[Q] Gear Fit 2 / Moto G 2014 - Gear Manager doesn't find watch on Moto G 2014

Hi guys,
I was trying to get the gear fit 2 working with my moto g (2014) (Android 6 resurrection remix from). The Bluetooth settings can see the watch and pair, but the gear manager doesn't find a 'compatible gear'.
I'm using the gear manager for non Samsung phones.
Anyone with this phone was able to connect? Does anyone know a fix for this?

Thanks!
Christian

Moto G 2014 is Totally Unresponsive

I was updating my Moto g2 from kitkat to the latest android version and during the installation, one of my friend hit the power button. Now the phone is totally dead. IT DOESN'T EVEN ENTER THE FASTBOOT MODE(power+vol down). Holding the power button for long time too is doing nothing. It also doesn't respond to charging and usb connect. Any suggestions?

Hello everyone, i'm new here and i'm looking for help. I have unlocked my phone succsesfully and next i have downgraded it from marshmallow to lollipop 5.0.2, all fine. after this, i have accepted to update again lollipop from the moto g message. downloded it ad accepted to restart for installing it. well, at 75% of the installation the phone turned off and never come alive. I have connected to the pc the moto g and it was recognised as "qhsusb_bulk", so i have followed a guide for make it as "Qualcomm..." and it worked untill i have turned off the PC for dinner and now when i plug-in the smartphone i get "device not recognized".
I have serched for help everywhere but i find only guide with a different level of brick.

Is it a permanent brick now, or there is a way to restore it?

Thanks in advance and sorry for my english (is not my first language)

Moto G (2014) Bricked phone Poll

Lenovo/ Motorola's are insisting that they won't provide blank flash files EVER to solve the hard brick problem . They also claim that the problem is not that big, I would to create a thread/poll to find out how many phone's are actually bricked and send the results to them . If you are in this situation please add your name /comments to this thread :). Thanks!

Can I migrate data from a moto x 2014?

So I recently purchased a moto x pure edition after I cracked the screen of my moto x 2014. My 2014 moto x is rooted and is running cm13. If I migrate the data from the 2014 to the pure, will that install any unwanted software on the pure that may void my warranty?
Thanks in advance,
Matt

Cracked moto x 2014 screen

So I joined the I cracked my phone club today. I dropped my moto x and it cracked at the top left, I'm not stupid, I was just suffering from a migraine when it happened (and anybody who's had a migraine feels my pain). Regardless of my body punishing me, I was looking to get my phone repaired. So I looked up how much it would cost and I saw a 5 price tag. I was planning on buying the moto x pure anyway, when the moto z came out, so I want to know what you guys think. Do you think I should get the phone repaired or by the moto x pure. I assume the moto x pure's price will drop when the moto z comes out, do you guys agree with me?
Thanks in advance,
Matt

P. S.
I'm sorry if my grammar was a little off, I have trouble communicating when I get migraines.

[ROM] [WIP] [P600] [TW 5.0.2] [help needed] Iron ROM port for Galaxy Note 10.1 2014

In this Thread I will port the Iron Rom from the Tab S to our Note 2014

Thanks to Tkkg1994 for making the awsome Iron Rom and xluco for the Kernel

Just to be clear: I didn't developed the Iron Rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...z-rom-t2973107) nor the xluco Kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2725193. I just put them together.

Ok, first how you install the Iron Rom: Download the Iron Rom for the T800 and the xluco Kernel for SM-P600 first and put them on external SD Card. After that go into Recovery and wipe EVERYTHING exept external storage. Maby you can also wipe system only but i highly recommend yout to wipe everything. Install now the Iron Rom and DO NOT CHECK REBOOT AFTER THE IRON ROM INSTALLATION, when it has finished, install the xluco kernel. Than do a Reboot. for me, the Rom took some time to boot, and often did some random reboots. when you see the assistant, you have to be very fast, dont configure anything, as I already said before, it will very likely crash after some time.

So, now why I opned this Thread: I'm not a developer, so I cannot do this by myself. Hope I will get some help, I know everybody is waiting for a Lollipop Custom Rom

Help with flashing CM13 to Moto G 2014.

Hi,
I had recently tried to root my Moto G 2014 (running 6.0) so I could install the latest CM13. I followed all the instructions and even came across the red WARNING BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED SCREEN every time I try to reboot the device(status code=3). After installing TWRP 3.0.2.3 and making a backup of current state, I ran into a few bootloops which I managed to fix by flashing it back with a stock as shown on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto...mware-t3018682 (I downloaded both the download links and extracted everything to a single folder before following all the commands)
The SIM wasn't receiving any signal thereafter, which I luckily managed to fix with help from another thread.
My problem is that I've tried to install SuperSU more than a couple of times with different versions and it almost always sends my phone into a bootloop. The few times where I was able to boot into system, it kept giving me the error that the necessary binaries weren't installed and I was not able to do as well, due to the bootloop issue. Working RootChecker told me that my device wasn't rooted properly, which I wasn't surprised at.
Although I read somewhere that rooting isn't necessary to flash a custom ROM like CM13, so I decided to negate SuperSU (I did the unroot everything option on SuperSU and factory reset the device, cleared data, cache and dalvik too) and try flashing it directly instead through TWRP. It kept giving me the Error 7 even after I had removed the assert checks.
Can someone tell me what I did wrong and what can I do to go ahead? Also, is my bootloader completely unlocked? I tried checking *#*#7378423#*#* but nothing happened, so I rebooted into bootloader and used the 'fastboot oem device-info' command but it said that the command was invalid or something.
As of right now, the phone is running 6.0 with all the stock apps. The bootloader unlocked warning still shows up every time I reboot the phone though.

Worth upgrading from Moto X 2014?

Hi,

I know this thread may seem similar and it has already been answered before but those threads are over 5-6 months old so imo they aren't relevant anymore. I have to make a decision ASAP regarding selling my 8 months-old 16GB Moto X 2014 and upgrading to a brand new 32GB Nexus 5X. In the place where I live, the X2 can easily be sold with ~5 (I bought it new for 0). Now, the 32 gig 5X can be bought at ~ 0. So, do you guys think it's worth the extra $$$? Did the 5X improve since the monthly 2016 updates? Does anyone here tested the N Dev Preview 4 on their 5X? Do the past issues (like overheating) are still there? To me, the most "shocking" thing about the 5X is the fact that I tested it in a local store besides my X2 in Geekbench 3 and it was quite of a surprise to see the Moto take the lead in the 2nd attempt. (Both stock, running MM 6.0 - The 5X had the October 1st 2015 security update). After the 2nd run, the 5X's score dipped below the X2's by around 300-500 points. :(

June 2014 Eclipse ROM? Help please

Can someone please help me. I lost my s4 and just replaced it with an s4 from eBay that came w/ the following on it: Build date 3/28/14, nc5, rooted w/towelroot v2, SU, Busy Box but I can't get/download the Eclipse ROM from 06/2014. I know this was 2 years ago, but I loved the Eclipse ROM on my s4 and really need it on my *new* s4.

Can someone please email me a link for this since what I've seen in the original thread (that's "closed") and elsewhere on XDA won't work. If *we're* not supposed to leave our email address, I apologize and ask someone to post a link to what I need.

Thanks a lot!

Android Pay on Moto X 2014

So beside returning to stock, does android pay work on any other ROM?

Moto X 2014 Pure Turns Off When Selecting Recovery in Bootloader

I have a Moto X 2014 Pure that I was trying to root. I said to myself, why not install TWRP? So I flashed TWRP, it gave me 'mismatched partition sizes (recovery)', but according to some other sources, that was normal. I tried to reboot into recovery, it gave me the stock recovery. I said, huh, weird, I'll flash it again. And after that, I was unable to get into recovery at all. Bootloader still works, and the phone can still boot normally, it just appears that the recovery is GONE. If I select "Recovery" from bootloader, it just turns off (seems to at least). I am running Marshmallow 6.0 on the Moto X, and I'm having a hard time finding a stock recovery for it. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Moto X 2014 apps for Custom ROM?

If I install a custom Rom for my Moto X 2014 (like CM), can I install MOTO app for voice commands, Active Notificaciones and also the features for turn on the flashlight or shake to open the camera?
I saw a video with a custom rom with this features! I believe the name was 'Stock for Moto X 2014', but I want install the next version, Nougat, when developers make it.
