Send a file via SMS

Hi.
I asked this question in stackoverflow, but no one answered me. (just two minus vote)
This is almost a Yes/No question, but I would appreciate it if you give me a complete answer.
Is this possible to send a file (e.g. APK or image files) using SMS?
I know a SMS packet has 140 byte size limitation, and I have to send several SMS messages to send a file.
Except SMS messages, is it possible send an application on GSM?
Thanks.

sms sometimes doesn't send

Hi,
So I have a Moto X (2nd gen) with marshmallow and root and I use google messenger. Sometimes when i text something and press ''send'' after a few seconds while it is sending the message, It then shows that ''not sent, tap to try again'' and when i tap again it sends the sms just fine. I have the same problem while using stock sms app.
It's really annoying and I always have to make sure that my sms is sent because i never know when it is going to happen. It happens really randomly. Maybe somebody got an idea what could be the cause of this ?
Thanks.

can't send message with card 1, error 500

Hi all

I'm very new to this and thought that this would be the best place to ask for help. I have an nvidia shield tablet 32gb LTE version. The tablet can receive text messages just fine as I've tested it by sending a message from my phone to the tablet but it will not allow me to reply back and when I do i get this error message "Can't send message with card 1, error 500". Has any one else experienced this and found a fix?

I've gone into the message settings but it doesn't really give me much. There was a blank section that asked for my number and I filled it in but that's about as far as I got.

Running android 6.0.1 no root

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks before hand

Can't send or receive SMS, can't disable Voice+ in CM11

A couple days ago I installed CM11 on my Sony Xperia T2 Ultra. I recieved one text from my provider (TalkTalk) and have been since unable to send or receive any SMSs. I can still call and get called, as well as use mobile data. I think I've narrowed the problem down to Voice+ being enabled, and at first the disable option in the app menu was greyed out. I installed Google voice from an external site, and now Voice+ shows up under "Wireless & Networks", but even if I select the disable option it keeps the "Enable all apps to send SMS through Google Voice" text, and I still can't send SMS. I really want to be able to text but I also don't want to downgrade back to the default ROM.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Can I re-lock bootloader (or is it needed)? Must send out for warranty.

The camera module's pooched (started failing in 5.1 with not being able to focus on near objects, now it won't run at all). Weird shenanigans in 5.1 as opposed to the stock 4.3 that it came from. In 4.3, I can run Flashlight, but Gallery crashes when Camera is run. Front camera works intermittent - rear camera not at all. In 5.1, I cannot run either the camera app or Flashlight (quick access menu) and if Flashlight is pressed, the LED will shine for 5 seconds, turn off, and the Flashlight icon will stay half-lit until the phone is soft-reset. 5.1 gives the notification "cannot start the camera - make sure 3rd party apps (such as Flashlight) aren't running" (with everything disabled).

The only constant is that the rear camera will not function in either Android environment.

It's still under warranty with Wind, do I even need to worry about the unlocked bootloader or no? Either of these were stock Android with no root.

Have 4g data, can receive and send text, but cannot dial out or receive calls.

Hi Everyone!

Here's the back story. I have an unlocked note 2. I've been using wilsons ROM for over a year and decided to switch to Cyanide a couple days ago.
Download all the files, everything went fine during install. Booted up normally. Got everything set up. Great right!? Everything was until I unplugged the phone from the charger and it started playing a notification and would not stop. So I rebooted the phone and from that moment on the phone will not see the cellular network. Data is there, and I can send and receive messages, but I cannot dial out or receive calls.

I've gone to VZW and picked up a new SIM - same result.
I've tried restoring backups - same result.
I've odin'd back to full stock out of the box condition - same result.
Unlocked the bootloader again and tried reflashing the ROMs and the same result.
Any ideas on how to fix this? Could it be a hardware issue? Change antennas?

** Cliffs - Unlocked bootloader Note2 - Installed Cyanide, set everything up, rebooted and lost cellular network connection. Flashed all the way back to stock, nothing changed.

Any advice is welcome. I'm stumped as to why it's not working but data is.

Thanks in advance.
