MicroSD Card stopped

Ok hey guys. Yes I searched. This forum and the internet in general.
So I don't know why but all of a sudden my phone won't recognize my SD Card. It has been working for the month that I have had it but all of a sudden... IDK It is a ScanDisk 32GB SDHC-1 U1 Class 10. Anyways I have unlocked bootloader, rooted, xposed installed on stock operating system. I don't have the May OTA Security update and I flashed the zip since I can't accept OTA updates with modded os and it didn't work. No biggie, I don't really care about the May Security update anyways. This was like 2 weeks ago. Well I get tired of seeing the screen asking for me to download it so two days ago I got the app "DisableService" and in the folder Motorola Update Services, I disabled Ota Service. That's the only thing I have done recently. Anyways last night I pick up my phone and notice some of my apps have disappeared. I look in the storage and usb section and the sd card is there but greyed out. I restarted my phone a couple times, popped the sd card out, cleaned the contacts, and put it back. Nothing. I have everything backed up anyways so I forgot the card and reformatted it but I get this error

Whenever I reinsert it I get the notification "Unsupported ScanDisk SD card" but I can't format it. Maybe the card went bad all of a sudden? It's just weird. So I bought a new MicroSD card-PNY Elite-X 64GB microSDXC UHS-I, U3. It's on the way but I don't like not knowing what went wrong with the one I had. Any suggestions?

microSD card woes

I got my HTC 10 today and during setup I noticed that the phone wouldnt read my Sandisk 64GB SDHC external card. I went to the "storage" settings" and I browsed a file manager to no avail. I couldnt connect to a PC either. I put the card back in the M9 where it was previously and the card popped right up. I formatted the card and went along with the root and rom process thinking maybe new settings would clear the air. No such luck.

Could the new force Encryption policy that i've read a little about be causing my SD card trouble?

No MicroSD option in Twrp 3.0.2.0

So I've been trying to backup my ROM the last few days but when i go to select microsd it says 0mb next to the discs of the card. Has support for the microsd been removed on TWRP? And if not what can I do to fix this? I've tried official and unofficial builds. Still no luck :(

LG 360 Cam Download to MicroSD ?

Hi,
I was on a vacation and used the LG 360 Cam heavily. I was so excited with the pictures & videos I took and tried to download all of them from the cam's microsd and not realize that they were actually downloaded and saved to my internal memory until I got the popup saying that my internal memory is full.

Have been trying to find any setting to change the path to my microsd instead of internal memory but couldn't find one. Already provided my feedback in app store to ask the same thing and also dropped an email to the author but received no response so far.

Is there any of this forum member can advise if we can change the path somehow? Thanks.

Unable to use microSD card for apps .... suggestions?

Hello, i recently come back to the "dark world" of Android purchasing the P9lite.

Nice specs, good bargain for the price.

Then i decided to put a microSD card into it, and with my usuall luck, it seems this feature (of a normal Android 6.0 Phone) is disabled.

Any suggestion / Help ?

Cases With Access To MicroSD

Hi I recently purchased a Diztronic case but I'm finding it a bit annoying having to take the case off to get to the Micro SD tray I know I can use the USB C cable for file transfers but having compared speeds using a USB 3 card reader my overall transfer time reduced by 2.5 hours! So I would like to know if there's any good cases out there that has a cut out or flap for easy Micro SD access?

My computer won't read my microSD

So I bought one of those 64GB Samsung EVO microSD cards, and I wanted to move the files from my previous one (same type of microSD but with 32GB). When I plug the 32GB one into my computer, it asks me what I want my computer to do (e.g. open the files in a folder). However, when I plug in the 64GB microSD, I am not given this prompt, and if I try to open it from "My Computer" it says that it isn't formatted. I tried formatting using the prompt it gave me asking if I wanted to format it, but it said that it couldn't be formatted. So I tried using SDFormatter and it seemed to work fine, but when I tried opening it my computer still said that it wasn't formatted. I formatted it in my phone (LG V10 with T-Mobile, if that's important) after that, but my computer still says that it isn't formatted. Can anyone help?

G3 microSD card frustrations

My G3 (AT&T D850) is almost exactly 2 years old...for the last 3-4 months, it has been very flaky, rebooting spontaneously, sometimes 4-5 times in a row, sometimes only once, and doing it for weeks, and then suddenly not doing it at all for weeks. I ran the phone for a week with the SIM card out, and it did not reboot at all, so, thinking that I had a bad SIM, AT&T replaced it. It rebooted once after starting up with the new SIM, went a couple of days without rebooting, then went back to its flaky reboot cycles. So...probably not a bad SIM.

A week ago , the microSD card seemed to have completely failed (SanDisk Extreme 64GB UHS-I/U3). Phone indicated it had no microSD card. I took the card out, put it in my PC, and it read all the data fine. I made a complete backup of the card, reformatted the card, copied all the data back, put it back in the phone...it worked for about an hour. Tried the formatting as NTFS, so that the phone would force reformat the card, that didn't work. Decided that maybe the card was intermittently bad, bought a Samsung 128GB EVO Select Micro SDXC card. Same results...works for a while, sometimes cycles through a "Removed Card", "Inserted Card" cycle every second or so. Using the phone with no card, it mostly works ok, though it does still reboot occasionally. Went backwards to a Lexar 32GB card...all cards formatted NTFS, phone reformats, etc etc. No change in behavior. Looks like maybe the phone flakiness is a bad microSD card/bad microSD card reader?

I'm at a loss as to what to do next....I have to assume the phone is failing? I've searched here and generally on the web, and can find no posts that indicate a similar problem...I can upgrade soon, but not real excited about any of the available phones these days, and I'm pretty adamant about having a microSD slot and a removable battery, which seriously limits my options. Am I screwed, and I need another phone? Anyone experience anything like this before? I rooted the phone the day I bought it two years ago, so now I'm going to try to reinstall the original image and then upgrade to the Lollipop version of the firmware, but I have a bad feeling that I'm just wasting my time...

Any thoughts on this?

Tab S 10.5 and >128 GB MicroSD Support?

Long time reader, possibly first time poster, and I had the following doubt:

SanDisk released a 200 GB card earlier this year and I saw they recently made 256 GB version and I was wondering if anyone had confirmed that the Galaxy Tab S supports MicroSD greater than 128 GB?

Has anyone tried one of these 200 GB or 256 GB MicroSDs in their Tab S yet?

Thanks in advanced!
