I'm sorry. I'm a noob and trying my best, but am confused. I unlocked bootloader, flashed TWRP and then SuperSU. I'm able to root my phone, but whenever I go into TWRP, it says the phone is encrypted. I understand that without it the radio won't work. Is there a way around that? I keep people talking about s-off. If I use Sunshine to s-off, will it decrypt my phone and allow the radio to work???

HTC M9 S-Off Help!
Hey,
I'm new to rooting and I am having a really hard time getting my M9 from S-On to S-Off.
I unlocked the phone using the HTCDev website, which worked perfectly.
I tried to use SunShine, my phone passes the pre-test but then the next screen tells me my device is not rooted. It says to try the temproot button below but there is only an Exit button.
I tried to use King Root as well but it was unable to root my M9 either.
I am trying to get the Android Revolution HD rom on my device.
I somehow was able to get TWRP 3.0.2-0 going on the device, so when I enter Recovery Mode the TWRP recovery comes up.
When I try to Install SuperSU 2.76.zip through TWRP, it works but when the phone reboots it constantly loops on startup, I let it loop for 20 minutes with no success.
I tried installing Android_Revolution_HD-One_M9_20.0_9a5ad5.zip which worked but when my phone started up my EFS data was missing so my SIM card was not detected and when I checked my IMEI number it was blank.
So I restored my phone with a backup I made in TWRP before I installed anything, the IMEI number is back and I get cell reception.
From what I have found on other websites and here, it seems like the only way I can gain access to the EFS folder so I can back it up to restore after installing AndroidRev is if I have S-Off.
But I am unable to S-Off without my device being rooted and the only way I have been able to root the device is by installing the AndroidRev.zip which must have SuperSU built in.
I'm running Android version 6.0
I live and purchased the phone in Australia.
Right now I have TWRP as the recovery, the phone is unlocked, S-On and not rooted.
I need to back up my EFS so I can restore it after installing AndroidRev but I can't gain access while in S-On and I cannot find a way to get in without rooting the device which wont work because every time I flash SuperSU my device gets stuck in a start up loop.
The best success I have had is installing AndroidRev through TWRP but it killed my EFS folder.
Hope I've given enough information to help solve this problem, any other info needed I'll post up asap.
Cheers

S-Off affect performance?
I went ahead and did the whole S-Off process recently. Before I did it, Viper Rom ran smooth as butter. not a complaint in the world, then I saw the update and thought I read that I may need to upgrade my firmware, which is a PITA if you aren't S-Off. I didn't read the fine print that it was international (I have the Sprint Variant) and went S-Off. Now everything feels a bit laggy. I've done 3 fresh flashes, reverted to my stock backup image, and went back to the old version of Viper I was on prior to the s-off.
My question is, now that the device knows it is s-off, does it impact the performance? Is it creating logs now for HTC? I feel like if I undo the s-off, I will have wasted the money I just dropped into it. Is there a way to toggle between the 2? Or am I a crazy person? I was going to go ahead and do an RUU as a final attempt to get back the snappiness, but wanted to see if anyone else had some input on the matter.

I am looking for an s-off enabling android 4.2 custom ROM for HTC One
Just looking for this rom, I understand no one wants to develop an old rom, but there would be a good reason, and it seems all the downloads have been deleted. I can't find a 4.2 ROM anywayere. Anyone got an idea for me where I can get a Custom 4.2,,,like a CM 10 or something?

Woke up this morning to find that my phone fell of my nightstand and cracked sometime in the night.

Issues with flashing TWRP on S-Off GPE M8
Every time i flash the latest TWRP for the HTC One M8 GPE on the newest update 6.0.1 June security update, when flashed in fastboot, once it completes, it will automatically boot into twrp, i select the option to allow system modifications, and when i reboot into system it boots just fine, but when booting back into the bootloader, and into TWRP I'm greeted with this screen.
any help would be appreciated, i tried searching the forum, but had no luck finding anyone else with this issue

stuck on white HTC screen, S-off & can get into TWRP
Yesterday I downloaded the TWRP app and attempted to update TWRP via the app. It said the process failed. Later on in the day I rebooted my phone and on reboot I am stuck at the White screen with the HTC logo.
My phone is s-off and I have been running stock verizon KitKat ROM that has been rooted. I have text messages with information I cant afford to lose. I was able to pull my photos off the device using a USB cable, and I am able to get into TWRP and browse the data on the device.
Is there anyway I can flash an RUU or ROM that will NOT DELETE any of the data on my phone so that I can get the phone to boot again?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

[Q] Firmware update & S-OFF
Hi everyone, I currently have an HTC One M7 running Android 4.4.3 on ViperOne 7. H-BOOT is 1.54 and phone is S-OFF. I have a couple of questions regarding firmware update and latest Android versions:
1) Is there an official update from HTC to Marshmallow? I was thinking of unrooting the device and updating to Marshmallow if that is the case. From what I've read the Marshmallow ROMs on xda are not very stable. What's the latest official update for unlocked M7? On the HTC website (http://www.htc.com/us/go/htc-softwar...device-content) it says it's Marshmallow.
2) Can I get S-OFF and update my firmware using a Mac? I could not find a guide specifically for this. I think I am currently on 2.24.401.1.
Thanks!

[CDMA] htc evo 3d 1.40 s-off stuck in bootloop
what i do now i am in trouble
Problem with S-OFF on HBoot 1.54
Hello to everyone!
Iam in big trouble with my htc m7 and I want some to help me here! I know that everything is possible..
The real problem is that when I install CM12.1 rom after a while the phone restart it self and then I loose my IMEI, Baseband version etc. and doesn't work with SIM card.. Yes, all of that information has removed after some time. WHY ?
So I think that I need to get S-OFF to fix this problem or maybe someone will give me better solution ???
The phone has Unlocked bootloader.
I try any method and also with "rumrunner_HTC_0.5.0" to get S-OFF on CM 12.1 installed rom, but gives me error... I try with Guru reset- nope. I try some RUU-nope.
Is there any idea to fix my phone back to stock ?
Also, you can look that my CID is from google, but that is no original because the phone was S-OFF before and someone has mess with trying to install some radio and somehow they loose S-OFF and now has changed CID etc...
But, like I said, If I did not have any problems with loosing my IMEI, Baseband version, then I would be happy!
I will share my information of my phone:

With the help of @Captain_Throwback we got TWRP working enough to root, and @beaups and I got s-off working.
Links, files, directions will be posting this weekend (as long as all testing goes well).
