Newbie. Questions about my Samsung Galaxy Tab E lite tablet

Hi, everyone. I'm new to the forums and am looking for a little insight on my device. I've been interested in rooting android devices for a long time and have successfully done so on a few occasions. I've used poot, kinoroot, androot and some others that escape me right now.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab E lite...
Model: SM-T113
Android Version: 4.4.4

I've accessed the developer options and enabled USB debugging...

It's unrooted right now... I have a pc laptop to do USB debugging if need be...

What i'm wanting to do guys is get the most out of my tablet by rooting and flashing for better ROM, this way I can learn and at the same time optimize my device to its fullest potential while also engaging in this new online community. The only problem I have is the reason I just cant out-right experiment with my tablet and which is why I've come here to you tech-gurus for help...
I CANNOT brick my tablet. It was a gift from my brother and the first one he bought me I accidently bricked by not doing enough research while trying to root it. He returned it and bought me an even nicer one then told me specifically not to try and ROOT it...
haha.. he should've known better.

So if anyone has an advice or keen insight on all the necessary steps to backing it up, rooting it, and maybe even doing whatever it takes to flash more ROM... I would highly appreciate it. I apologize if this new thread angers anyone.
Many thanks and I look forward to learning from you all.

HTC One M9 Newbie questions

Hi All! Its my first time trying out an HTC Device so I'm pretty much new when it comes to customizing it. I just have a few questions and maybe you guys could help me out! Thanks :)

1) Does Boomsound get removed if you install a third-party Audio software like Viper4Android since Viper4Android has its dedicated "Phone Speaker" tab where you can customize the phone speaker effects and stuff.

2) What is the difference of Unlocked Bootloader and S-off? Does your bootloader have to be unlocked to make S-off?

3) How do you flash stock firmwares in case you get bootloop while flashing custom roms? ( In Sony devices we have Flashtool and the firmware files are .ftf )

That's pretty much it! Thanks and hoping you could help me out. :) And is there a thread on how to root, unlock BL and upgrade CID to SuperCid? Many thanks

Newbie Help - Multiple Users

Hey Guys

I picked up a Huawei mediapad t1 7.0 today as part of a package deal and I have decided to give it to my son as a present so he lets go of mine and my wifes :o

I have rooted the device successfully but now I am having trouble with Xposed and installing the multi users app. I have an error on the modules page advising me that Xposed is currently not active and I should install the framework and reboot.

On the framework screen the option to install is greyed out and there is an error "Xposed is not (yet) compatible wuth Android SDK version 19 or your processor architecture (armeabi-v7a).

I have looked for a soloution to this issue but im hitting a bit of a wall. Im a novice user and im only trying to get multiple users so I can lock down the device to stop my son accidentally accessing anything I don't want him to.

Please help
Regards.

Newbie app development help.

Hello guys, this is my first post here in the forum and i'm looking for a very specific answer, hope you can help me.
So I had this idea for an app that could really optimize the way people work here @ my workplace, but the thing is: i know nothing about programming and development :(

The question is: how hard would it be/how long would it take for a complete newbie to develop this app? (description below).

It consists basically in a scheduler & task assignment app. It must be able to:
  • Register two kinds off app users: workers/schedulers (WS) and schedulers only (SO).

  • Create WS subgroups (something like tags or flags so tasks can be assigned to a specific subgroup of WS').

  • Allow WS to create their own daily schedule and share it with all schedulers.

  • Allow SO to have access to all WS' schedules and fill them remotely.

  • Allow SO to auto-assign tasks to the nearest availabe WS of an specific subgroup.

  • Allow both WS and SO to see wich tasks were assigned by each one.

This is the main idea, of course there are some minor changes and details that I need to add, but this is enough to get the main idea.

Waiting for an answer, thank you in advance.

Android Wear Newbie - some (probably simple) questions

So... just got me a Huawei watch and while I love the look and feel, I have some issues/questions/hopes that i figure you guys will know :)
Just for detail, I'm using my watch with a Xperia Z5

1. Is it possible to hide notifications on watch face so that they only appear on swipe up? Failing that, is it possible to at least hide them on the 'deactivated' watch face, only to show when i 'activate it'?

2. When using voice I quite frequently get offline errors, despite being connected according to the phone and main screen - anything I can do here??
Related to this:
How can I stop the phone waking in my pocket when voice does connect? Leads to things happening in my pocket
3. Google Maps
- Can i get Google maps to default to walking?
- Frequently Google maps doesn't navigate properly at all - sticks on recalculating or just fails
- Can I get Google maps voice directions on watch not on phone?

4. I would like to set notifications on my phone to the watch - i've seen this option - but i still want to get the apps I've blocked notifications on the phone... possible?

5. App questions
- Is it possible to hide apps from the list at all? I tried a few of the other launchers but I keep getting Screen Overlay errors so have had to delete...
- Is there a better Agenda app that shows more than just today? (found Agenda Wear but can hardly read anything on that!)
- There seems to be a built in find my phone, but it doesnt work. Downloaded a separate app and it does does - any ideas?
- I seem to have three fitness apps on my writs... Google Fit vs Daily Tracking vs Fitness Tracking - do i need them all? Is one the core in which others are reliant?
- I seem to get a reboot when removing and often adding an app - is this usual?

6. How can I change contacts shown? Seems to be most recent except I alse get the first phonbook entry alphabetically who I rarely contact for some reason

A lot of questions I know - thanks in advance for any insight!!

[Q&A] [Newbie to RN3] Coming to Redmi Note 3 from Redmi 2 Prime

Hi, I am planning to buy the Redmi Note 3 silver (India). Would like to know a few things ---

1. Is the Indian version mostly found to be the SD (snapdragon) one, or the MTK (mediatek) one?
2. How is the development going on? Do we have any MM custom ROM/kernel combinations offering more than or around 8-9 hours of SOT? (with or without features like faux sound / dt2w / etc.)
3. I might sound like a total freeloader, I agree, but would request you to please direct me to a contact point if, for now, specific answers to questions above are unavailable.

Thanks a lot! :) :)

Newbie Question. Please Approved my post.

Hi everyone! I'm new with this things and I found out that this Forum seems to help me with my inquiries. I just flash my Asus Zenfone 2 yesterday to CM 13 ( nightly). I installed Pixel Master right away from the playstore and it seems not compatible with CM13. I found out that you here have a Download link for pixel master that would be better than the playstore's Pixel master. One of the instruction is to flash .zip using TWRP recovery, How do I do that thing? can you help me or give me a link of any tutorial to flash that thing? if so, thanks a lot!

Absolute helpless newbie at rooting/internal data recovery

I've had my phone since may 2015 and never had a problem until last month. I'll save you a long ramble and just say it randomly restarts itself multiple times a day. Until, about 3 days ago it decided to restart (like usual) but this time it factory reset itself.
Now, I don't have an SD card or anything backed up; so ALL of my photos/videos for the last year+ has been completely wiped. I searched high and low for all sorts of android data recovery apps but nothing could find my photos that were deleted from the internal memory. A lot of them said for them to "work better" I'd need a rooted phone. So, at the end of my wits I decided that's what I'm gonna do. Whatever it takes. I've been searching for several days trying to figure out where to even begin but alas nothing. And I truly do not want to brick my phone.
A little about my phone (Spring Samsung Galaxy Note 4)
Software version: N910PVPS4DPE2
Hardware version: N910P.05
Model number: SM-N910P
Android version: 6.0.1

Hopefully that's a sufficient amount of info to point me in the right direction. A step by step guide would be a godsend. If anyone can help me figure this out and recover my lost media I'd be beyond thankful!!

Newbie question for mako (MultiROM with Android M, SailFish & Ubuntu)

Hi Guyz,

I am kind of new for the multirom thing.
I have TWRP installed but I don't see any multirom option in my advanced section.

Can anyone guide me how can I keep Android M(eg. DU/Chroma) + Sailfish OS on my mako.
Can I keep a stable daily driver OS and keep other partition for experimentation with different OS?

For Sailfish OS (Do I have to use the older CM12 snapshot provided on wiki or latest cm13 will work?)
