Galaxy Apps downloading apps

Does anyone else have a problem downloading apps from the Galaxy Apps store. It only lets me download apps over WiFi and not cellular. The download starts then stops. I have always had this problem. I have checked all of the settings to check to see if there is anything that I have stopping it. I just don't have any way to do it without wifi.

Galaxy S3 Soft Bricked No Recovery Only Downloading Mode

Hi all,

I tried to gain root access to the phone using the Kingoroot app, however this did not work,
instead the phone froze after a while and when I tried to reboot it, it got stuck in an infinite boot loop.

When I tried to get into recovery mode, I saw a long list of items the phone was unable to open, efs, system, cache, etc
and the SD card didn't mount so I couldn't load the new ROM I put on the card.

After installing ODIN, ADK & JDK I tried to flash TWRP, but ODIN did nothing,
I tried to flash the ROM I was intending to use, but again ODIN has failed.

I found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...t2535367/page2
and then tried to restore the partition table, didn't work either

I downloaded the only stock rom I could find that I think is for my phone because I can't actually get in to check, and that also didn't work
Here is the log for the stock rom I tried to load:

<ID:0/003> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

Somewhere in between all this flashing, I for some reason tried to go into recovery mode,
but instead of recovery mode I get the download mode android telling me not to turn off the target

From what I can tell about my country (South Africa) and my network (Vodacom), one of these should be the correct stock ROM but the links are dead and I can't get the ROM to be able to try it
XFE (South africa) - I9300XXALE9 (4.0.4) - 23.05.2012
XFA (South africa) - I9300XXALE9 (4.0.4) - 23.05.2012
Links taken from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...1646610/page66
Also SAM Mobile doesn't have any firmware available for me, even though a lot of the posts in this forum points me to SAM Mobile

If you can offer any suggestions or help me pin point what's causing the problem, I would really appreciate it

Thanks in advance

Given I747 has 4.1.2 but downloading something

Hey all, have the above mentioned phone, been wiped clean and factory reset, SD card blank. But when connected to internet it starts downloading an update from Att. Now I want to root, from what I've read bootloader is unlocked, and then twrp and ROM etc. Should I take the update then root or better to root and do incremental updates then ROM. Tremendous amount of info here and am still a little unsure which way to go. Thanks

Marshmallow update keeps downloading, even after telling it not to repeatedly

My VZ Note 4 keeps downloading marshmallow update at 9:40pm pst, even after I told it not to in system update settings multiple times. First I could stop it by turning off wifi. That worked for several days, but now it resumes download over cellular. When I click on system updates, it says "Download interrupted. Software download will resume automatically."

I've repeatedly rebooted and pulled battery trying to convince it to cancel, but it just resumes.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be massively appreciated.

best method for downloading to shield TV?

With the release of Plex server for shield TV I've decided to make the shield my permanent media server which the media will be saved to a Western digital USB storage device. My problem is getting new media on the shield.

I'd like to have a method to remotely download torrents directly to the western digital drive on the Shield using my phone or laptop. Is there anyway I could achieve this?
