How to add soft keys without crash?

So I remember on my Note 4 and S6, I add the qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 on my build prop and it never really worked on lollipop or marshmallow. Everytime I rebooted, my phone would crash and just keeps giving an error over and over...everytime I pressed ok.

I'm sure the devs know how to fix this since the custom roms for my Note 4 got rid of the error awhile back

if you still using stock rom 4.2.2 ,great news you can now enable soft keys on your phone

all what we need is
1-moded system ui flashable zip
2-xperai/AOSP navabar buttons apk
3-rooted device with exposed installed
4-root explorer or other root browser
at first flash the systemuu.zip file I provided through recovery(this is themed system ui to look like S5 thx to vadakkeveetil who provide it

by then I moded the system ui to show navigation bar
after glashing the system ui open your root explorer and gi to system>build prop ,right click on it and choose open with text editor and paste that line and save
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0

install xperia /Aosp navabar button apk and allow it to work through exposed then restart your phone

after you reboot ,open xperia /aosp navabar button and un tick menu and search and arrange button as you like,change button hight to about 60% or what you like
now enjoy your navigation bar on stock rom

another thing>in my phone I changed dpi to 235 instead of 240 you can do that through editing build prop and change
ro.sf.lcd_density=235

Cannot add soft keys to touchwiz mm

Hi, I have a galaxy a8(sm-a800f) running stock rooted marshmallow. I want to add soft keys to it by editing the build.prop file and adding 'qemu.hw.mainkeys=0' to it. But it is not working after I reboot my device.. nothing changes and I still have no soft keys. What should I do?

Samsung Galaxy s7 edge case that cover capacitive keys

Hi to everyone... Two weeks ago I manage to break down my s7 edge screen but only in the place where capacitive keys are...
Everything works great and i was wondering if there is a case that has the ability to cover all the "silver" place around capacitive keys and capacitive keys.. I had try 3 TGSP for me was the best solution but all of them has touch sensitivity problem that I can't handle it...

Windows phone 10 on-screen navigation keys

HEy guys, Im new on XDA so please forgive if it sounds stupid. So apparently I am not able to install Custom pfd on my device and I stopped trying. I can uses the resistry ediot though i.e Interop toops beta 1.7 by Gustave. I wanted to know hot to edit the registry so that I could manually enable on screen navigation keys instead of the hardware ones. I use a Nokia Lumia 1320 running windows 10 build 10586.318. Appreciate your replies :) :)

soft keys are not auto hiding

Recently I installed layers theme from play store,after that my soft keys are not hiding automatically. They are aways shown.
Please help me with this problem.
My Phone is rooted.

Hi all, today I tried to take some photos and videos in the pool, the results are awesome but often the soft keys are "touched" form water opening multitasking or stopping videos... Someone can make a mod to lock soft keys while recording? So if someone record a video underwater, the video won't stop until we press the volume buttons! It's just for fun but can be very useful :) thanks to all!

hard reset not working with hardware keys

Hard reset procedure that you had given is not working... I tried it but all it do is vibrate three time...

SWAP back and recent apps keys Marshmallow 6.0.1 (need root)

goto your favorite file explorer. i used root explorer. make sure you have root access and goto /system/usr/keylayout and then make sure you have read write access. then click on generic.kl

change line key 158 to APP_SWITCH
change line key 254 to BACK

make sure to save. reboot. back key should now be on left. recent apps on right. you can still hold your recent apps key which is now on the right to get menu in some apps.

and for my next trick... modding s pen to left side of note 4. just kidding. enjoy.

Any Way To Boot to bootloader with hard keys ?

MY 5x is now in bootloop . i dint find a way to boot it to bootloader as adb is inaccessable from erecovery and non booted phone (i tried restoring update.app on my l22 with emui4.0 and this happend)
Any help is appreciated .
