Never again am I buying from LG

I bought this device because it was overall very good in all the reviews I read. I read that the charger that came with it didnt support Quick Charge 2.0. That was the first dissapointment. When i received it, it was running Android 6.0. I did an OTA check and no updates were available. I decided to download Lg Bridge and i finally found one update. I bought this device on one condition, to avoid LG UX 4.0. And guess what, my phone was part of an ever growing crowd of people who didnt have the eu bootloader! I felt like I was smacked in the face. I searched the internet for more info and my fears were confirmed. Ever since that i vowed to never buy from LG again. Android is about Freedom and there is none of that on the LG G4. European market bias confirmed:crying:. Months after the discovery I had witnessed the scariest thing ever, I was listening to some music with my LG earphones plugged in. And suddenly i couldnt wake the damned thing anymore but when i touched the screen i could hear typing sounds, I had to pull the battery out. The battery life on the thing was mediocre at best, the screen never lived up the my expectations, the phone gets dangerously hot when i use snapchat. The only thing going for the LG G4 is its camera which was probably the best in 2015. I simply cannot stand the lag on the phone anymore and I am searching for other phones. Im not that kind of person who spends 600 euros on a phone. Then the Oneplus 3 showed and for 400 euro i get a phone 2 times as powerful, dash charging, an UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER and a premium design. Whats more Oneplus actually tries to fix its phones and released tons of fxes for the OP2. Im pretty sure the phone will get Android Nougat even if it takes a while(after witnessing what speedy updates meant on the LG G4 I would prefer slow and steady progress). The only thing the oneplus loses in is the camera department which will improve. Im tempted to wait for the 2016 Nexuses as they will have the best Android experience as well as support for Daydream vr. Ive also checked out the ugly zenfone 3 deluxe which will cost much more than 400 euro. The Axon 7 is also tempting but im not sure if the 6gb version will come out, the bootloader seems to be locked for now(check out the devices forum) So guys should i wait for the more expensive Nexus by HTC or look out for the OP3 and Axon 7?

Thinking of selling your LG G4 and buying a One Plus 3 ?

I recently purchased a OP3 and like most people on here have had many phones before it but the phone I loved the most and still own is the LG G4.

Using both the OP3 and G4 at the moment and it's really hard to decide between them. Both have pros and cons !

If your in the same boat as me i would love to hear from you.

If your a G4 owner and want to ask me some questions please feel free to comment and yes the camera is actually quite good which makes it an even more difficult choice

Questions before buying unlocked phone

Hi,

I'm looking into buying a Z5 Compact unlocked since I don't want something 5 inches or bigger.

I'm hoping to not install custom roms, at least not until Sony stops supporting it.

I've got a few questions :
Will I be able to get the stock rom updates from Sony or manually install them (without unlocking the bootloader)? My carrier doesn't sell the Z5 or Z5 Compact so I doubt I will receive updates from it.
I have read a few threads that makes me worried about the phone. People seems to say it's sluggish and the camera app takes a while to start. Is it working better on the latest stock rom?
Is the stock rom good or should I really look into flashing a custom rom?

Would you guys recommend another Android phone? I would like a compact phone that can last me for a good 3 years, maybe a little more. Right now I own a Nexus 4 that is a little over 3 years old and while it still working rather well it is starting to show signs of its age (like the battery that doesn't last for very long anymore and the phone sometimes struggle running the latest games...)

Thanks

Who are you buying you axon 7 from?

I am curious where all of you are buying your axon 7 from. I preordered on Amazon ( ion gold). I know there are deals elsewhere that give freebies when buying the axon 7. I just prefer Amazon. How about you all?

Is the z5C still worth buying?

The z5c came out almost 1 year ago, do you guys think the z5c is still worth buying?
What do you guys think? If no, what would you consider buying, considering the z5c as first option?

Question about buying a new Nexus 6

Hi guys. Question, I am about to purchase an "unlocked" New 6. Seller says it is ATT and he will include an unlock code. Doesn't every nexus come unlocked? I thought if I simply factory reset without a sim in it it will just default to an unlocked phone... Any help on this would be appreciated. Reason is I can buy it with the factory stickers and screen cover still on it for 0. I think that's a great deal.

Lg g4 Worth buying today?

Hey everyone.
I wanna buy my wife a phone under 400$. At 370$ i have the g4. At 280$ i have the g3. All the Samsung phones are much higher and provide low level hardware at the same price.
I thought ibuy the g3 as it is very cheap but satisfying phone...

But i am wondering if the g4 today don't have the bootloop issue...
If I'll buy the g4 today, i won't suffer from this issue?

Thanks.

Buying an S2 in UK advice needed

Hi Everyone

My last tablet has gone tits up, an Asus Nexus 7 so I'm looking for a new one. I feel the galaxy S2 is a good upgrade.

Just after abit of advice, been reading that there is 2 processor variants. Does this apply to the UK version, if so what should I be on the lookout for?

Also I had my nexus 7 rooted, can't the galaxy S2 be rooted?

Thanks for you time and thank you in advance for your advice!

Thinking of buying it - a couple of questions

I was always a dual user of both iOS and Android, but when the iPhone 6 came out, I decided to opt for the iPhone 6 Plus and use it primarily and gave my HTC M8 to my mother. I must say I had an amazing experience with HTC, using both the M7 and M8 consecutively. Recently I've been experiencing issues with the iPhone and the 6S does not really interest me, so I was thinking of going back to Android. The options I am looking at are the S7 Edge and HTC 10.

Since I've had a great experience with HTC, I thought I would go for the 10 but I read a lot of mixed reviews about it and from the looks department, it looks really similar to my M8 so it won't feel much different, and I believe HTC Sense has not been overhauled recently so it's going to feel almost exactly the same. I had horrible experiences with both the Galaxy S3 and S5, the latter being the WORST device I've ever used in my life (and I've used so many), which is why I am scared about going for the S7 Edge.

My experience with the S5 started well, but gradually kept getting worse and worse until it was time to give it up - it had the Exynos (not sure of the spelling) processor, so perhaps that is why? But I've always found TouchWiz to be quite laggy compared to stock Android, for example. I have read good reviews about the S7 Edge, however, and I have a couple of questions before going ahead and buying it:

1) How is TouchWiz nowadays? Is it smooth and snappy or would I need install custom ROMs and such? I really love custom ROMs and changing it up every now and then so I won't have problems with that.

2) Is there a noticeable difference between the Snapdragon and the Exynos? On the S5, the latter was NOT supported by developers at all, so it is the same case here or not?

3) Samsung seems to have many variants of the S7, but to my understanding there are two S7 Edge variants, one with a dual-sim (DUOS) and one with just one, so is that true? And if so, are they both supported by developers or just one of them?

4) How is your overall experience with the device so far? And is the S8 possibly coming out soon? I wouldn't mind waiting if it's going to be released very soon.

Thank you for your time.

p.s. I recently purchased a Moto 360 2nd gen smart watch which I absolutely watch and is one of the main reasons I want an Android device because its iOS support is horrendous; is the S7 Edge compatible with the Moto 360 fine? Or is the dependability solely relying on the Android Wear app itself rather than the actual device?

Buying a Nexus 9 for my son

Hello everyone, I started looking into a replacement tablet for my original Asus TF101. I really don't use the tablet much so it will be primarily used by my 5 year old son for educational games, reading, etc. The TF101 is 5 years old and even though it stood up to years of abuse my two sons (3y/o and 5y/o) put it through, it still works fine today. It is simply an old Tablet with old hardware and every app just lags even after flash ROM installs.

I want something with good hardware, around 0, screen size around 10", and good dev support. I want to be able to run newest OS, as well as TWRP. Mainly because my sons will definitely break something on the OS level and I want to be able to easily reflash a nandriod copy. Is Nexus 9 my best option? Should I be looking into anything else? I see Galaxy Tabs are prices really well but don't see much support for them.

Thanks for any advice.

Is S7 worth buying?

Seems like every phone has problems and Android itself has endless problems. The Nexus 6P has an LTE bug where you can't receive calls and it hasn't been fixed in months. The OnePlus forums are full of people hating their phones and the latest OTA for Marshmallow bricks some of their phones. I don't know what to buy. There are lots of complaints about the S7 here also. I am coming from BlackBerry and was totally satisfied but there is no way to live in the modern world without an Android phone or iPhone it seems.

Is the S7 still worth buying, all else considered equal?
