rooting galaxy s4 sgh i337

so i am trying to root my galaxy s4 sgh i337 that is the att model. i downloaded odin and activated usb debugging in the developer options. i am using cf auto root. so i select cf autoroot and connect my device. it shows a little blue bar when i connect my device but then when i click run odin stops at setup connection. how long should i have to wait here. and i have installed the latest drivers. uninstalled kies. i am using a brand new official samsung cable. and the device connects to my computer just fine and i can transfer data on it. why does odin get stuck on setup connection.

[Question] ROMs on Bootloader Locked AT&T Galaxy S4 (I337)

I know that a phone with a locked bootloader can only flash Touch-Wiz based ROMs, but can I use ROMs that are made for a different model, like the i9505? (I seriously regret updating to Lollipop. My mom has an unlocked phone, but, it's hers... Guess I will have to buy a Nexus 6).

I was hoping to install a custom rom as well but the way I rooted it last time it soft bricked, I used kingroot

thanks for taking the time to read and maybe respond to my questions. I just bought an unlocked S4 SGH i337 from ebay. While i was trying to manually upgrade it to newest firmware i realized that the firmware installed on it, was an 9500 variant!! I checked the device, it has sgh i337 written all over it, and i downloaded cpu-z and check that indeed, the hardware of the device is this of an sgh i337 but the software that is installed is from 9500. I dont know how and why did the seller do this, but i need your help on how to un-make this monstrosity. In the end i want to install lollipop on the device but i am not sure how should i proceed. My guess is to try to revert to stock, but i am afraid if i am gonna lose the "unlocking". Please leave your valuable inputs on the comments, while i will be searching over the internet and see if i can get a clue. Thank you.

[Q] Two phones randomly stopped booting (I337 and i545)

I'm asking here because I figure the issue is either device specific or bootloader specific (since both of mine have locked bootloaders). Both phones were/are rooted. Neither phone had any system changes before they stopped working. Both phones ran out of battery power then refused to boot afterward (pure black screen, no USB interaction).

Does anyone have an idea of what might be going on here? Both phones went down within one month of each other despite having had completely different usage patterns (one wasn't used at all for most of its life, the other was my primary phone).

Android rom downgrade s4 I337 nb1 to mf3

I have s4 i337 with nb1 rom do you know any way to downgrade to mf3 ..when I try that odin say Fail(auth) ... cause after I went to nb1 I have realy bad connection can you help me plz to solve this
