[HELP] Partition issue, no more space for apps

Hi all, thanks for kind support,
I've a 900V CID11 bootloader locked, unrooted, I installed MM 6.0.1 by safestrap.

MY phone is 16GB but it looks I've really small space for apps, someone can kindly describe me how the storage is allocated?
As I guess reading around, the safestrap eat me 2,5gb for some reason, then there is the rom space, then the "sdcard" folder for data. On sdcard I still have 500MB available but I think the phone doesn't want to use them for installing apps. I've 32GB SD but it looks also that with uroot phone I can't move apps there.

Any way to expand the space for installing apps? Any way to repartition the space? Use the 2,5gb of safestrap? Maybe repeat the procedure using flashfire?
By now I've a serious limitation. Thank you for help

What exactly is taking up space in internal memory?

I tried using ES file explorer and SD Maid to analyze internal memory as i have only 500MB of internal storage free and Im not able to install any apps. I was really shocked after seeing the results as if you manually add up size of each individual folder, they hardly add up to 4 GB. I want to know is there any app or some method by which we can thoroughly analyse the internal storage something like spacesniffer for windows?
My device is rooted and running on stock rom( android version- 6.0)

Internal SD Space

I just reflashed stock MM on my Moto X Play, and I am wondering wether I can somehow move my apps and folders reliably on my SD card, since the internal space is really small. I've tried Apps2SD, but couldn't format my SD card right as my Moto would not accept my SD card after creating the Partitions. Does someone have another solution for moving apps/folders to the SD or did someone manage to get Apps2SD working on stock 6.0.1 MM ?

P.S.: I do not want to format my SD as internal.

/data/app/ same application more times - consumes space

Hello all, I searched why I have still low space in my phone (S4 GT-I9505, Omega ROM 42.1), used terminal emulator + 'du -sh' command, and found out that in /data/app/ I have some applications more times, particularly com.android.chrome-.. I have there 29x (chome-1 ... chrome-29), each of these directories consumes approx. 60MB, even though I don't use chome at all

Can I remove these directories?

Sorry if I ask in wrong forum, but I have found many useful hints there already.

Kind regards
Bohuslav

Storage is counting internal files Twice taking up too much space

Anyone know how to fix this issue.
Build Number: LMY47X.G928PVPU2AOI6
Model Number: SM-G928P

/storage/emulated/0
/storage/emulated/legacy

They both contain the same files and are linked together. So if I erase something from one it is erased on the other. That's fine I understand they have the same files.

The issue is my phone is counting the space being used twice. Say I have 14 gb's of free space. Then I download a 2 gb file and I go from 14 gb to 10 gb free.

I also noticed that these 2 paths are linked and have the same files /storage/sdcard0 and /sdcard.

Now I've discovered that all 5 of these paths have the same files I have a Galaxy S6 so I only have internal memory.

/storage/emulated/0
/storage/emulated/legacy
/storage/sdcard0
/storage/sdcard
/mnt/sdcard

Please help it's bad enough I only have 25 gb of space to begin with. Having 12.5 is even worse.

/storage/emulated = 7 gb
/storage/emulated/0 = 3.5 gb
/storage/emulated/Legacy =3.5 gb

Shouldn't /storage/emulated = only say 3.5 gb?

How to turn your Jiake M8 (6580M) into a G8 with 8Gb space

How to turn your Jiake M8 (MT6580M quadcore processor, 512Mb memory and 2 Gb space) to an Jiake G8 with 8Gb space.

First you need a rooted device.
If your device isn't rooted download Kingo Root here : click

Go to settings > security and turn on Unknown sources.
Then go to settings > Developer options and turn on USB debugging.
Now take out the battery but let the phone connected to the PC.

Download this files :
* Jiake G8 Firmware ( http://www.mediafire.com/download/j8..._G8_MT6580.rar )
* 4 Files that you need to flash after the first flash ( http://www.mediafire.com/download/q4...inal_files.rar )
* SP Flash Tool at http://spflashtool.com/

Start up SP Flash Tool , select the scatter file inside the Jiake G8 firmware folder and choose "firmware update".
Now press the download button and put your battery in your phone.
Wait for a circle saying "Ok".

Try to start your phone : it won't :) You will hear startup sounds and you'll see al kind of stripes on the screen.
Now take your battery out again.

Restart SP Flash Tool and select the scatter file in the G8 firmware folder again.
Now deselect all execept : boot.img , lk.img , logo.img and recovery.img
If you have done that change the location of the files to the folder with the 4 files.
Choose again for firmware update and press download.
Now put your battery in your phone and let it flash and wait again for the circle with "ok".

Turn on your phone and see :)

Warning : do not try to replace the 4 files into the folder of the G8 firmware, for some strange reason it won't work !

I did try this with 2 phones and everything was ok, so why not helping other people ? :)

Password for the rar files : gammapooka

Internal storage has space but not /system directory. Help needed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone. I am facing a serious problem. I have 500+mb in my internal storage but the /system directory has oly 5 mb left. I need the /system directory to be about 100mb free because i need to convert some user apps into system apps. Moreover i know that i can uninstall some bloatware to increase space but trust me i removed all the unnecessary apps. Since /system directory is a part of the internal storage is there any method to allocate more space to /system.? Screenshots included.
