone to be a SM-G920F again and it will take the firmware but I can't find a way. Have tried editing the prop.build file in /system but it's still saying it's a G920P in Odin mode. Any ideas/help would be appreciated.

Cheers.
