[Q] T-Mobile Sim not working (all of a sudden!)

Hey All,

The title speaks for itself. My T-mobile sim card all of a sudden stopped registering with my VS980. I had this phone for a while now, but i barely used it because i cracked the screen when i first bought it. I recently fixed the screen, and went ahead and started my flashing process to try out which ROM would suit me best,

The issue happened when i flashed Cloudy G2 3.3 rom. I had no service at all, even after i used the correct APN settings. I figured i'd go to my back up and i'd have service, but still no service even with a stock back up rom.

How can i fix this??

Please someone help!!

All of a sudden I've lost 4G reception! HELP!!

Hi All,

First time poster with an unusual problem. I live in Australia and have a Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900F which is the European model. Up and till recently I was getting Telstra 4G reception. Now all of a sudden I'm only getting constant 3G reception. I have confirmed that there are no 4G network repair/maintenance/upgrade issues in my area. It was only in the last week that I noticed the constant 3G reception so I can't really pinpoint a specific incident or exact date as to when it actually started happening. Here is what I have tried thus far:

Phone restarts, changing network settings and switching to flight mode.
I've confirmed that the phone network is set to LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect).
I have done numerous hard resets, cache wipes, Dalvik cache wipes, drive wipes, etc.
I have rooted and unrooted the phone numerous times.
I have tried several different stock and custom ROMS.
I have tried a 4G SIM cards from other phones.
Tried numerous network switching apps.

NOTHING WORKS!

I always love to tinker with my phone so I'm always looking for ways to improve the phone's performance. It may be that an app (battery improvement/tweaking type apps) I installed somehow changed the network settings but I would have thought a million hard resets would have sorted that all out but apparently not. At the moment I'm running a rooted stock Android 5.1 ROM. I've tried stock Android 4 and 6 as well with no joy.

Here is the unusual thing. When I put in another 4G SIM card into my phone the network still remains on 3G but as soon as I put my SIM card back in 4G magically reappears. It's bizarre. At least I know my phone can still get 4G. You would think that would solve the problem but it doesn't. When I am in an area where the 4G signal is weak the stronger 3G signal kicks in as it is supposed to. When I get back into an area with strong 4G reception the phone remains stuck on 3G and no matter what I do it won't go back to 4G unless I go through the convoluted process described above.

I am all out of ideas. I think I have tried everything possible. I've trawled the web and I appear to be the only person in the world with this problem. I don't know if it is a software or hardware problem with my phone. My SIM card works in other 4G phones so I don't think it is part of the problem. At the end of the day it's not a big deal as 3G is fine but I'm just one of these people that has to fix a problem. Worst case scenario I'll probably upgrade the phone in the next 6 months.

Any suggestions or tips other than what I have listed above would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Bulky :D:D:D

Sudden lags and crash with some low end games...

So... I am using Moto G4 Plus and when i play some low end games for like 10 minutes the game starts to lag so much and then freezes, but just the games... Any ideas? I already removed Xposed and Root but the problem persists... On my old phone I had no problem with the same games and using same Xposed modules and Root apps

Sudden Loss of Signal

I was playing Pokemon GO when an exclamation mark appeared on my signal.

Since then, I haven't been able to send a message or internet connectivity.

I have tried resetting the phone, taking the battery out, removing sim, toggling airplane mode on and off, resetting APNs etc. Nothing. Even checked to see if provider has an outage, nope.

What I noticed is, it's like it's disabled. When you turn on the phone, the exclamation mark is instantly there.

What could be the issue? Sudden exclamation mark when everything was running perfect with no changes.

Note 5 all of a sudden constantly overwriting my Contact info and phone favorites?

I've had my Note 5 since launch and I love it, great device, and it hasn't given me any guff at all until this just started happening about a week ago.

My phone keeps overwriting my contact's pictures, and deleting my favorites in the phone app.... If I reset everything the way I like it within 2 hours my favorites are gone again and the contact's picture is removed.

I haven't made any changes to anything. My contacts are synced from an Exchange server account. Been running BPE5 sideloaded since it was available, no problem. I decided to revert and do the OTA to BPE6 to see if that fixed my problem, but the problem persists.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how to stop it?

Galaxy S4 sudden hardware issue(?)

Hello!

My Samsung Galaxy S4 (i9505) suddenly crashed while I was playing a game and got into a boot loop. The screen goes all sorts of crazy on boot, so I think it's a hardware problem:

There's also a sweet-spot on the screen just above the Samsung S which makes the screen kaleidoscope a bit more when pressed.

I was running a custom ROM (flashed via TWRP), rooted and running Xposed . The ROM was a custom build of vanilla Android 5.1.1 which I found in a ROM thread on here.

I assume some piece of hardware has toasted or come loose. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Might it be repairable?

I look forward to the good news :D

Thanks!

Hey everyone,

I'm facing a weird problem with my phone! it suddenly shuts down and restarts, after restarting and starting normally within couple of minutes (either using it or not) it does the same and goes into bootloop.. however when plugging it to a charger or a PC after restarting, it remains ON and running ok unless I start using it it restarts again and so on.. I hope I made my self clear guys :/
any idea about the problem?
