Airplane mode will not turn off

Hi all, I've been battling this problem for days now. Airplanr mode is stuck 'Turning off...' and wont connect to my mobile carrier. Things I've tried:

Restarting phone with and without SIM inserted
Factory reset from setting
Factory reset from recovery mode
Flashed to the same build twice using the flash from SD card method.

I have no idea what to do next. I doubt it's a hardware problem as the phone detects the sim card when I put it in and asks if it's O2 pay and go or pay monthly, so it can even read it, it's just the phone wont come out of airplane mode.

I am on holiday without a PC but feel free to post ideas that requires one. I would rather not root or s-off the device just yet, and would rather stay on stock ROM as it's still in warranty. Problem is, it's in the UK and the warranty is held in Taiwan, which means sending it internationally to get it fixed. It's also a problem as there is a language barrier between me and their support for phone calls and their live chat button appears to always be greyed out.

How to turn off airplane mode notification?

Is there any way to turn it off? I'm on AryaMod 8.3 but there is no way to turn it off either. Maybe some Xposed Framework module or something else? I tried to search xposed modules expository but no luck or I missed something.

Keep having to toggle airplane mode?

Hey guys,

I'm on cricket network in the US. Ive noticed that only with this phone I have to sometimes toggle airplane mode to regain my data connection. I have pretty weak signal, and sometimes when it loses it, it won't come back on its own. My iPhone also loses signal constantly but reconnects on its own. Why could this be? APN settings are fine, the sim is fine, so I'm not sure what it is.

I'm hoping it's not a hardware issue and it doesn't seem like it, but I just got my RMA back and I'm not to keen on sending it in again!

Thanks for any answers!

Found a bug with Fingerprint Unlock and Airplane Mode

Hi, first time posting here.

As the title states, I found a bug with the fingerprint unlock system on my S6 Edge (SM-G925F) running Marshmallow 6.0.1. I tried Google but no go. Seems this hasn't been reported so far. Mods, please take down this thread if it has :)

I reside in Germany and am currently on vacation in the United Arab Emirates. I found that my SIM card wouldn't go on Roaming mode so I just keep it in Airplane Mode and turn the WiFi on. That isn't a problem however. Here's the bug now.

If your SIM Card requires a PIN to unlock the phone after you reboot it and you have Airplane Mode on, the phone will not ask for the SIM Card's PIN. Instead it will take you to a normal unlock screen without the "use password instead of fingerprint for first time" screen. At the normal unlock screen, your fingerprints will not be registered at all. You have to use your backup password that you set (Note: The fingerprints work in the Fingerprints security menu so the sensor is actually fine). This happens even if you unlock using password and lock it again. It will keep doing this until you deactivate Airplane Mode, at which point it will ask for the SIM Card PIN. After this point, the fingerprint unlock works fine.

TL;DR: If you have a SIM that requires PIN on reboot and you use Airplane Mode, the PIN won't be asked for and you have to use your backup password to unlock. Fingerprints won't unlock until you turn off Airplane Mode and enter the SIM's PIN.
