Sony apps for lg g5

Sony Xperia P battery drain.

I have a Sony Xperia P (Sony Xperia P LT22i) mobile and I have some serious draining issues going with it. I've searched this problem on the web but couldn't found the most helpful one. So decided to ask in here. I'm using all the stamina modes, and i have rooted my device just to install greenify, WakeLock Detector. For normal usage I have to charge it 2,3 times per day and i have set it's screen brightness to the lowest and turned off all the functions like WiFi, Mobile data, Bluetooth and all(Sometimes I have to use WiFi but it's for a few minutes).

While charging i can see it's charging rapidly sometimes (eg - from 90% to 100% real quick) and sometimes it drains very quick( it reduces by 20 - 30% within some seconds). :(:(

I have already installed battery related apps like Greenify, Wakelock detector, GSam Battery, Battery Drain, ShutApp, Doze like stuffs. I checked my phone's battery after factory resetting and before installing any apps, and it was also same with the battery drain. :crying:

I just want to know what's the issue with my phone and I would be very grateful if you guys can help with this. :)

Sony Xperia apps

Here its a link with Sony Xperia apps ported to other devices.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/cros...-apps-t3315781

All .zip so has to be flashed in TWRP.

I've tried Album App and Weather widget and they work flawlessly

By the way Album App can cast without problems photos to tv, Google Photos brigs black screen many times to many users.

Thanks Pexomod team

[Flashtool] How to flash the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact with stock ROM [Flashtool]

Over the past couple of days, I have been experiencing various issues with flashtool. Using the internets help and many hours of my time I managed to fix most of these problems that occurred for me. Although there are hundreds of Flashtool step by step instructions, I thought it would be best for an updated and more in depth on what you should be aware of first before clicking "Flash".

Firstly, I do not take responsibility for any device broken or damaged since there is ALWAYS a minute chance of your device bricking.

Lets start, shall we?

Things Needed

Okay to start off.. Yes, this should work with other phones however I am not providing the stock roms for those, it takes a simple google search to find them ie. "Sony Xperia Z5 Stock Rom ftf"

You don't need the latest stock rom either since you can update once the phone is setup depending on if you have access to OTA updates (Over the Air).

Step 1.

Download flashtool if you haven't already. If you have an older version of flashtool, uninstall it and make sure all old files are gone for good and also be sure the new one is fully installed. I prefer to use the magnet link on the website (for torrents) since using uploaded.net takes forever.

Step 2a.

If you're on Windows 8/8.1 then please take note to this specific paragraph, any other OS skip to 2b Windows 8/8.1 like to have its security tight, so they block you from installing drivers with unsigned certificates to "keep your computer from harm" but just go ahead and follow the instructions to allow your computer install these drivers. If the drivers aren't installed correctly, then you won't be flashing anything today :p Okay, go to Settings>General and then click on 'Restart Now' under 'Advanced Startup'.

This will restart your PC. It will then take you to a screen that gives you various options. On Windows 8 you will see 'Troubleshoot' and on Windows 8.1 you will see 'Start-up Settings'. Select either that appears. This will take you to another page that will ask to restart windows in order to use some advanced startup features, just click 'Restart'. If it already takes you to the page without restart, or if your computer just restarted and you're getting the options of what to select, make sure you select 'Disable driver signature enforcement'.

Your computer should now restart with driver signature enforcement disabled. Now, go ahead and carry on with the instructions in 2b!

Step 2b.

Navigate to the 'drivers' folder where you installed Flashtool. If you cant remember where you installed it, the default directory should be in "C:\Flashtool". Open 'Flashtool-drivers.exe' and install:
  • Flashmode Drivers

  • Fastboot Drivers

  • Z5 Compact Device Driver (Or whatever your device is)

Now we have successfully installed the drivers for flashtool and our device! :D

Step 3.

Find the stock rom you downloaded, copy and paste it into your firmwares folder in flashtool. For me, this is in "C:\Users\Matty\.flashTool\firmwares". People have been saying to delete the folders inside the firmwares folder, do not do this as the flash might not work.

Step 4.
Note
If you're running 64bit, I recommend you to not use Flashtool64.exe at first, just use the standard 'Flashtool.exe'. If you dont get an icon on your desktop from the setup, just navigate to the folder in the directory you installed it in, then right click and click send to desktop so you can access it easy :)

Step 5.

Open Flashtool from your newly created shortcut on your desktop. Click the Flash icon, then click Flashmode, then hit Ok. Click your Firmware on the left to start off with. You might have to hit the firmware dropdown until it gets to the actual firmware like so:

If you want to remove all your data, where it says Wipe, hit all the boxes. (APPS_LOG, DIAG, SSD, USERDATA). Then click Flash. You will now see "Preparing files for flashing" on your screen. Be very patient, and in the meantime, turn your phone off ready to enter Flashmode. Make sure your phone is switched off and NOT plugged.

When you see this box come up on your computer, It's probably time to connect the USB to your computer, and enter flashmode on your phone.

Plug the USB into your computer
(TRY USB 2.0 FIRST, SOME REASON NO USB 3.0 PORT WORKED FOR ME+MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAD PROBLEMS WITH USB 3.0 I.E loader.sin errors)

Entering Flash Mode

Hold the Volume Down button and plug the USB cable from your computer into your phone. You should hear the Windows noise it makes to say the device is connected to the PC. If any extra drivers are needed to complete the flash it could take longer for the flash to start. You should then see a constant green light in the top right of your device, gently put it somewhere without unplugging the charger and let Flashtool do the hard work :)

Step 6.

Leave the device for no longer than 30 minutes. However, if you're unsure be safe and leave it for a full hour, go out have a nice brew, do a tap and dance and come back and it should be done. The only reason it would get stuck is because you unplugged the phone during the Flash, or if the cable somewhat died throughout the operation. If so, repeat the instructions in hope your device will be as good as new :)

Flashtool will now let you know when it is done. It will say "Flashing finished, please uplug and start your phone."

If it says that, hooray! You have successfully flashed your phone with stock rom!

If not and you get an error before it even wants to flash, or throughout the process you get an error, post it below and I'll take a look. I'm not very good but I know quite a few errors.

END OF TUTORIAL :)

I just thought I'd help the community out in a way that I can, since I'm bad at like everything else lol.

Peace folks :highfive: :cyclops:

Sony xperia t2 ultra dual unlocking boot loader, installing recovery and rooting

HERE IS THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO UNLOCK THE XPERIA T2 ULTRA DUAL BOOTLOADER AND INSTALLING CUSTOM RECOVERY AND ROOTING and REPAIRING BOOTLOOP PROBLEM , Running in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

STEP 1: UNLOCKING BOOTLOADER

For the safest rooting process, you have to unlock the boot loader of your phone.
For that process, First of all goto: '//developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/unlock-yourboot-loader' (copy-paste w/o quotes) this link and select T2 Ultra Dual and type email ID and Continue ti next step, By verifying your email ID.
Then Follow the Steps below:

A. Install the Android SDK and the device drivers

1. Download and install the Android SDK.

2. If you’re running Windows, you also need to download and install an updated Fastboot driver:'//developer.sonymobile.com/downloads/drivers/fastboot-driver/' ). This is the standard android_winusb.inf-file, with a few lines of code added to enable Fastboot to support Sony & Sony Ericsson devices. Replace the original android_winusb.inf-file with the downloaded file in the usb_driver folder, located in the Android SDK > extras > google folder on your computer. If you can’t find the usb_driver folder, make sure you are running Google USB Driver package revision 4 or higher in your Android SDK. If not, install the Google USB Driver Packager using the Android SDK manager.
Note! If you’re running OSX or Linux, you are not required to install any additional drivers.

3. Change the system path(My Computer>Properties>Advanced>Enviornmental Variables>New) to path.
Ie, sytem variable name: path
Variable value: C:\Users\(UserName)\AppData\Local\Android\sdk1)

To check if ADB is working fine, enable USB debugging mode on you device and connect it to your computer. Now open START.cmd, if Windows prompt, “Run Anyway” the START.cmd file. Now execute the following command:
adb devices
If return the serial number, then you have set it up successfully and are good to go!

4. On your device, turn on USB debugging by going to Settings > Developer options and click to enable USB debugging.
As of Android Jelly Bean 4.2 the Developer options are hidden by default. To enable them tap on Settings > About Phone > Build Version multiple times. Then you will be able to access the Settings > Developer options.

B. Connect to Fastboot

1. Turn off your Xperia™ T2 Ultra Dual.

2. Connect a USB-cable to your computer.

3. On your Xperia™ T2 Ultra Dual, press the Volume up button at the same time as you connect the other end of the USB-cable. For Windows users, when asked for a driver, point to the usb_driver folder where you placed the android_winusb.inf-file, and select the Android Boot loader Interface-file.

4. When your device is connected, open a command window on your computer and go to the platform-tools folder within the Android SDK folder.

5. Enter the following command:

fastboot devices

6. Verify that you get an answer back without any errors.

C. Enter unlock key

WARNING! The command below contains your unlock key. If you perform this step, you will unlock the boot loader. This may void your warranty and/or any warranty from your operator.
1. If you still want to unlock the boot loader of your device, enter the following command:
fastboot -i 0x0fce oem unlock (type your key here)

2. Verify that you get an answer back without any errors.
D. Done!
You have now unlocked the boot loader of your device.

STEP 2: INSTALLING RECOVERY

• Battery: Charge your Xperia t2 ultra to at least 90% so that you wont encounter any battery related issues while flashing this.
• Backup:Backup all your data which includes apps, contacts, photos videos etc everything to computer or any cloud storage as installing philz recovery might erase data on your xperia t2 ultra.
• Download:Download dual recovery for t2 ultra d5322
Copy the image(.img file) to a new folder
Change cmd directory to that folder.
Then
Turn off your phone.

1. Connect the usb cable while holding the volume up key (enter fastboot)

2. On your pc execute this command -
Code:
fastboot flash boot <file-name>

type the downloaded file name.img and hit enter.

3 Once it is complete, disconnect the cable and turn on your phone.

4. To access the recovery :-
TWRP :- Volume Down
CWM :- Camera button
You will get the recovery screen .

STEP 3: DOWNLOADING ROOTED FRIMWARE AND INSTALLING VIA TWRP

Download the Xperia T2 ultra stock rom with root access
rom created using PRFcreator.
you can get it by searching 'Flashable zip file for xperia y2 ultra dual'. I am unable to include the link.

flash rom WITH TWRP RECOVERY.

For that, Copy the downloaded zip to your memory card and insert the card.
Boot in TWRP. Touch on “Wipe” and ensure all are checked except external sd card.
Then move the button to right side to execute wiping process.
Touch on back button and then touch “Install” and navigate to the ‘zip’ file that we’ve copied to sd card.
Select the zip file and install it. Reboot the phone.

Success. You have successfully Unlocked your phone and Installed Custom recovery and Root permissions. You can Install any flashable Zip file via the twrp recovery. But before that, you must clear the dalvic cache and all other caches and internal memory. DO NOT clear the SD card.

[Marshmallow] The Sony AOSP Project supports T2 Ultra for Android 6.

I was reading on how to build an AOSP rom and found that "Tianchi" was listed under the repos for the AOSP.

<project path="device/sony/tianchi" name="device-sony-tianchi" groups="device" remote="sony" revision="master" /> was the repo.

This means you can build an AOSP rom for the T2 Ultra and flash it. You can find the instructions here. I haven't tried it because I don't run Ubuntu but anyone who does should try and test this.
