Do I need to buy new touchscreen for replacing battery?

Hi ,
I have gionee s5.5 mobile phone. Its battery is all dead. I went to service center and he said there is small piece of touch screen which is broken, if we open it by using machine , it might get broken , so its advisable you replace the screen as well. Now, he wants to charge for touch screen.

My touch screen works perfectly fine and I dont see a reason why should i replace it.

i want to ask experienced members here. What should i do? Thats the only way out? I should ask some more repair shops ? If some repair center can only replace my battery without replacing the whole touch screen. That should be awesome.

Thanks

Unable to run android fastboot even after replacing the screen

Hello!
At its OPO I changed the display the frame and battery. Installation went without any problems. Unfortunately, after launching the phone started only Cyanogen Recovery. Display and touch functions entirely without any problems. So I wanted to re-install CM13, but the phone does not run fastboot. You can not run from Cyanogen Recovery or VOL + POWER-UP. The phone always starts to Cyanogen Recovery. I tried this yet through ADB, phone are detected as recovery (so drivers are probably fine), but when you try to fastboot command ends "Device waiting." Thank you in advance for your help and answers.

Replacing headphone jack

Hello,

my headphone jack has recently started to work incorrectly a bit. Sometimes, it detects headphones being jacked in although there are none and thus I cannot talk via the phone (speaker is not working as the phone thinks that headphones are put in). What's more, one of the headphones hardly receives any signal from the jack and just does not play anything, although the headphones are completely okay.

Has anyone of you any experience with replacing the jack? Should I get the phone to some service and let them do the thing or is it doable easily at home? The jack itself is pretty cheap, yet I do do not have the proper screwdrivers or too much experience with so delicate electronics. Screwdrivers are not a problem, yet if it's a rather difficult and risky thing to do, then I'd prefer to give the phone to people who do know what they are doing : )

Also, if anyone has some service manual wherer such replecement is described, I'd appreciate if they shared!

Thanks,
Greg

Nexus 5x won't turn on after replacing screen.

My screen was cracked and the touch was affected so I bought a new screen online and followed a simple video to replace it. Everything went fine but once I removed the battery I noticed a bet of a puncture on one of the sides with no smell so I thought it is external and won't affect the phone. When I put the phone together it did not start. I tried charging it which gave the red blinking led, should mean drained battery, left if there for a while still won't turn on and it was over heated so I removed the charger until it cooled down then tried again with the same observation. I did that a few times and then, the phone does not even show the red blinking led nor heat up.

Does this mean the battery is totally ruined or there could be another problem? and how can I test what is wrong?

Lg g2 problem after replacing battery

Hey, I tried replacing old battery in my lg g2. I followed instructions in one youtubevideo and after some struggled put new one in there and put the phone back together. So i put it to charge and tried to power it on. Boot animation was kinda laggy and when it finally booted it said 0% battery and turned off and immediately went to kinda bootloop when it always boots and says 0% battery and then all again. So it is unable to charge. Tried reconnecting everything few times and nothing, same thing with old battery so thr new one is fine. Found no help on the internet, although i saw few comments under the youtube video with same problems after replacement, but no solution. Anybody knows or got any ideas how to fix this? Thanks for help

Replacing the S6 Battery with S7 Edge Battery

Hello! I saw some guys changing the S6 battery with S7 Edge battery and it worked. This guy got 18h on battery and 4h SOT.
Here is the link: http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=1155869&page=9
You can see first the screenshots on page 9 and on page 10 you can see the actual battery in the phone.
I was wondering how can I open S6 safe, change battery and close it like new?
