Chrome force closing after update

hey there,

i noticed that if i update chrome to the latest version (update from today) it just force closes right away.
tried to delete cache and data and disabled xposed but nothing helped.

iam on RR 5.7.1
any ideas what could be the problem? :|

Google Chrome Customization

So i'm pretty sure someone has already made a thread on this however I have been unable to find it. What my question is if it is possible to change the color of chrome. For example when you visit dbrand.com on your phone chrome gets themed black. when you go to the xda website it gets themed orangeish. what i wanna know is if it is possible to change the color permanently. I want to make it black for good. So if anyone has an idea on how to do this or if there is an app for it let me know. Thanks again in advance!

Question about Chrome

So I like using Chrome because I can't stand the stock browser and Firefox basically sucks Ass through a straw. The only thing I hate is the ads and pop ups and crap that I can easily block out with adblock extension on Firefox. I'm having a hard time finding anything that can help me on chrome and I don't want that damn adblock browser for android. Anyone have any tips on how to get rid of ads and pop ups (especially pop ups) in Chrome?

Chrome will not work on data

I have a weird problem. My sister in law is using my older Note 3. On WiFi, everything works as intended. On data network (T-mobile), her Chrome will not load up anything (shows: Something went wrong. Try searching again). But when she runs Speednet, it shows her 3.8Mbs down and 4.02Mbs up. I am not sure if it is a T-mobile problem (data), phone problem (hardware), or Chrome. Any pointers appreciated.

HELP! Android Blu R1 HD Tether blocking Chrome !

I'm using the Blu R1 HD released on Amazon this prime day .
I'm using Foxfi/PDA+ to tether, and no matter what, most sites other than google and facebook are blocked or not serving on Google Chrome on Mac.
Safari is the only workaround where everything is serving just fine.

Anyone know how I can bypass what's blocking Chrome from serving pages through tethering on this phone?
Carrier is SimpleMobile which is a network using Tmobile as the backbone.
Perhaps its not a phone issue, but a carrier issue thats blocking Chrome. Anyone have any advice on how to get Chrome to serve the pages?

Chrome OS RAM usage

I bought a used Dell 3010 Chromebox. It came with 2gb of RAM. The CPU is the Intel Celeron 2955U and it had a 16gb SSD.

I had been using an old Dell 1545 laptop with CloudReady loaded. The old laptop had 4gb of ram, an Intel Core 2 Duo T9500 CPU and 120gb SSD drive. After now using a real Chrome OS system on the Chromebox, I can say that the CloudReady experience is very very similar to the genuine Chrome OS system.

In using the Dell Chromebox, there seemed to be some lags between clicking on a link and display of the webpage.
The Chromebox, with 2gb of RAM, seem to hesitate when starting new operations.

I added another 2gb of RAM to the empty second RAM slot. The Chromebox now has 4gb of RAM. The upgraded Chromebox seems much faster and more responsive. I would recommend upping any Chrome OS system that is upgradeable to at least 4gb of RAM.

Yesterday I learnd about a Chrome utility called "SYSTEM". I loaded it from the Chrome store.

The SYSTEM utility shows RAM usage.

When I open several tabs (2 to 4), the Chrome OS system is using 3gb to 3.5gb with available RAM at 1gb or 0.5gb.

So it appears that a Chromebook/Chromebox needs more than 2gb or will use more than 2gb for simple tasks.

I have ordered a 4gb SODIMM and will see if the RAM usage goes up with 6gb of available RAM (a 2gb SODIMM and a 4gb SODIMM).

Neer chrome Cache files

Recently I started receiving these errors when wiping Cache/Dalvik on TWRP: Error opening 'Data/Data/com.android.chrome/cache/Cache/(insert file names here)
I also get this error whenever I reboot: "There's an internal error problem with your device and it may be unstable until you do a factory data reset. (I fully wiped my device multiple times). Chrome doesn't work either. So I figured that I probably have to place the missing files into the empty cache folder. The problem is, I don't have those files. Can someone please share the missing files with me? The whole Cache folder would be perfect. Thanks in advance :good:

Very weird Google Chrome CSS code bug(?) on OnePlus 3

I have received my OnePlus 3 yesterday (updated today), and I have a weird bug in Google Chrome. My website (www.vry.sexy) has a Webkit CSS animated circle which you should be able to see as soon as you visit the site. Google Chrome on the OnePlus 3 does not display the circle, but Google Chrome on my Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 (2013) displays the circle just fine. Firefox on my OnePlus 3 also displays the circle. The issue was present before and after the latest update.

In the meantime I have also asked two friends with OnePlus 3's to test the website and they both experience the same issue.
I have also tested the site on a Samsung Galaxy Note II, Nexus 5X and Moto G 2nd Gen. It works as expected on everything else.

I have tried the usual clear data, install - uninstall.

I've contacted chat support which suggested a hard reset, which I have done to no avail. Another chat with chat support suggested I do an RMA but I cannot since the OnePlus site will not let me, as there is no way currently to contact support or start an RMA from their site. Their support must be swamped.

I have nevertheless emailed support, but I am not counting on a reply soon.

Does anyone have any idea regarding this issue? Do you experience the same issue?

Desktop User Agent on Chrome

Hello everybody

I have just upgraded from, I believe, Lollipop to Nougat on my Nexus 6. On the old OS I had Chrome use Desktop mode on default. I distinctly remember that I did it with chrome-command-line in /data/local.

I tried that again, I copied the file, removed the .txt and set permissions to 755. I tried rebooting and killing chrome. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it with Titanium Backup. Nothing. about://version still shows android.

Does anybody know how I can beat this damn browser into submission?

[T719] Chrome touch to search: links not being opened

Both latest chrome stable 51.0.2704.81 and beta 52.0.2743.62 are installed on Samsung Galaxy edge+ and Samsung Galaxy tab s2, both with latest android MM 6.0.1

On Tab S2 when I long press to activate "touch to search" I do get a list of results at the bottom BUT the links ARE NOT opened for both stable and beta: I click on any search result and nothing happens.

On Edge+ the links are opened for both stable and beta.

I have restarted Tab S2 in safe mode and tested with chrome stable, to no avail: this proves that it's not due to any third party app installed.

I have tried clearing chrome cache and data, to no avail.
I have tried clearing cache partition from recovery, to no avail.

as it keeps my bookmarks well synchronized through all my devices, I would like to use it..but I hate there isn't the possibility to install any adblock extension.. Maybe there is a way but till now didn't find, do you have any idea?
